Just like 2 weeks ago the post saying " more car reveals in the coming week :)" ...and nothing came. We have seen like what 2 new cars in the last 3 weeks and one of them we already knew about which was the M6 gt3 ( not counting the European special car packs) some of those guys either need to not post or stick to their posts.
So how many cars does more "more" mean in your mind?

They made it seem like we would have a decent amount of reveals like more then 2 especially since we've seen one of the two a whole week prior. It's not a big deal just saying they shouldn't mislead with their posts. Carry on...

It's called marketing and hype and nothing they have said is a lie, everybody likes to read more into than there is.

Exactly. They said reveals, we had 8 cars revealed on Thursday and Ferrari GT3 officially announced when the covers were released. I'd count that as 9 car reveals this week officially.

Yes. 8 of those 9 aren't part of the 180, however. We're still waiting on a list of GT3 cars, no?

I know on both points but they're still car reveals nonetheless. However, i'm a bit surprised although it might just be a change of plan. We don't know the inside of Bandai/PC's marketing.

Matter of fact isn't those "8" part of the European ONLY japanese and motorsports car packs?...or am I missing a whole set of 8 cars that was revealed as I'm human and make mistakes

I've been out of the loop for awhile now, but didn't read anything about karts coming back in PC2. I know they weren't great in the first one. Were they cut from the second?

DLC = Downloadable Content in addition to base game. Doesn't matter whether it's traditional buy on store DLC or whatever. It's still DLC.
I know what DLC stands for:banghead: Not sure if you are being funny or not, but IMO as I refer to DLC is that it's available to everyone and pre-order specials are different. Games are DL but are not called DLC's so lets try that again.

It is. We speculated it for a while and it's confirmed (unofficially) to be in.
There is no speculation. The Ford GT GTE/GTLM in Chip Ganassi Racing colours is already confirmed. It was done so in the initial launch trailer already. The road version was also confirmed at that time in writing (although we haven't seen any images yet).

Was it a DLC or a pre-order special? I know one was the season pass special.

Japanese car pack has been confirmed as being availabel as a pre-order "bonus" globally. Check the Bandi Namco website for confirmation on that....

As for the Motorsports pack, that was confirmed via Twitter as being available later as a "pay for" DLC.

Really? Don't remember seeing that. If it was, it wouldn't have been hyperlinked.

Hopefully!

In Project Cars 1 SMS made the Group A cars competitive with each other whereas in reality they weren't - The Sierra was more powerful and faster than the BMW and competed in a different class within Group A - the BTCC at that time was split into 4 classes based on engine capacity with the Sierra in the top class due to a multiplication factor applied to non-naturally aspirated engines.

The Skyline was competitive in Australia with the Sierra under different rules than those used in BTCC.

Hopefully SMS have again twisted reality slightly and made the BMW (E30) M3 competitive with the Sierra. Also I hope the Group A R32 Skyline and the V8 DTM Audi run at the same pace as the Sierra.

I also hope that the Mercedes 190E Cosworth (from PC1) returns to battle with these cars, but I notice that it is not currently listed in the car list. Is there any news on this car? @jake2013guy and others?
thanks for clarifying this.

I don't think this has been posted. It says it contains the base game plus the Japanese car pack (Day One Edition). Assuming you can buy the season pass ahead of time, which is suppose to grant instant access to the Motorsport pack, this seems like the best way to get the car packs without anything extra. If a complete edition doesn't come out between now and release.

That why I accept it, but I don't like it and refuse to drive on any view besides cockpit. Never raced in a pc league in a more serious way without the views being locked as far as I remember

But one can also argue, why playing a sim with a pad and chase cam? Sims are not sims just because physics in my opinion. This is a discussion that will never get anywhere and it's not even a matter of agreeing to disagree.

There is a wide range of audience with different views. iRacing doesn't face that problem as it targets a very specific audience which are not casual players and do take sims (sometimes too much) seriously.

Hey, at least here people are sensible enough so we can discuss this without a fuss. Major kudos to all :)

So because i prefer to use chase cam (although i also dabble in cockpit view depending on track) i shouldn't be playing a sim racer?

So, I get using game pad because a person doesn't have space for a wheel, or because of a disability (both apply to me) but chase cam I can't understand. The chase cam kind of ruins immersion. I mean, why have cockpit cam if you're not going to use it? I think it's the minimum requirement for playing a sim, use cockpit or helmet cam.

I just had a run in the rising Sun 6 hours at Sakkito I a RWD LMP1 - ohh my hope PC2 will feature a better 'getting lapped' feature by the AI. having to RACE LMP2 cars in the twisty section is quite annoying - I'm sure my neighbours appreciate the verbal soundtrack I added to the engine sounds :scared:

As has been pointed out: choices.

With varying field of vision in many cars, Chase cam works for those people that need to see more field of well, the field.
If everyone bought a big enough curved TV and sat in front of it like in a real car, it could solve this(I guess VR has addressed the immersion as best as possible).

I choose in car cam, but I have tried chase cam. Not my cup of tea, but it's a view that works for many players. If a certain view is forced in an online room, that's a choice. Nothing wrong with choices. One person's personal choice on how to play a game in their home, shouldn't affect another person's choice on how to play a game, in their own home.

Personally I use chase cam because I play on a single monitor. I have tried other views and I simply can't see enough to keep from hitting other people.

A few questions that your post brings up right away.

1) Are you using CrewChief?
2) How large is your TV?
3) How far away are you sitting from it?

Why have 2 different views? why not force one on everyone and what would you say if your choice of driving view wasn't the chosen one? The whining and crying from you probably would be loud and clear
