We've not heard anything about a V8 Supercar series license, so no...Wasn't the V8 Supercar series confirmed as DLC?
This isn't GT or Forza with a $100Million budget. Try 1/16th of that. You have to be very discerning when you're putting together a car list on a small budget and likely the licensing of those two series made it cost prohibitive to get involved. With any luck the game takes off and we see a good expansion of the car list for Project Cars 2 (December 2016 FTW!)
Well it adds American motorsports to the game...how is that car "lame"?You are correct that it didn't have the huge budget. Still doesn't make me wrong in that the lame stock car shouldn't have even been in consideration. Looking forward to the career mode most of all. About time someone finally set that up right.
Oh, okay. But some cars similar to them are supposed to come, right? Can't remember where I read that. We've not heard anything about a V8 Supercar series license, so no...
too much whining, if there are few categories 'why are there so few categories'; if there are a lot 'why they putted this that I'll never use'... come on guys it simple, if you don't like it don't use it... nobody is forcing you to do so unless you are the kind of people who only play for the achievements... don't take the fun out of a game only for a few things you don't like... at least try it before making a judgment
what? I was talking about the general whining all over GTplanet, every time a new feature is added tons of people complain why not this other feature and the same with cars and all that... there is no such thing as a product that will fit everyone for what each one wants... so instead of just whine around the same game or whatever they should spend some time looking for alternatives and not just sit waiting for miracles.I believe you are speaking of my input. Not whining. Just stating a fact that American stock car is lame, and as far as I am concerned I wish they could have done JGTC or Australian series. I also stated that I am really looking forward to this game anyway. Sorry to have been so insensitive and hurt your feelings about it so much.
yeah you are right, I haven't seen it like that, I was thinking more about the kind of people who aren't happy with anything the game or whatever has to offer, it happened to me with need for Speed and as soon as I started to dislike their games I stop purchasing.I apologize for that then, but the fact is you obviously get upset about it, because you posted a comment whining about people who simply state what they would have rather seen. I just figured it was directed towards me, because mine was pretty much the newest comment of what I would have rather seen instead of a generic version of stock cars. People pay their money for these games, they have every right to critic them any way they see fit. No matter how they state their feelings though, there are always people like you that go into the 'stop whining and just play the game or go somewhere else' crowd. You are well within your rights to do so. So by all means continue if it makes you happy. Just don't get all upset if someone has something to say when you post comments calling everyone who has a wish list or a would like to have seen moment as whiners.
Over 100 different cars with seemingly limitless livery options and possibilities is a wet dream for a racing game.
They complained because fm4 had 600, which represents a big decrease. It would be the same as people complaining that a theoretical pcars2 had less cars than the first one. What's funny about this is people complained that Forza Motorsport 5 "only" had 200 cars (before DLC) and that wasn't good enough so they were going to go play such-and-such other racing game instead, even though the other guys had maybe fifty or so cars. FM5 had enough cars before DLC to flesh out four typical console racing games but yet it wasn't enough content. I would imagine that many of the folks complaining about FM5's 200 cars would be singing praises if a non-Forza game had half that many. FM5 had 200 cars prior to DLC content and seemingly limitless livery options but that wasn't satisfactory for the people longing for something to cry about.
The problem I saw in FM5's car selection was that a good number of cars I liked in FM4 weren't in FM5, and some cars I had in FM4 were added as paid DLC in FM5.What's funny about this is people complained that Forza Motorsport 5 "only" had 200 cars (before DLC) and that wasn't good enough so they were going to go play such-and-such other racing game instead, even though the other guys had maybe fifty or so cars. As much as I love forza, I don't think bringing all the cars onto next Gen is as hard as they were saying. I also don't think all of the fm5 models are as super duper brand new as they are saying. But I'm hoping we will start to see less and less of this leaving out cars business. I will say now if there is a pcars sequel, I want to see all the cars from the first return, without additional charge.I never had an issue with the number of cars in FM5, but I thought it was absurd how, apparently, none of the cars made for FM4 and FH1 were modelled to a "master copy" level of quality that could be downscaled in the XB360 games and set aside for FM5. Especially the FH1 newcomers and the DLC cars produced during FM5's development.
I also think porting over the FM4/FH1 cars, adding a handful of new cars, and spending the rest of that time on other things would have made for a better game, but I'm one of those heathens who thinks the Standard cars in Gran Turismo look good enough.
For my preferences, there should be equity between cars, tracks and Events, Races and Series to utilize them all. What's funny about this is people complained that Forza Motorsport 5 "only" had 200 cars (before DLC) and that wasn't good enough so they were going to go play such-and-such other racing game instead, even though the other guys had maybe fifty or so cars. One would think PCars, Forza, GT are at the point where all the modeling is future proof from here forward. However, licenses are not in perpetuity one would assume, so if for some reason they don't want or can't get a manufacturer on board in the future, it's reasonable to see their cars fall by the wayside. As much as I love forza, I don't think bringing all the cars onto next Gen is as hard as they were saying. I hope that the inevitable Nissan licence has the new LMP1 car included, its a good example of what race car designers come up with when they are extremely high on drugs.
