It may have been said already, but personally I am grateful PD is not forcing me to cough up several hundred $ to play GT6. 👍
Eyes open, knowing full well that will not be the case for GT7.

Nobody forcing you to buy anything. Its your choice.

I'm stoked GT6 is on its way to PS3.

My faith in Kaz and his vision for the Gran Turismo series has been shaken, and I'd rather risk 40 quid over 300+ to see if things have improved. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of respect for him and his team; it was GT1 after all that lured me away from PC sims - it just looked so gorgeous compared to Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 2 which I played daily. My feelings in 2013 are that Kaz needs a paradigm shift more than new hardware to make a great game.

GT6 will be a good game, if it's a great game then PD's debut on PS4 could be phenomenal.

At the start I was thrilled with it being a PS3 title, now with things like no improvments in damage ,sounds,A.I I'm starting to be let down.

I don't think those problems are a result of the hardware. The same issues plagued the GT series on PS1, PS2 & PS3. What makes you think PD would fix those problems on the PS4?

As for the poll;
If it was on the PS4 I would never get it. Releasing on the PS3 means that I may get it, but it would need to be fundamentally different from GT5 in terms of game-play (in. especially AI & damage physics, qualifyinq etc... etc...)

I loved that game! Myself & 8 friends did 8 full length (including practice & qualifying) seasons on 100% race distance multi-player* over several years.

*For those who don't know, multi-player was time sliced. So the computer would drive your car while another player had his go. Needless to say there were times you got taken out of the race when you had no control over it. We just treated that as mechanical failure, which used to happen a lot more in F1 back in the day

I voted "you bet" for release on PS3.

I've bought the PS3 solely for GT5. It would be a rather expensive game if I would need to buy a new console for the next release.

not just GT5 with a big patch.

Of course, but for me, improvement isn't enough. I'd like PD to go for the best possible sim.

GT6 looks like it will be a great game. Far better than GT5. However I can see it aging rapidly. Still it might be worth it to support PD just because they seem to be making good decisions this time around.

The PS4 is a stronger console but it is also new which means they would need more time to release GT6 in the same state that it will be for the PS3
That's fine. GT6 on PS3 is just going to make me wait for PS4 GT anyway.

Of course if people want it for the PS4 due to the upgraded console why not ask for it for the PC instead. No console touches a good PC. Playstation sales would drop but GT sales would be through the roof
PC is fine with me, my laptop is as strong as PS4.

Happy or unhappy depends on how the PS4 will shape up to be. If it is going to be a mess like Xbox One then i'm happy i will get one last GT game on current generation console. :P

If the GT6 game for PS4 will get more stuff or bigs improvements (excluded graphics, of course), i think the game came out for PS3 it's stupid, but if came with the same things it's a good deal

Pretty meh. At least I won't have to buy a new console to play it... if I actually buy it...

I'm in the same boat. I'm interested to see what Project CARS has to offer, to be honest. GT6 has to greatly improve in several areas over GT5 otherwise it's a no-buy from me.

I like the idea of GT6 being on PS3 since I don't feel like pouring another big bunch of my money into a new console at the moment. Of course, if GT6 was made on the PS4 instead, I would be fine with that, I would just wait a while until I come up with enough money for the console.

Technically I don't care either way, but because I'd also be happy either way, I just had to vote for the first option.

Getting GT6 for PS3 saves a few trouble for me though. If it was a launch title, I'd have to go through the hassle of not only paying hundreds of dollars, but the possibility of difficulty in trying to get the PS4 itself. I know there's no way I'm camping outside of Best Buy. Also, I'm not the most comfortable with launch units since they are the most unreliable units of the bunch. Sure the PS4 may be as reliable as Nintendo, but it would be nice if I can first have an idea of the console's reliability, and by the time I'm done fiddling around with GT6 to death, I could probably get a clue.

Another thing is GT6 as launch would never happen anyway after learning about DriveClub. That means a GT PS4 would have to happen some time later. In the meantime, why not enjoy GT6 on PS3 while we wait for a GT PS4? Kaz did say by the time we feel like we've done everything in GT6, GT PS4 (GT7) may come out naturally. I know Kaz isn't always true to his words, but I also know the PS4 won't have a learning curve that the PS3 forced upon to game developers so it shouldn't be too long after we've enjoyed GT6.

Another minor thing is that a lot of my close friends that play GT5 won't be able to hop into PS4 right away, so that takes away some online time. By the time GT PS4 releases, they will most likely be more prepared to get the PS4 and thus the game as well and I could be playing with them online then.

I agree but I was refering that a next gen GT title would probably need a larger time scale to create leaving PD with more time and a better hardware to fix these issues, some of the more informed members when it comes to the sound department have actually said more RAM would help get better sounds.

Plus the fact that you can't just improve on graphics alone when it comes to a next gen titles you rework almost every single element of your title for the better hence why I wanted GT6 for the PS4,however with Project CARS and Driveclub both will fill that void when or if I buy a PS4
