Id rather 3 cars of a category that are made to drive properly then the entire history of a category that font drive or sound right at all,

I do know that, but they've already done it,as I said with the two fictional rufs imitating what would really be the porsche 997 cup and porsche 991 cup:It doesn't work like that. RUF is a certified manufacturer, not a made-up make created solely for rebranding Porsches for racing games...
so am I.Well, I ve been at the 2014 race myself and there is a group of 20 WMD members going to this years race as well and I m one of them. I kinda realized while being at the track that there were other cars competing there in LMP1 than the fictional LMP1s in pcars... Thank you, Dr. Obvious, I guess.
I thought you complained about only having 3 LMP1s (so quantity), if you complained about the fact that pcars wont have all 3 real 2014 LMP1s, then alright. Budget, manpower, licensing issues, real world troubles. *shrugs*
2013 RUF CTR3
2014 RUF RGT-8
These models are actually existing, official RUF Models. The modification to make a GT3/GT1+ version off them is endorsed by RUF. On the other hand, there is no RUF model based on the 918, so they can't make something up out of thin air. RUF basically has no right yet to do anything based on the 918.
it's the 919 I would have wanted, but anyway.. whether it's the 918 and 919,they can't do it as you say..These models are actually existing, official RUF Models. How can you say that when you do not know a thing about the prototype, apart from it's appearance?(And the RWD P30 is far more interesting and appealing than the TS040 and even the 919, IMO)
Cool, really old Jag then. Jaguar make some impressive racing cars, hopefully they return, maybe with an XJR-15/16 or something like that and challenge Porsche & Toyota at LMP1, they could run F-Type's for the GTE class.
If TATA Motors said no to the Jaguar F-Type GT3 project...I highly doubt they'll give the green light on an LMP1 attempt. At least we're getting Ford at Le Mans with a GT-GTE next year. There's already been thoughts on their return to le mans, and I agree.
A great artist called horst brozy has drawn his version of the jaguar "lmp1-14 hybrid"

the same goes for ford and ferrari

I think they look geat,he's done a good job.
Yes well these are just the artist's point of view but you never know where the manufacturers could get their inspiration from ^^If TATA Motors said no to the Jaguar F-Type GT3 project...I highly doubt they'll give the green light on an LMP1 attempt. Hey his sketch is better than that "artist" who made that sci-fi looking Jag LMP1 that was twice the size of the pitbox. Hopefully TATA warms up to at least the GT3 car.Yes well these are just the artist's point of view but you never know where the manufacturers could get their inspiration from ^^
always got to hope for the best
He has sketched them very well none the less
haven't seen thatHey his sketch is better than that "artist" who made that sci-fi looking Jag LMP1 that was twice the size of the pitbox. Hopefully TATA warms up to at least the GT3 car.
I think it would just be paddle on the left for down and right for up like the rest of the paddle shift cars although I am not sure as I haven't played the game. I don't think they are going down to THAT level of detail. One other thing.. and now i'm being picky but it's not a big issue at all,in fact it doesn't even matter if it's not in the game at all..
As stated in the list, there are going to be both the radical sr3 and sr8 which by it's self I find great.
However,as you may know, they both utilise either one hayabusa superbike engine (sr3) or two together creating instead a more powerful v8. Therefore they both have 6-speed sequential gearboxes that you would find on motorbikes. And for those who don't know, you shift down a gear to get 1st and then continuously shift up for 2nd,3rd,4th and so on..
so on the radical's wheel, you'll have the paddles to change gear (or the sequential gear lever for earlier models). You would have to select the paddle on the left side to get 1st and then the right for the other gears.
My question being, does anyone know if this is applied in project C.A.R.S to these two amazing prototypes?
I obviously wouldn't mind at all if it's not as it's a very small detail to the game
hats off to them if they have though
How can you say that when you do not know a thing about the prototype, apart from it's appearance?
Give your reasons but there's not much to be said about it.. it looks like an lmp1. I think that's it really.. (for now)
Smaller prototypes means a lighter and much nimbler car,in which case is much better for racing for obvious reasons.Well, I'm taking into account the 2014 cars only.
Those new LMP1s are so small and, to me, they are hideous. Besides, I don't like Toyotas in general and the tiny V4 Porsche is a disgreace when compared to the flat six in the P30. It's just that, preferences. Don't look too much into it because there are no scientific reason.
The ficticious LMPs on pCARS are big, shouty and I like them. And I know a lot about those amazing concepts because they were created with engines, hybrid systems and everything in mind, look it up. The P30, for instance, have a pneumatic system to generate eletricity and I think that is amazing. Couple years ago, ACO prohibited Audi to use something like that.
It's like those guys who fight each other to determine which one is worse: GT or Forza?
And you're probably right,it would just be a cool featureI think it would just be paddle on the left for down and right for up like the rest of the paddle shift cars although I am not sure as I haven't played the game. I don't think they are going down to THAT level of detail.
@Kangoojoe In the future remember to use the edit button when you want to reply to more than one person after your initial post.
Use the "quote" feature at the bottom right of every post to respond to multiple people in a single post instead of double and triple posting which is frowned upon. And you're probably right,it would just be a cool feature
but now one will really care if it's not in the game anyway (including me). I just want to know how much attention to detail they have
Well if you read properly, the quote that you put in the message was me talking about a feature that they might or might not have put on two of the cars that are definitely in the game:Use the "quote" feature at the bottom right of every post to respond to multiple people in a single post instead of double and triple posting which is frowned upon.
Also, this thread is for talking about the cars that are actually in the game, if you want to talk about what you wish for in the game, the GTP wishlist thread is the thread for that:

pay closer attention next time

n the other hand,I think that the ts040 and 919 (as well as the r18,rebellion and so on) do look great, they're proper racing prototypes but that's my personal opinion, and every one thinks differently (which is definitely a good thin).
So they could do the same for the 919,they would just have to change certain things
Maybe not,but they could have added more than three (p1-p2)
and for the other comment,as they've done with the 997 and 991 road cars and cup cars, just make the 919 but stick ruf on there instead,
You're right, these are more relevant.Audi (r18 e-tron quattro),Toyota (ts040),Porsche (919) and Rebellion (R-One) raced in the 2014 edition of le mans,not Audi, an RWD P30 and a Marek RP339H
second of all, they could have added more earlier prototypes like the legendary Peugeot 908 or Pescarolo c60 courage (among others) as well as Rebellion and lotus.
There are many group c's they could have added as well.. Mazda 787b,Jaguar XJR-9,Nissan R90 C,Porsche 956-962,Peugeot 905... as well as smaller team run cars like spice or cougar.
As for the p2's,i'm not as disapointed I must admit, but it would have been nice to see some ligiers,Oak racing (onroak) morgan-nissans or even some sort of lola-judd-nissan-zytek configuration.
You need to pay attention to what you are being told.pay closer attention next time
that's more like it ^^You're right, these are more relevant.
You're welcome and thanks for not taking it personally:tup:👍 I like your posts and enjoy reading them, lets just keep everything in it's place so threads don't go off in all directions.that's more like it ^^
so you were paying attention after all..
just gave me a little trap
but honestly thanks,I didn't know there was a "want list" for cars
^
RWD P20 LMP2: flat four turbo (2.0L)
RWD P30 LMP1: flat six turbo (1.6L)
Marek P219D LMP2: straight 4 turbodiesel (2.2L)
Marek P339H LMP1: N/A V8 (3.4L)
Smaller prototypes means a lighter and much nimbler car,in which case is much better for racing for obvious reasons
Looking at those stats,i'd much rather the Marek ^^Also, the 339H uses it's KERS unit up front from 120kph and higher @ 75%+ throttle, and P30 uses rear-end KERS from any speed @ 100% throttle. The two are mostly based on 2013 rules with the 500kJ bursts, but the P30 has a F1 2014 era-like engine.
Well how do you argue that? Not necessarily.
Ok.. let's just forget physics shall we?Not necessarily.
