I think they should have left them o the disc for gt6, Then allow people tp download the standards that they do want, Reason being is because i use photomode a lot and when i do a shoot and find a composition i like its is often ruined by those pesky standards that the A.I often use and also prevent me from zooming in as close as i want,

Other than that its frankly quite embarressing for ps3 game in 2013 to have those cockpits, I might aswell make a cardboard cut out and draw a dashboard on it with a wheel and stick it on my tv screen!, Thats how ridiculous it really is.

Sometimes it feels like kaz is training the fan's to compromise, we had standard cars/tracks in GT5 already kaz. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing the end of SD cars and having to wait for them as DLC as premium cars. The same old demon's are looking to plague GT6 (standard cars, not updating sounds etc) Does consumer demand even mean anything to PD.

While we all ideally want 1200 cars all in glistening premium beauty (:embarrassed:) given the choice of 400-500 premiums only or that number with these 'improved' (tidied up + more customisation options) standards making up the rest I'd have to choose the latter!

A lot of the catalog of historical cars would have just vanished, if they hadn't brought them back as standards. So I'm happy they included them. I also don't use interior view, so I don't have any downside driving them, and during racing it really makes no difference, if the other cars are premium or standard.

It's simple. If you are not enjoying driving them, don't do it.

They could have done some things better though in GT5. I don't like the separation in the garage and the fact that you only get the standards in the UCD or OCD is a nuisance. I'd like to be able to buy those cars at any time in the game. Also the photo-mode and customizing limitations were a drag. It looks though as if they are making all of that a lot better this time around.

If standards were eradicated the only thing i would be gutted about is the fireblade, Love that thing, Hopefully they include a premium version of a newer model

Overall I'm unhappy with standards, but at the same time I wouldn't want them to just chop them away as that would mean a lot of great cars would not be in the game.

Like to see what improvements where done to the models, not really surprised to see them in GT6.

You should have an option for Yes I am unhappy, but I understand why there are standards in GT6.

We all knew there would be. The only way GT6 would not have standards is

A) PD excluded all cars from the game that have not yet been converted to Premium, leaving us with only 400 cars or so.

B) Released the game only when all cars have been converted to premium, which would be in 2020.

Yes I am unhappy that all cars aren't premium, but I understand why.

...Also I am guessing it means no bodykits for standards, just the same wings which look awful on many cars. Also obviously they look inferior to premiums, which is very visually jarring. Not happy.
The point about the GT6 modernised premiums was that they could have all of the customisation mods that premiums would - and as to the inferior appearance by comparison, no one knows the level of visual difference yet.

...i use photomode a lot and when i do a shoot and find a composition i like its is often ruined by those pesky standards that the A.I often use and also prevent me from zooming in as close as i want...
With photo mode being promised for all cars in GT6, wouldn't that imply that the distance limiter on the camera will be lifted? It's one of the attractions for me, as I take a fair few photos myself. Sure, Photo Travel will be sweet but the meat of the photography would be the action shots from races.

I actually voted 'don't mind' even though I'm happy to have them in the game. Too many good cars would go away without them. I remember all of the complaints about various cars left out of GT5 from the previous games. Just think what it would be like if the non-full premiums were all removed.

It was a good idea of Lancia's though to have the whole lot as a cheap DLC pack.

I don't think so, it's just saying they'll be in photo travel as well as the on track photo mode.

Not happy. PD needs to outsource. GT6 will be released around the time PS4 comes out and we're still getting cars from PS2. Kaz needs to get his **** together, its starting to look like a joke. Long development time and nothing spectacular to show for it. And I was a supporter for standards in GT5 but enough is enough.

Standard cars in general are acceptable...I suppose...as long as they're not too ugly. What does bother me is that there are all kinds of awesome cars that are standards, while at the same time you've got this absolute junk as premiums, like the Nissan Leaf, '66 VW Beetle, '68 Fiat 500, Honda Insight LS etc.

So no I don't find this satisfactory.

Come on now the Beetle is cool and a classic. One of my first cars was an old VW Beetle and I loved it.

I am amazed that there is a fully modeled Prius in this game, but a Veyron that looks even worse than it does in real life.

Although I am looking forward to a premium Daihatsu Midget II.

I'm not happy to see them again but recognize the fact that removing them would be just as bad, if not worse.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I don't care about standard cars. As long as I have something to race with or cruise in, I'm not bothered.

Not bothered. As long as they've been improved and as long as I can take decent pictures of them, which sounds like it's happening, them I'm not too bothered. But I don't REALLY want them, or REALLY want rid of them.

Beetle and Fiat 500 are junk? Wow.👎

I never did quite understand why somebody wouldn't want extra cars in the game, even if they are of a lower graphical quality.

I mean, think about the interesting cars that you can get in standard form, the Isuzu Piazza, the Mercury Cougar, the NOMAD Diablo. Sure, they don't look that nice, but the fact is, they are there, and they can be fun to drive and have in the game despite the graphics.

If you don't like them, ignore them. I mean, its not like they do more bad than good...

I'm going to wait to vote on this poll until there's more information about the new GT6 "unPremium" cars. Right now it seems that a lot of people are assuming they will be the same as the "Standard" cars in GT5 that are plagued with jagged edges, low res textures and other graphical issues.

We all know they're not going to be full premium quality, fully laser scanned (or whatever they do) or anything like that but I also don't think PD is going to simply import the same low quality GT4 models and call it done.

The fact that we're getting "unPremium" cars in GT6 doesn't bother me at this point but I also see no value in arbitrarily dismissing them, if they really do turn out to be "that bad" I've got no problem condemning their inclusion. But for all we know right now these "unPremiums' could be getting a halfway acceptable visual upgrade (3D model tweak, better textures, etc) over the "standards" of GT5 in order for the them to function correctly with other features of GT6.

I'm happy with their decision to keep standard cars in. It's already been confirmed that they are updating them and I don't use the cockpit view most of the time anyway. In GT5 I used both S and P cars all the time and never really cared.

We'll se how much they will improve them. Don't expect too much.
I only hope they have ''premiumized'' at least the most used standard cars.

I consider standarts to be the biggest mistake PD have ever made. While PD have some little time before the release, they would be very kind if they add a checkbox allowing players to disable standarts from all over the game and filters for online races allowing not to encounter players driving standarts. And having the same checkbox for visual car damage would be great too.

Uhm i was thinking... how do you think we'll buy them this time? I'm not a big fan of the random selection in the used dealership. Apart from the estetical deal this was the biggest one imo.

Standard cars was one of the biggest problems with GT5. Why does PD insist on repeating their biggest mistake ever with their new game? The way I see it, if you can't make every car have the same quality, don't even bother putting those cars in. 800 standard cars and 200 premiums? That is pathetic. Transferring GT4 models over to GT5 comes off as lazy and PD trying to cut corners to make their game seem "better" when it is nowhere close to other sim games. I don't know of any other company out there that puts half-assed cars into their games.

The PS3 cant handle 900+ highly detailed premium cars. Keep your rocket in your pants wait tell PD releases GT7 or GT6.5 or whatever on the PS4. Jeez you people need to understand that PD has used the limit of the PS3s capabilities.
