Can't find anything about it. If it winds up being the same controller with a better battery, I'll pick one up. As much as I hate to say it, I won't buy it if it doesn't have the lightbar. It may be pointless now, but when Morpheus releases...

I doubt they would get rid of lightbar. It seems to be just a revision of original controller and hopefully for the better. I have linked to new controller first and the old one below, hopefully links work for you if you want to see. In the FCC report, you can see different battery supply voltage, it does not say the capacity of battery though for new controller. Need to wait some months before they put user manual which should state it or wait for a leak from someone who has it already.

Thanks for sharing. Longer battery life would be much appreciated... Oh, and it would be nice if they raised the share and options buttons a little, but battery life is #1-10 on the list.

Hopefully they do a better job than they did with the PS3 app. You can watch it in the browser. Just type in the regular youtube url and add "/tv" at the end. You can log in with your account and pair a phone/device to make searching easier. Unfortunately, certain videos will not be available as the uploaders haven't deemed us "tv peasants" worthy of watching them.

Somehow that slipped my mind about using the browser for YouTube so thanks for reminding me.👍
I'll check it out tonight as recently the PS3 has been used for this alot.

Amen to an app for the PS4 being better than the PS3 version. If it wasn't for the ability to search and whatnot with a phone/tablet I would find it near on impossible to use.

An app like the X360 has would be great.. The only reason why I still have an XBox connected is because the YT app is really good. When I try it on the PS3 with the browser it's really slow and the quality it plays is even worse!

Can't wait, in exactly 12 hours I'm walking through stores looking for a PS4 :D

Sooooo no PS4 available anywhere here it looks like. Couldn't wait and got me a black market PS4.

Have been playing a couple of rounds on BF4 and I must say I am not disappointed. The graphics are nice and loading times are okay, no disconnects or sudden freeze (I experienced these a lot on the PS3).

I'm also liking the recording and screenshot feature. Many times in Assassins Creed 4 (PS3) I wanted to take a screenshot because it's so nice, now I finally can :) Though I haven't got AC4 for PS4 and I'm not planning to, with Watch Dogs coming out soon I'm probably not going through AC4 again. Unity is coming too so I'll get my AC screenshots sooner or later :D

Going to play some FIFA 14 tonight, see how that is. I hope its MUCH nicer than the PS3 version, (I haven't seen any footage of it on the PS4, intentionally) but it must be with its new engine.

Still not sure if I'm going to buy that extra DS4, the stores I've been didn't have any.. And I would actually like a red or blue one, but those are expected over 8 to 10 weeks :scared: Did lower the brightness of the light bar so I hope the battery will have a little longer lifetime.

PS4 definitely needs GT6 premium edition or whatever they are going to call it. If Sony does announce it at E3 then this will be a epic win. PS4 also got other good games. But PS4 version of GT6 will help them the most.

No, I don't thnik PS4 needs a GT6 'Remaster Edition'. PS4 needs a GT7 Prologue!
I would rather have a GT6 version for PSVITA.

As been proven before, Sony does not need GT to push PS4 sales.

Also, GT6 needs to be finished on the PS3, not ported to another console just so people shell out more money for a complete game they were supposed to get in the first place.

As I stated before, that is the most retarded Idea Sony can come up.

I could elaborate further but is pretty obvious on it's own.

Agreed with the first point - though regarding the second, I think the PS3 version would get just as much content as the PS4 one, if a port were to come out.

Don't forget also, that it was an unsubstantiated rumour in the first place that suggested GT6 would be getting a PS4 port.

I am not talking about port. I am talking about the premium version with sufficient updates for PS4.

I do not think they would call it GT7 at best GT7P or GT6 premium or something. But IMHO they need to do for PS4. They can't be too late. PS4 is also dev friendly so that should help

I love when people set themselves to disappointment.

GT7 WON'T happen this year, no announcement or teasers. why is people so blindfolded into thinking that the PS4 will fix all GT's problems, and for that matter why do people think that PS4 need such a thing (even if GT games are one of the main reasons why PSs are sold, that is old history as the market is more varied).

Driveclub was set to release on NOVEMBER 2013 and is not even out, :censored:ing Planetside 2 was set to be Q1 2014 and is not even out, I could go on with War Thunder for US regions, Watch Dogs, and some other IPs that will probably get postponed in favour of more QA time (which I really don't mind, BF4 being broken is what killed PC gaming for me).

Here I'm hoping to get Planetside 2 by August, and maybe The Crew in a fixed release date for November, GT7 or whatever can wait until 2015, the thing has way too many things to redesign for the PS4 and it's online features (I really like GT6's career mode design, but it is simply useless for something so online orientated like the PS4, so a basic mayor overhaul of that part is required to even think into making it for the PS4, and here we have ND saying how it was a bitch to port the UI into the PS4, that not even taking into account that PD hasn't finished working the online features for GT6 on the PS3).

Until Kaz decides to go back to the studio and manage the day to day operation of his studio GT is going to remain a broken game. You could tell in prologue when Kaz stopped running the studio. When the fix for people using a clutch being faster was to dumb down clutch support instead of fixing the auto trans I knew GT5 was in trouble, then they came up with "standard" cars to try and cover up the fact that not a thing was accomplished in the last 8 months of prologue.

That isn't to mention all of the great titles that are already on the system, like Strider. The point being that 2014 will eventually be a great year for Playstation. We don't need GT to muck it up. If we must have a GT announcement at E3, it will be a video at best.

...with War Thunder for US regions...
I don't think the US availability of WT has anything to do with delays. After all, it's been available in the EU since PS4 launch and Gaijin have stuck to their proposed schedule as far as I'm aware. Full release should be soon, at which point the PS4 will get the Ground Forces portion that the PC crowd have just had patched into the game. It will until then remain in Beta stage.

The first listing on a website related to the Indonesian Ministry of Communications shows the model number (CUH-1106A). The Asian PS4 model name is (CUH-1006A), and as DualShockers suggest, this could indicate a newer revision of sorts of the PS4 model, not a completely new model like the older Slim to the original PS3.

If true, then this could be a slightly revised version of the PS4, not a 'slim' variant.

Hi,

Been using Dualshock controller for past few months and speaker volume levels from controller have been fine while playing games. However recently I just played some Resogun again and noticed that although speaker is still producing sound the volume levels have dramatically decreased. Playing Resogun and Dead Nation for example sounds are barely audible even with controller speaker volume set to maximum.

Its the same with sounds on system menus. Adjusting the controller volume level in options for controller still works with volume levels increasing / decreasing but sound levels are a fraction of previous expected volume levels.

Tried searching online but couldn't find anyone experiencing similar issues only controllers where speaker stop producing sound altogether.

System software is fully updated to 1.70 and was just wondering if anyone is experiencing any similar issues since latest update as I know it has caused issues with vibration on controllers for some people or is it likely a case of the controller gone faulty and needing replaced.

Tried resetting the controller using the pinhole and paring with the console again but had no effect. Thanks.

Have you checked the settings menu?

No offence but GT6 would be terrible. Not only that it could add to a reputation of no new games.

I'm looking for the next gen GT, GT7 prologue.

Yeah checked the settings menu and controller output volume is set at max but the sounds levels from speaker are a lot lower than usual from controller. The slider is working as expected though as if reduce / increase then controller speaker volume adjusts accordingly. However the volume levels are a lot quieter than they were initially.

I assume you only have one controller, maybe checking a different speaker if you have one?
