I had an amazing time yesterday racing with the Mercedes AMG GTR ( the green one) on the A1 Red Bull ring. That patch is a miracle . I'm surprised by how the braking system is different between 2.00 and 1.03. Right now I'm breaking 100% no matter what when in the past I had to be extra subtle to not block the tires, this is the most important change with the patch. With the Ferrari 330 P4 it also works, you can now brake 100% without crashing, that was absolutely impossible before (no matter what setup you had). The 1.03 version was really not drivable.

Well done SMS

Yeah i really enjoyed the few hours i had with the game last night.

Had it on the C9 as well. Also the game seems to think that May is in Winter and October in summer right now. But the temperatures were correct, just the season names were wrong.

What track was that? If Bathurst then in Australia the seasons are the other way around and the game represents that.

I am happy with the additions they have added, but have missed some things.

  • UDP - Excellent, my tablet now works!
  • USB - My button box works!
  • Menu Speed - Much improved Thanks
  • Other features/improvements previously mentioned by others
Here are the couple of things I can't get my head around......

  • Ability to get to lobby and see number of laps after joining room - Fixed Great............BUT.....As soon as you go to track, you are no longer able to invite friends nor access lobby to check settings????
  • Why does saving setup over existing not work? I have to save to a new one each time, which is highly annoying!
Are these the same for everyone?

Otherwise, patch has improved greatly. Looking forward to the next one and discovering new features of this one.

In summary, much much happier, why these things were overlooked at the start I will never know? There are still the bits missing I have mentioned, but once they are sorted, I will be quite content I think.

Really having a blast with these settings on a controller (on PS4 that is), no more floaty twitchy feeling ..

Steering Deadzone: 0
Steering Sensitivity: 10
Throttle Deadzone: 0
Throttle Sensitivity: 30
Brake Deadzone: 0
Brake Sensitivity: 75
Clutch Deadzone: 0
Clutch Sensitivity: 25
Speed Sensitivity: 95
Damper Saturation: 100
Controller Damping: 100
Controller Vibration: 75
Minimum Shift Time: 0

Whether you choose to use authentic assists or not is up to you but personally found the cars really manageable with settings set to authentic, only spun out if I pushed way too hard.

Hope this helps
Hey, thanks for this! I have managed to tweak my controller settings to a point where I am really really happy with them now, but your post is much appreciated.

Then we have very different opinions. Strange cause It should be a fact: tyres heat up or don't.

I'll try it again tonight and come back with the results.

As far as I am concerned I use the PS4 gamepad , using the sensitivity settings I put before the 2.00 patch. I tried Formula C yesterday in both Brno and Brands Hatch, because it's really where I struggled (downhill turns were extremely hard prior to 2.00) and restarted countless numbers of races. Yesterday it was all smooth and natural, like a proper open wheel it behaves perfectly and it sticks to the pavement in corners.

Have tried the XJ220 on Snetterton just for fun, I was also able to keep it on the track, which would have been a performance before the patch on such a track

I hasn't tried yet cause i'm still in Ginetta junior which however improved ad now tyres heat up. On the official forum there are guys saying FC is still bugged with tyres not heating and others saying It is now working. Let's see, if tyres turn light Green we have the answer.

I managed to win the championship of Ginetta Junior and finished 2nd in the crazy event prior to the patch you can trust me lol

Same, I can't wait to get home after work to resume the FC championship. I might reset my career too, I have something like 100 starts and 20 finished races , it's quite a terrible ratio.

The outcome of the updated tires/physics/controls on some of the cars I've tried so far is nothing short of phenomenal. :D The GT86 was a bit of a letdown before; now it drifts like it should, and it's going to accumulate a TON of mileage on my profile. The E30 M3 is way more confident than it was before, as with other cars on that Slicks tire model (go try the Clio Cup!). Almost everything I tried last night was lovely to drive, and I have a lot more to revisit out of what I sampled in 1.03.

The only exception was the Rocket Bunny GT86, which has seemed messed up from day one, in the same manner as PCARS1. It's as if the front wheels yank the car around; on my new DS4 settings the effect is violent and impossible to handle. I had been waiting to see if 2.00 would fix it. Does anyone know if it's a known issue?

I think the Rocket Bunny GT86 is just a crappy car in real life too and is really just a full sized toy. That thing is just silly for the sake of silly. Now a real GT4 spec GT86.... yummy....

But i play PC2 and my settings are PC1 and second option 1
Should i change to PC2 and second option 5?

With the UDP settings the PC1 option is so you can send it to an app you used for PC1 that hasn't been updated for PC2. If you have an older app, set those to PC1. The frequency option is how frequently it sends data to the device. The higher the number the quicker the app refreshes, so if you have it on 1 it will only refresh about once a second which is not ideal. I have mine set on 9, seems to work fine and has no lag.

CrewChief will probably use PC1. I don't remember seeing it update in the last few weeks. People always said to set UDP to 5 but I never knew what it did. Now I know and will try it at 9
