It's been a while since I visited my friend @praiano63 garage and I see that it's becoming a big mess!!!! This is a discussion thread about cars and not about the choice @praiano63 made to charge for his work. I am an old tuner (GT6, GTS and GT7) under the name Jeje6410 GT Tune Garage which I would find on this site. And this is really very time-consuming and tiring work. You can't imagine how much time it can take to make cars easy to drive for as many of you as possible. And you can't imagine the joy it brings when we get positive feedback on our work.
Now that my friend charges a subscription for you to enjoy his cars, that's his problem. Personally I would never have done it, but there comes a point when you have so many requests for cars that you spend your time doing just that, to satisfy everyone. So it's normal on his part. And I think a lot of people here would have done the same thing. Don't tell me no one would have done it.
Now if you want to discuss this, open another thread and stop spamming this thread. GT-Planet will not prohibit you from opening a discussion thread on this subject (that's the good thing about this site, is that you can talk about whatever you want (well, almost))
It's okay to give your opinion but please not here. You can't imagine what Praiano63 has done for the GT series so that you can play and have fun. Personally he gave me a lot of advice when I opened my garage on GT6 in December 2015. And I am grateful to him because thanks to him I continued on GT Sport and GT7. And he didn't have to do it but he did it with pleasure like when he makes cars for you.
So leave him alone if you want him to continue to please you. Those who are not happy, look elsewhere Thank you.

I really don’t understand how some people spend so much time in a place he's considering so bad for him, posting scatological emojis in my thread every day. If this individual is dealing with something, it’s definitely not just a matter of diarrhea.

Agreed. But Jeje, you have the hottest mechanics in your employ, to be sure. Seriously, do you think your own son and other members didn't do the same thing in my last reply? You're fixating on a detail without seeing the bigger picture and according to a very French expression "it's the tree that hides the forest" and for my part it's a lack of objectivity.
Your speech has changed a lot in your first message that you have largely modified. It would have been smarter to prepare your transition smoothly on your site and not switch overnight without any announcement. I mentioned that I didn't appreciate it and I maintain that the financial cost does not come down to just $5 per month. In Europe it's €5 plus €1 VAT, for a total of €6. And no, not everyone can spend this amount every month and yet you are very well placed to know it.
Just before your switch I was about to make a donation to your Paypal account from your first message, but something was holding me back, bothering me. You haven't offered any settings for a while and I found that strange. At the time, if I had made a donation, I would have been like an idiot by going to your Patreon site, because I would never have been able to access the new features!
So I have the right to express myself and unlike many other members, I never indulge in vulgarity and never click on an emoji that is not very cool, never. What bothers me is that your Paypal link in your first message is no longer there, it is not right. A member is not going to pay twice for your settings, because now in GTplanet you hardly put anything interesting! Your notoriety and the traffic rate of your message in GTplanet must have dropped by 95%.
A member pointed out to me that I write a lot, he is right and for good reason. I also had a stroke and I am afflicted with Broca's type aphasia. In my misfortune, comprehension is intact and in the absence of being able to make myself understood correctly by speaking, I compensate by writing. To conclude, no one is responsible if Sony, Logitech and Fanatec never wanted to do something for you.

Listen, that doesn’t matter…. It is what it is with change. Life has change. Given your situation one may think you would have compassion for PRAIANO and his son. Use your comprehension to start your own Patreon then you can afford the extra vat. Explore something you are passionate about, you write very well. The world will always continue to change, I hope you find what you’re looking for.

Hi Praiano! Thanks a lot for all your work!! And specially you setup of the legendary 917K!! Finally drivable to me ^^. The just little frustation is that your can't change the type of class car for Le Mans money event. It's really to easy to beat all thoses GT4 cars with this Monster even dowgraded to 700PP!!!

not a regular poster but just dropping in to say anyone crying about the Patreon thing is being ridiculous.
If any of you are old enough to remember before the internet you will remember game guides, they probably still make them but rarely.
@praiano63 is putting in a ton of time tuning these and if you read through the whole thread he has made it clear his situation economically isn't fantastic.
From what I read he has been making these tunes for several GT generations just cause he's a good guy.
The thing I'm shocked about is that it took this long to monetize it, anyone at all no matter their situation would do the same with the following he has.
All YouTubers, TikTok etc. Creators don't charge, well they do a lot of the time(Patreon also) because you are the product. For praiano this was completely good will the only beneficiary is the owners of the forum as his traffic drove up their metrics allowing them higher ad revenue.
He's not a politician or some sort of elected official who was voted into an office, just a good dude doing something that benefits others.
TLDR: stop whinging and appreciate the free tunea he does still release. If it's not enough then boo hoo.

I'm been away from GT7 for a bit. I understand in update 1.49 the physics changed. I also see most of the new tunes are on Patreon & I'm cool with that.
I noticed a lot of the old tunes still work just fine, but the old tune for the Jaguar XJR-9 '88 does not. It's very spin happy in corners.
Around 3 weeks ago, I was doing a Weekly Challenge at Circuit de la Sarthe (24 hour Le Mans) with the Jaguar XJR-9 '88. Yes the car with very unstable in the corners, but I had another issue that was really weird.
In the high speed straights my Thrustmaster T-GT2 wheel would freak out. Massive vibrations, to the point of making it undrivable. I had to turn down both Steering Force Feedback settings from the default settings. Anyone know why the game would behave like this in the high speed straights?
I went back to do the Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo '91 SWAP (1.50) and had something like 696.70 (down from 699.94) due to 1.52. I would imagine a lot of cars need to be adjusted if they're at the limit. Not as glaring as the 1.49 update though.
I do find it useful to include the version number from Praiano's tunes so if I go back to use an older car I can see when the tune was made.

Only a very small change . Some few 4WD mostly was losing the rear when release the brake entering a corner. Because of this i was using a very strong level ofinicial and decell differential to compense. Now , you still can feel this behavior but just a few. It's possible to reduce this number to half. For the Impreza rally car '98 , i was using front 45/20/40 rear 45/20/40. Now you can set 35/20/25 both end. But it' still ok with old numbers , it just don't need to be too tight.
The car have a normal body , no Wide one . with 657HP after update.

For me it's ok. Did you set the Top Speed auto at 450kmh = 280 mph first ?
Hey mr praiano, quick question: So i've been seeing some testing on different wheels. Size, rims wide v normal, offset wide v normal.
I keep seeing that the only real difference is a small PP gain from going up in wheel size, but rim width? No difference. Offset? No difference. In PP or in real life performance in the testing i've seen and what testing i've done anyway.
Also, the really curious one: WIDE BODY. Why? Seems every car you build you have wide body on. Wide body increases drag so decreases top speed but just barely.
Is this indeed just cosmetic or do you know something that no one else knows?

When you install the wide body option only , it's a lost of PP due to increase aerodynamic coefficient (Cx) of the vehicle ... i suppose.
Offset add more grip because the larger width of the car allow more weight transfer on the side = + rotational G (Grip)... i suppose.
Wide rims don't seems to do a lot of things.
Rims size and height of the tire give differents results. Sometime a low tires give more PP , sometime the higher tire with small rim give more PP......
