>$1 per car is reasonable to me

Well, if the game goes up to 500 cars at his end of life, paying $1 each car would make you ~$300 poorer.

I don't know if that's a good deal. :D

Unless you're a bit OCD like me, you don't actually have to buy them all, but yes, that's still a lot of money in the grand scheme of things. Especially if PD "does a PD" and offers you 7 different variations of the R34 GT-R as DLC...

Ultimately you have to think about it as money you'd end up spending on other less useful stuff in day to day life. That's what I tell my wife anyway.

We know this wasn't plan B. Are you really suggesting they set aside a portion of the budget and spent months on these things just in case they MIGHT need it? That's a silly idea.

I was strictly talking about the career mode (notice I said just in case the online focus wasn’t well received), which I highly doubt took months and a large portion of the budget to make. I even said in a post further down that it would probably be added in the game anyway. When it did all depended on the reception of the game. And seeing how it's being brought in only a month after release, it seems like they're having to use it sooner rather than later.

All the other stuff like the new cars being added were going to come regardless.

for me they can charge whatever they want, as long as they keep up more content i'll buy it whatever it is, sometimes i think PD don't like money.

They need to make good use of FIA partnership and give us some more real world tracks like Spa, Silverstone, Laguna Seca, Monza, La Sarthe, Imola etc.
You actually hit the nail on the head because FIA contractually needed to be the highlight upon game release, but Kaz always has great vision, (pun intended), now that the FIA tournaments have been tested, it's time to "unleash the beast" we all know & love called "Gran Turismo"!

It's nice to see the leagues are making it back but most of the tracks are fantasy circuits so that kills it' for me.:banghead::crazy:👎

Samba bus what a joke! Can I have this insted

Can I just gloat a tiny bit at how I impeccably called it? An announcement before November ends, and the update coming in December :sly::sly:

Is that a new Suzuki Swift Sport or is that the same Suzuki Swift Sport that was present in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue? The silhouette reminds me a little too much of the old out-of-date version of the car instead of the car pictured.

It's the old one from GT6.

Silhouette is similar, but it's clearly the old one as far as I can tell.

Sorry but Silverstone, De La Sarthe and other REAL tracks is far more critical, prioritized and supposed to be available in day 1. I know Samba Bus is also legendary car but no. Why they have time to model a Samba Bus? Why not a real track?

/rant
Only marketing applied to the vg industry...
Real track cost so much in term of license, modeling ecc...
Fantasy track cost more less
To change a game is more convenient to make a lot of NEW fantasy track, one or two New real track and take care the Old real track for future update (in fact just modeled and ready to go with some adjustment)

With the car too...
One real model need about 3 month to modeled ...
Just start from one real model and just with the imagination make a GT4 version, GT3 version, GR.B version, monster street version.... you now have 5 car in garage with more less time to need model a New real car...
In the main time some people work with New model an in the main time some people convert old GT6 model....

It's simply... of you want a great track selection buy Pcars2... SMS try to win the SIM-battle with this card
If you want a great simulation buy AC
If you are a fanboy and want to play GT... buy GT

I've read this from several people and I've wrote it myself. :) It would be pretty stupid from PD not to release something this holiday season (between BF and Christmas). Black Friday sales are still open in some places (here in my country until the 26th) and this announcement came just in time.

Having said that, PD made stupid decisions in the past so this, on a bad day, could well be nothing but a good intention. ^^

Good we'll be getting something nice.

As with most everyone else's sentiments this is a good move on PD's part, This is what happens when they listen to the fans, But I guess better late than never is better than not at all.

Probably not. It’s a lot easier for them to remake a car that they already had in GT5 then an entirely new (the last Supra model was from GT3, there isn’t much they can take/reuse from that) vehicle which needs to be sourced, scanned, etc.
