Yeah, I though it was odd, but there again I've just finished night shift, so I wasn't goint to quibble it.

To paraphrase Thomas Gradgrind (I think it was this character), it's of not much importance if the failure rate is 0.04% or 0.4% if yours is one of the PS4s which doesn't work.

It's also hard to tell the difference between people who've got a broken PS4 and those who've just got a TV with out of date firmware or a dodgy HDMI connection, or who haven't plugged it in etc.

Xbox One failures will be even grater than PS4. So there is nothing to be alarmed.

My brother and I have scheduled vacation time from our jobs to come home for Christmas for about a week. Last night on the phone my dad suggested I get a PS4 for us all to use that week, his treat. He's kind of awesome like that. But of course they're all sold out in stores.

So, any strategies for getting one at retail price within in the next month?

I imagine Sony will be shipping as many as they can before Christmas, but I've never tried to get such a high-demand product so I don't know what a good method is to find one. Too bad he didn't make the suggestion on the 14th, I know of several stores in my area that had short lines Friday morning and I could have grabbed one pretty easy!

According to Yahoo! the rate of reported negative feedback is actually decreasing for the PS4. I'm interested to see if other media outlets report the same as Yahoo! isn't all that accurate.

When I try to watch live streams, anything from Twitch won't open. Ustream streams are working fine. Also broadcasting on twitch is working, anybody know why?

Is anyone else getting sore hands from the controller playing shooters?

In about 15 minutes my hands feel tired and strained. I know this sounds dumb but it's killing the ps4 for me. Has anyone seen anything about how soon done 3rd party controllers will be out.

How are you gripping the controller? I know I don't have a PS4 yet but I have held a PS4 controller for a while and had no issues.

There's just something weird about it. It's not the same as the ps3. Something about this one makes you reach farther forward and reach farther down for the triggers.

I think it's where the ps3 had a deeper cutout on the back if it and this one doesn't.

Yah, they want you to use R2/L2 for shoot/aim. It was strange at first but now it feels right/better. In Bf4 I couldn't change them to R1/L1

The ds4 has limited ps3 functionality. The ds3 doesn't work with the the ps4 at all.

The system combined with Vita is pretty ... well pretty damn awesome.

It just works well, is amazing tech.


And yeah, lack of media playback is a bitch too, but meh, I got a PC for those. This thing seem more like only game focused.

It's certainly all food for thought. I myself will hold off on a PS4 til we see the next installment of GT. By then the major issues bugs and possibly a revised version will have been sorted by then. If GT6 had been PS4 then it may have meant me sitting here with something I could use to start constructing a new house. Enjoy PS4 peeps hope it gives you as much joy as the 3 did.

Has anyone played madden or tried nba live? EA has made a mess of this console launch. They have easily the 3 worst games out for the ps4 with madden, live and battlefield.
Nba live feels like it should be on the ps2. It's terrible. Madden does t even look as good or play as good as the ps3 version and battlefield is broke.

Wonder what's happening at EA. Has there been a new CEO put in place there in the last year or so?

Rush out sport titles, NFS Rivals is the only worthy one, not even BF4 matches the PC version.

Plus question, can I do the vita stream thing backwards (stream vita games to the PS4?)

Unless this is some extremely convoluted anti-hacking scheme. In which case I hope someone hacks the PS4 immediately.

I got to mess around with Playroom for a few minutes. Unfortunately, we only have one controller for the next few days so we couldn't check out AR hockey and do any inappropriate champagne sprays but those guys are really cute. The best part was when my dog walked by and flung some in the air and then knocked others over. They screamed, stood up, he turned so he butt was facing the camera, and they started playing peekaboo with him. Not a whole lot of depth to the program but there is supposed to be DLC from different developers. I heard Double Fine was one.

They want you to buy their music subscription service and buy movies from PSN. Next thing you know, they'll be adding a Photos section to the store where you can buy pictures of their friends and family.

Here you go, Xbox One isn't even console, it's PC and it crashes hard. So from Microsoft we can expect only worse than from Sony. Infamous Red Ring of Death in Xbox 360, already gives impressions that Xbox One won't last long.

You have to remember also that those 0.04% of faulty PS4 were sabotaged in factory. I've read article somewhere stating that those student who were forced to help in Sony factory actually were angry and sabotaged some part of production line.
