According to Digital Nitrate's own experience and information, Sub Accounts aren't allowed to use HOME. I'll get the link to the posts where he explained that to me.

In the closed beta, I downloaded HOME to my main account. At first my sub account wouldn't connect to HOME, but after a couple of days, both accounts worked fine. My main account, and my sub account, each had it's own avatar, and both worked just like they should.

Can I sit and enjoy virtual drinks? If I can do that then it will be just like real life.

All I know is based on some of the comments here and in the "very scary" official NA PS Home Forums, there are a lot of people that need to turn everything off, pour themselves a generous shot of their favorite liquor... and not the virtual kind! :)

However, for those that would like to share a tale of adventure over a virtual drink, feel free to meet me in Sully's Bar later this evening.

Who knows maybe after a few virtual shots I'll give you the code to unlock the door upstairs. ;)

Hey if you can't get on Home then simply find an alternative form of entertainment.

Me I've simply been reading the posts over at the official EU Playstation forums......

.....a greater collection of 'individuals' you will struggle to find.

Honestly the next time someone complaints about exactly why we have high standards for spelling, grammar and posting style, I'm simply going to give them this as an example of what happens if you don't have a strong AUP.....

....now hands up who is glad GTP is the way it is.

Truer words have never been spoken!

The same goes for the official NA PlayStation forums... :nervous:

The same can be said about so many poorly managed and moderated sites like NeoGAF and such... although to be fair, all those sites seem to attract a very different kind of demographic... to put it nicely.

Amen to that! 👍

Well I decided to give up for a few hours and just calm down (it's just annoying when people are signing into Home with messages coming to me 'IM IN!!!' when I can't get close!), tried again and still no joy, I seem to move more backwards then forwards as I try. It would seem I have no chance of getting into the GTP Club because I feel like I'm never going to get on and certainly not tonight as I'm off to sleep soon.

PS3 froze. Had to turn off PS3 by hand and now I can't sign back in. Keeps throwing different errors.

was playing pool with Mr_Geez.. then connection broke. looks like servers are down for me..

hey ripping silk! you disappeared from our pool game, does it mean I won

my connextion broke.. can't get back now... you win by default ! :)

sub-accounts don't work at the moment, there is always some error popping up.. so no tag for me at the moment..

EDIT: my first won game, now that's something!! ;)

NOT a Sub Account !!!!

Edit: and, btw, this reminds me I'll have to download HOME from my master un-used account "Hun200kmh", where I don't have any PSN friends. So if anyone plans to meet me, don't bother looking for GTP_Hun.

btw, for my NA friends that might read this, my US Account (yes, yes, I have one to get the goodies from the US Store :D ) is named "INLINE_FOUR" (no friends there either)

I have great news to report!

After daring to post a thread in the insanity that is the *Official NA PS Home Forum, thanks to a very helpful member by the name of psxexpert, I found out how to make it so a sub account has access to Home! 👍

* I'm not exaggerating... the majority of people posting in that forum are so fanatical. I've even been accused of being a 360 fanboy in there.... go figure!

While it sounds, and in my opinion is backwards thinking, the trick to getting a sub account into Home is to log in to the PS3 as the Master Account that controls that sub account. Then go to the PlayStation Network menu bar and be sure you are signed onto the PSN. Now select the Account Management option. The select Sub Account Management. Then select Parental Control. It will then prompt you to put in your password for authentication. Then select the sub account you wish to change the settings for.

Now you will see the menu where you can set restrictions on chat, content, and spending limits.

The trick here is that while it would make sense that having the content restrictions turned off is not only something you would do if it was just a secondary account, or that of a spouse, but for some reason Home doesn't like that.

So in order to allow a sub account into Home, you must be sure that you have the Content Restrictions turned ON. If so, then that sub account will have access to Home.

Now what I still do not know is if by having the content restrictions on... what if any content in Home or in games, or on the PSN store will be "missing" or blocked for that sub account holder.

I asked my wife to tell me if she notices anything strange, and if so to let me know. I'll gladly pass on what I find out for those interested.

Bottom line at least, while Sony still has to figure a way for us to be able to change a sub account to a master account, at least there is a work around that will allow sub accounts into Home. 👍

Im outa internet speed so im stuck in my apartment waiting for some stuff to download. I started the square and then 20mins later it wasnt done yet so I looked around on the map and found farcry. Cool farcry, lets download it, I press download and it stops my square download and takes over, I have no way to pause it...dammit. My personal space looks pretty gay atm.

Also, a bubble blower in my inventory...wtf.

Pretty impressed so far - finally got in after UK and US PSN accounts failed (the UK one finally got in). Downloading the spaces on a slow connection right now...

For those that don't realise, each space has about 50 users with 14 or so slots for friends. So, we're not all in one space together. When someone a few posts back said meet me in the Home Square, I thought I should say something - chances are we're not in the same 'space'.

Ok, where are you guys? Let's meet somewhere! I'm at the theater at the moment...

EDIT: At Central Plaza now...
