We're most likely getting the Nissan license at some point so JGTC has hope. It's difficult as PD and Gran Turismo have the SuperGT licensing. It would be nice to have the jgtc in maybe as download content in the future and hopefully Nissan and others. But if not I'm more than happy with what I see so far . This is probably last chance saloon for me and consoles as if this game doesn't cut it ( and I really hope it does ) I'm ditching the ps4 and xbone for a decent PC
Please tell me that there is absolutely no drifting events in PC, personally I hate drifting events (sorry for being arrogant). This is a circuit racing game not a drifting game.
There are no drifting events. All career races are strictly circuit racing. Please tell me that there is absolutely no drifting events in PC, personally I hate drifting events (sorry for being arrogant).
SMS was working with a very limited budget and it just wasn't possible this time around to get every kind of car they wanted into the game. It is what it is as they say, and if it's a huge deal to have JDM cars this probably isn't the game for you. Maybe next time:tup:👍I cannot believe you spent all this time making a racing game with little or no JDM cars in it.. what a shame, myself and many others will simply not buy a game that doesn't cater to the land of the rising sun.. WTF! come on guys this is a joke.
I'm liking the car list so far but I think it would be awesome if SMS added some Super GT cars & tracks. We're most likely getting the Nissan license at some point so JGTC has hope. It's difficult as PD and Gran Turismo have the SuperGT licensing.
There's a slight (very slight) chance...and if not blame Kaz and his lackeys at PD for lack of the cars.I'm liking the car list so far but I think it would be awesome if SMS added some Super GT cars & tracks.
I kind of look at AC and PCars as the GT and Forza of sim racing. AC brings wide open modding to the table and so any car is possible and at this point anyway, the game is more about hotlapping than it is racing. PCars brings organized sim racing, offline and online to the table but without the modding and wide open nature of AC. I can easily see myself splitting time between the two games for the next year or two for different purposes and enjoying the best attributes of both sims. AC already has 50 DLC cars planned and I imagine we'll get plenty from PCars as well. That would make over 200 between the 2 not counting AC mods, more than enough for me.
Ooh! Please tell me how the yellow bird, 90 imsa, clk lm, and f1 gtr are coming onAnd the Lola Aston is coming along nicely - basic model work is done. And no, we cant share pics.
Good enough for meFine. Just fine.
OK. Thanks for the reply. 👍Oh my. DTM is appartenly very hard to negotiate licenses with, so thats the answer to all of your questions regarding that topic. There will be cars from other series, BTCC for example. Also there will surely be more licenses acquired after release. And the Lola Aston is coming along nicely - basic model work is done. By the number of manufacturers for each country? I guess so. I don't think Bizarre Creations/Playground Games ever hid their British bias.Just realised pcars has probably the first British biased car list ever
The list shows how many different track cars the uk actually makes (a lot, it turns out)By the number of manufacturers for each country? I guess so. I don't think Bizarre Creations/Playground Games ever hid their British bias.
Please...
Kidnapp him and his cameraI think that guy is doing that for R3E's BTCC package.
At least I don't recognize him as one of the devs of Slightly Mad Studios.
It's not started yet, so no, we'll have to wait for that.A question for the WMD members : is the 2012 Renault Megane Trophy II gonna be ready on release ?
What I like about this is the foundational aspect. Create an excellent racing game first. Hone in on that to as near perfection as possible, then expand as time goes. The car list makes it very clear that pCARS is a proper racing sim.
The main attraction will be the GT, prototype and open wheel cars (both vintage and modern), although they have a decent list of trackday specials too. Those looking for a road car collecting/tuning/tweaking game should stick to GT/Forza. But we all know that race cars and variety of real race tracks are the weakest area in both GT and Forza so pCARS will happily fill that gap.
I'll also say that development time and pro driver feedback has clearly gone more into making the race car experience as realistic as possible. The road cars aren't bad, but the level of polish and finesse in the race cars is at a higher level for me. Basically the hugely complex tyre model development focus was on GT and open wheel slicks for much of the development process. Yes they are tweaking and polishing the road cars, but I expect race cars to remain the more convincing side of pCARS even after launch.
But imagine a console sim with decent competitive AI, very good race car physics and FFB, much bigger fields than the 8-16 of the past, and a large selection of real race tracks. That's what pCARS brings to the table.
