POLL: Do You Like The <1,000,000 Cr. Gift Restriction?

PD-Y-U-NO-LET-ME-DUPE.jpg

It's a step in the right direction. In the next update PD should restrict all A-Spec races to only be able to be raced once a day so it will stop people from cheating and grinding for money. Then finally the game will be played the way it was meant to be played!! :dopey: These arguments are hilarious!

I think PD just doesn't know how to fix issues in the game without making new ones. Gifting was a decent idea, yes people took advantage of it but I seriously fail to see why it's such a big deal? Before this fix I found plenty of fun online races & never saw any negative effects of the whole duping shenanigans. Where was the problem?

Why would I only drive ovals? I plan on driving the bonus seasonals and redoing the A-spec events I like. What are you talking about? The fastest way to complete the game? Cause that's exactly what I am not talking about.

Maybe I'm the type of person who doesn't enjoy repeating the same events then, and I have just done all of the seasonal events in the past couple of weeks and am already down to 300,000 Cr., so yes, it still requires grinding.

And I'm sure it takes you a lot of races for you to really like to get to the point that you have enough to buy those 1 mill+ Cr. cars.

It's all about marginal costs to marginal benefits, sure its evenish the first few times around, but then it starts requiring that continue doing races that you are getting less and less enjoyment from for the same level of benefit.

Seeing this many "likes" really makes me question the sanity and intelligence in this world. There isn't a single reason to like this. Give me a reason and I'll tell you why you're wrong. And if it has anything to do with the rarity or value of cars, the fact is that it's too late—tons of people already duped them.

The rarity and value argument is a joke, they're cars in a video game, they are worthless.

Plenty of reasons to like it.

I feel better seeing so many likes!

Well then stop playing racing games, at the end all of them are about doing and doing laps in the same loop (s) over and over again 💡

I don't mind it. What I do mind is the 20 million credits cap! I don't want to go back to broke every time I buy those super expensive cars.

The 1 mil cap has received so much limelight does no one else seem to bother the 1 trade/system change? That's the one that's stopped duping, not the 1 mil limit as anyone who dupes already has those cars by now. All it's done is stopped gifting and has made the game a whole lot tougher for the newbies. Well I share my PS3 with my bro and it's just sad that we can't do trades on the same day now plus we can't trade with each other, real nice job PD

It is a bad idea this restriction because you can't trade anymore good cars for good cars (when I say good means expensive too). You have to trade rubbish cars that cost less than a million. They need (they=PD) to put a proper trade feature and an auction to buy some rarities.

Hate everything about the new update!! Right now trying to find address to PD so can mail them my copy of GT5 so they can take the under developed game and donate it to an under developed country and let a third world country enjoy the junk that is GT5!!!!

Yeah It does take a lot of races. It sound's like the complaint here is that farming is a part of the game and that in GT5 there is too much farming to do. So guess what a lot of farming is a part of the game now you have to deal with the fact. It's just like the final boss of ninja gaiden if you didn't powerup enough tough nuts there were shortcuts and ultimately you paid the price if you took them.

Game hard suckas.

Well NASCAR Cars, SuperGT Cars, and exotic cars as the ferrari Italia. Mercedes SLS, Lamborghini Murcielago Super Veloce, Lamborghini Gallardo and a large etc still being under the "trade rules" :sly:

"Bad game design is bad, and now you have to live with it" isn't exactly the most fair thing to expect people to just deal with.

Maybe, if everyone that duped and took advantage of the system didn't do so, this wouldn't have happened. You only have yourselves to blame (cheaters).

Personally not too bothered, don't really trade anyway. This WILL make the "Car Collector" trophy much harder to get though.

Yeah. Check your threads. You were begging for an X2010 last week 👎

This is HORRIBLE. Duping is NOT a problem, and PD could have been working on useful things instead of "fixing" duping.

I predict the value of random tickets will increase sharply in the near future.

Gran Turismo 5: The Real Trading Car Simulator

(Now is more important get a car in a worthless way than actually playing the game:dunce:)

No i'm keeping the game, i love it. and i really like the new update!

just want to help you out and also reduce the number of complaints here.

Are you going to answer the question just above you?
That's what I thought...

"Bad game design is bad, and now you have to live with it" isn't exactly the most fair thing to expect people to just deal with.

People are making a million a day in remote races. Sounds like you gotta easy way to farm from your I-phone now. That is good game design.

You shouldn't need to "farm" the game in the first place, so no it isn't. At best it is band-aid that draws attention away from how deep the problems run.

1.- To get that "trick" You have to unlock enduro races and grinding, at this point every car you have you deserve it. You know I don't have an X1 because I haven't passed the challenge and getting it from a trade it is worthless ( if I can't winning in the track is because I don't have the enough skills yet to driving it!)

2.- Believe me, it's a major effort to take care on those Bob's, you have to literally baby-sitting them until they got level 20 or even more:crazy:

2 points, 1st u get an x1 on lvl 35.
2nd my bob did well from lvl5 give him a goid car, right tires and set the transmission for the track and he wins without babysitting.

i did but rather than double post (as it was posted while i was typing a reply to wolfpack) i was responding by editing it.

That's it? It will save DLC?

Frankly I think the DLC should be free anyway (assuming they are premium cars, how could they not be) since transferring 800 cars from gt4/gtpsp hardly makes up for the 200 premium cars in 6 or whatever years.

But that actually could be a good point which they would have to worry about is no reason to really "like" this change...

What they need to change is to award prize cars every time a championship is won(like every other gt) and let us sell a car regardless of it's value. It's stupid that any car over 500k is suddenly unsellable, what were they thinking?
