Ditto. There will be some charge for using the service. But I think you will be able to play owned games that way. Sony will have to do something to entice people to pay for the service. Maybe it will be the next step for ps+. There will be free games for subscribers. They can offer a few free games per month. They aren't limited to ps3 games either. A huge library of ps2 and ps1 games would be great. Either way, they'll have to do something to convince the general public to subscribe when they could just play the games on ps3 anyway.

So what would happen if someone has heaps of games for the ps3 I wonder if the would still charge us to play them on ps4.

Well, bear in mind this is all guesswork, but I believe that subscribers to the service would be able to play their existing game collection as long as the disc of the game they want to play is in the PS4 system. As for games bought on PSN, they would already be unlocked on your account as the account is linked to your PSN account.

Why they want to charge you again for games? You don't sell your PS3 just because you have tons of games for it and because it's still be supported by almost every game developer.

PS3 for ps3_games + PS4 for ps4_games

Well yes but cash saver! If you think that selling ps3 for substantial amount of cash that will add up to ps4 price will be good idea than you might be wrong.

Market will be flown with second used ps3 and the price will be low, so don't count for good deal on your ps3. Rather keep it and start putting aside some money for ps4, if after 20.02.2013 it turns out to be worth buying.

Ps2 and Ps3 DS controllers were never good video pilots, you know to watch movies, would be nice if new controller be better. Knowing sony they will also made separate one just for nice for you to buy

Yeah I know what you mean I traded my ps2, 40 games and my wii with 5 games for a ps3 and 2 games.

Good deal 👍 I'm intend to keep mine ps3, and buy ps4 if it turns out to be spectacular as ps3 was during it's premiere day. And after when xbox'es keep getting Rrod while ps3 keep pounding days and nights until Ylod's finally caught with them

I like this idea. You could insert a PS3 disc, the PS4's laser will scan it and once it's picked up what game it is, it could imprint something on the disc to make it usuable for that console only?

I don't want to repay for a game I already own, so this is something I hope for.

I've just realised I'm not going to be able to watch this live, I know it's a few days to go but would someone be able to do me a favour and as soon as one is available PM me with a link to an on demand video that does NOT reveal anything from it? I'd still like to watch it with an air of surprise in otherwords, so I'd just need a direct link to a replay stream that reveals nothing on the page.

Because trying to browse and find one myself without spoiling anything is probably impossible but with a PM I can just go there direct without looking at anything.

No, it's a prototype. That thing it's plugged in to isn't the final PS4 either.

Anyone wonder what games new consoles will give us?

Slightly modified controller, more power in game console, better graphics. But what with the games. Those are most important bits.

• Tekken 7
• Ridge Racer 7

For me it's weird that new generations only increase number behind title. At least over the years Naughty Dog were able to kill crash bandicoot and introduce us Nathan Drake. Which was great but not enough. I'm staring to wonder if new generation will turns out worthy to even bother.

After PS4 will be announced it will be time to focus our attention on game developers. What they have to offer.

I don't want bigger numbers, some new ideas have to be there like Journey

I would expect (hope) most of the big Sony games to be released with the console. So Killzone, GT, God of War, LBP, Uncharted, Resistance, InFamous would certainly help shifting consoles early doors.

You mean 8? I want to see a new Little Big planet that combines The platform and Karting.

A new PlayStation Home integrated into the OS but optional. I want to log on and anytime a player is online in the home screen you are automatically in PS home and all your friends not in games are in the same hub if it they choose to be. Chat would be automatically engaged too if chosen

All the current loading and confusing navigation needs to go. Those who say its useless and dead clearly don't use it, it needs an overhaul. I've yet to see an empty space. I still like the idea but its limited by the hardware and can be so much better on PS4 with proper integration.

I don't expect that and I don't hope they do, I'd prefer Sony let them explore their creativity rather than recycle games like Nintendo does. Sony doesn't have a reputation of exploiting franchises console to console. Some games will make it but I'm expecting Sony to go with new IPs early on much like they did with PS2 and PS3. But who knows.

Agree, I'm sure they make quite a bit off of home, but it has just become too laggy and has too many loading screens.. will be interesting to see how they upgrade it on ps4.
