POLL: Do You Like The <1,000,000 Cr. Gift Restriction?

I can hook my PS3 controller up to a rubber band for an afternoon and literally come back to enough funds and experience to buy an X1 outright.
Or I can just use B-Spec and accomplish the same thing with even less effort. Do I deserve the car then?

Intelligent responses would be nice.

Really don't want to spend my intelligence with someone that will just go against anything that people post. You seem to be a really smart guy, shame that you only use your massive intelligence to complain. That's all I see in your latest posts.

But hey, it isn't worth to have this talk... Let's just move on... I keep reading, you keep hating... cya

I find it funny how people say that pricey car are now rare and that people getting them will have deserved them.

Because:

A: Most people got these cars already, they are far from rare and will probably never be.
B: Duping and using B-spec/A-spec + rubberbands is not what I would call working hard for your cars.

This just lets people who can play hours and hours of GT5 gloat over those who have a life outside of GT5, like a wife or girlfriend, children, work. Auto grind remote b-spec is now where a lot of people will turn to. I used gifting to save money so I don't have to grind, but hey, some how me doing that affects how YOU choose to play the game? Get a life. GT5 is not real life, no matter how much you want it to be. The time you spent playing it and buying a car in the game doesn't help you achieve much in real life. However, getting a graduate/doctorate degree and working in a high paying job does.

For those who saved enough for these cars, they are special...

I just won my Alfa TZ the right way. And you can bet I take care of it as a jewel...

If I had 15 of them.... it won't be the same.

You won it the right way in that you had to watch your ps3 race for you?

You mean you will actually respect something more because you earned it. There is a novelty. Bravo.

So you feel that people should have a right to dictate to others how to play a game?

Rubberband Trick and/or B-Spec has made this defense meaningless since the day the game came out. The only difference between duping and grinding credits using one of those two methods is that duping took more effort.

That's fine by me. If anyone got a feeling like they should spent over 15 hours grinding oval for 1 car and they actually will be happy after that... ok, your game, your time.
But saying that other people are not allowed to get those cars, jus because they don't have a time/good enough reasons to grind on oval is not right. It were said a few times: why would anyone care how other people playing to their games, if it does not affect your gameplay at all?

I really don't mind that they did this now (before the 1.06 update, it would have been worse). I can loan a friend a car by putting it online, so they can get the best out of my garage and vice versa.

I hope they allow me to sell my duplicate cars (duplicated through prizes, tickets and purchases, not the infamous duping trick) now. I have multiples of some cars that are worth a mint but I can't sell and can no longer gift to friends who don't have those cars (the GT40 comes to mind).

Also, all those eBay traders are going to be ****-outta-luck now. :)

Don't care about duping.

although, I do wish they'd remove the credits cap and also the ridiculous expense of rebuilding the engine and chassis fix.

Exactly, those that want to feel special about having a 20mil car CANNOT feel special before this patch. After, they can feel special again. Its all about FEELINGS

1.- To get that "trick" You have to unlock enduro races and grinding, at this point every car you have you deserve it. You know I don't have an X1 because I haven't passed the challenge and getting it from a trade it is worthless ( if I can't winning in the track is because I don't have the enough skills yet to driving it!)

2.- Believe me, it's a major effort to take care on those Bob's, you have to literally baby-sitting them until they got level 20 or even more:crazy:

it's pretty obvious that this was intended to stop the x2010 duping. why not just prevent that one car from being traded and leave the rest alone?

Everyone deserves a car from the moment they buy the game. And the trouble you have with the X1 challenge is that PD forces you to drive the car really fast without being able to practice in it. On the other hand, duping allowed you to get an X1 and practice until you could drive it without worry about touching the sand and sitting through loading screens. You could also go race the X1 online and develop skills that way, perhaps communicating with better drivers.

I only hope enough X1's were duped so it's very common, or there will be no point to having one. What am I going to race against?

There is also the problem of A-Spec being terrible, and now PD are putting more pressure on players to play it.

If anything this shouldn't be done because its going to drive newer players away from the game.

I just picked the game up on 1/22. A tad over a month. All of my buddys that im playing with have been playing since the game came out and have insane cars. And by Duping (on my "One Car a Day Plan") i was able to deepen my garage without the having to grind for 6+ months.

Now honestly, why should i have to do this?

Exactly, all this does is drive casual gamers away from this game, which I suspect is exactly what some people on this board wants to happen.

Back when the older style of Seasonal Events were up (handful of events with massive XP/Credits), you only had to do two weeks worth of them and about half of the normal Special Events and you would be at a level high enough to get into the Indy Race and have enough funds to buy a car that would do it without much problem.

2.- Believe me, it's a major effort to take care on those Bob's, you have to literally baby-sitting them until they got level 20 or even more:crazy:
B-Spec would require a bit of grinding (though not much baby sitting if you gave Bob a massively overpowered car), but you could completely automate the process when you got to a level that paid out good XP/Credits (like the European Championship race at Rome) with something as simple as a USB keyboard, a piece of string and an oscillating fan.

Not really, but i like seeing people cry foul over something trivial. Ipersonally would have loved to see PD delete all the duped cars...naw that would have been a HOOT!

Hitler's back :scared:. Lol, jk, was that too far?

But honestly, who are these confused, naive people who keep voting "like"...

really??? PD preventing you from getting the car??

they just completely butcher the Vettel challenge by making the bronze time so stupid my grandmother can make it and if you are that lazy, you still get the car gifted when you reach level 35.

of course you have to drive like a madman the X2010, so you get to know it's limit and respect the effort of that car.

Lol... it's a video game, it's supposed to be hard and it is supposed to take time to beat completely. I feel like I'm reading a lot of posts from non-gamers who enjoyed the idea of having a quick fap with this game.

How is driving around a single oval hundreds of times literally spell out a fun game for you? How is that a "game" you want to play.

So the cars are duped, they are there. They dint get the problem by the roots. I tradEd my beloved Ford gt lmII test car for a clk gtr because i fancy mercs. I thought twice to do that but after i still could buy it again, i went for it.
Point is i fidnt bday exploit. What haopened the ones that did baught me out of every deal with multiple 20000000 cars. Then came duping (ididnt do) that helped me get dome cars but again people didnt care and baught me out on deals. And now all the people that bdayed and duped got their **** together and who is looming dumb??? The ones that grinded and offered their hard earned cars while the duoers and co kept their money because instead of buying cars they traded it with a duped x1 or what ever. So who lost again??
This is utter nonesense and the damage is done and now they cripe the game instead of finishing it. Wabt a proof? The share with friends didnt wirk, tried it from day one. I thaught that was a great idea, that nade people start send cars to others who needed ehich led to trading... This is the cheapest way of doing something completly wrong! Who knows 1000000+ cars will pop up in Ps Store so u can buy em (if that hapoens no way i get an other polyphony thingy)

First the

Whats shameful is the lack of discipline by the some of the GT community. It led to PD taking drastic measures. My hope is that this this forces the rinse and repeat complainers to leave.
Exactly, PD had good intentions when they implemented trading, but people took advantage of it so now it's restricted. The whole point of trading was to trade, not get a car and keep your car.

It is similar to the GT Academy cheaters, people find a loop hole and run with it.

And Just to clarify my stance, I don't care about duping. If thats how you want to play that's fine, but it wasn't what PD intended when they set the system up so they fixed it.

Why stop at 1 million then?

Why would I only drive ovals? I plan on driving the bonus seasonals and redoing the A-spec events I like. What are you talking about? The fastest way to complete the game? Cause that's exactly what I am not talking about.

You don't have to grind. There are plenty of things to do in this game without grinding Indy all day. I race what I want to race, and I have fun doing it. You should try it sometime.

PD's fault. I'm playing to GT since GT2. Never had a feeling like i should "dupe" or "glitch" anything in GT2, 3 and 4.
There were enough of events to do, some challengeds. I've spent over 1 year on my 1st GT4 save and reached 99.8%. Then i restarted it a few times and played for a few more years.
Now, with GT5 i were done in 50 hours. Only long endurance events left.
You can't win 90% of the really expensive cars, neither by repeating existing events or trhough some challenges.
Want to get a some car to drive for fun online or in practice mode? Go grind oval to the death. It werent like that before GT5.

Sure, i could repeat some early events, because i actually like slower cars more, than LM ones. How many money i'll get? 5k, 10k or maybe whole 15k?
And how should i get those 20m then, re-playing to the same events over 9000 times?

Seeing this many "likes" really makes me question the sanity and intelligence in this world. There isn't a single reason to like this. Give me a reason and I'll tell you why you're wrong. And if it has anything to do with the rarity or value of cars, the fact is that it's too late—tons of people already duped them.
