So I've heard mixed things, is this being developed for ps3/x360 or next gen PS4/Xbox one?

It is being developed for current gen consoles and will be for next gen if sufficient funding can be raised according to the developer.

Definitely for current, PS3 and X360, there is one simple reason for it. Larger customer group.

Ofrcourse if this game is ever going to be released. This is just now ridiculous, they post all those movies and pictures like it is not a game but photo-shop program to make pictures. :ill:

The devs don't release the pictures and videos, they're far too busy making the game. It's the users that make them. Anyway, wouldn't you rather they do their best making the game than doing a rush job (in which we end up with NFS:S2)?

No they don't. All these trailers and pictures are made by members themselves.

I wish they would release project cars beta like whats on steam for us members on the 360/ps3 I for one can't afford a good pc. I wanted this game bad but by the ime its out i'll be on my ps4. hope they put on the ps4 to. or I think many will walk away and wait for gt7

New comparative Project Cars Vs Real life, I have added the new sound of the 2014 Mercedes formual1 so you can hear and see how it will be a return to Monza, I have added dynamic map so you can see where is the formual1 I hope you like it

a greeting

The only problem with that, is the sound they used is the Merc one and it is simulated not completely real. Also the video of PCars was amazing as usual it looked quite real compared to the real life version.

It's better than the one picture previews of Assetto Corsa.
And what the others say above, the members make the pictures and movies as they like to do it.

People always complain, honestly.
One time its not enough, another time its too much.
Heck, they complain like its the weather they are talking about. "It's too hot, I wish we had a shower to cool it down" "darn, after that shower it got so humid" "bah, it's raining cats and dogs. Let's hope it clears up soon" "I am sick and tired of this snow and ice, I hope we will get some better weather soon"... blah blah blah, yada yada.

Can't satisfy all the people at any single time I guess.

Looking at that video, am I the only one that thinks the F1 car in PCARS sits abit too high? Just doesn't look planted top the ground, or maybe the front suspension is just giving me that impression.

You are correct. The ride height seems at least 30mm too heigh. Also I think (judging from the video) that the slow rebound is set too stiff. The suspension responds very firm to bumps.

Okay, I swear I'm beyond done with this games shenanigans.. please tell me it isn't just me dealing with this.

Maybe it's just my imagination but there is still absolutely no transitional grip a year down the line from when I first got on board with this project.

With the Lancer I have absolutely no feel for the tyres once they lose traction, it's more just a point the wheel where you want to go and pray the car will respond.

With RWD (The RGT especially) it feels like the front wheels completely disappear, there is absolutely no interaction between them and the road surface past the grip threshold and again becomes a point and pray.

FWD has to be the worst though.. it honestly feels like I have two extra wheels under the front seats that take over.

Maybe it's just because my driving style relies so heavily on transitional grip but this game has remained completely unplayable ever since I bought it unless I'm staying within the grip threshold at all times.

By transitional grip, you mean that edge of grip where the tyre is just starting to slide?

I haven't played in about a month, so it's probably time I jumped on and checked out what they've done that's new. I'll try the Lancer and RGT and get back to you. Last time I drove the Evo it was an absolute dog, so it'll be nice to see if they've improved it.

Both the Lancer and RGT haven't been touched yet in the CPFT physics testing sessions though.
For the Lancer there is still a lot tech missing in the game engine to replicate that fancy AWD drive system. So the suspension calibration is done just to make it driveable as it is.
But yeah, it could be better. Still, we are working on 3 cars per week in CPFT.
So 1 car under direction of Casey, 1 car under Doug and 1 car under AJ's direction. Where AJ does the initial and experimental stuff, where Casey and Doug do more of the fine tuning side of things.

So yeah, we will get there eventually. ;)

ps. For those who fancy. I just dropped in some really nice Caterham R500 setups in the CPFT for it. The last one being more true to real life. If you want the rear to step out more, just re-add the rear anti-roll bar in little steps. Let me know what you guys think over at WMD (for those with access to the game of course). :D

I do indeed~ Once you begin sliding it's like the front wheels don't even exist.. countersteering becomes an act of guestimation and hoping your tyres regain traction so the game registers their existence once again.

I had assumed that much which is why I didn't dog on them too much but this sort of thing happens even with cars further along the development process (E30 for example)

I sort of shrugged it off last year when I'd first paid for membership but a year down the line and it quite literally feels like no progress has been made.

It's such a shame because when I stay within the grip threshold it feels quite nice and I start getting into it - then I start moving back into my normal driving style and I'll just immediately spin when my front wheels suddenly feel like they don't exist according to the physics system..

I guess I just need to stick to race cars on smooth tracks and not push too hard or I'm never going to get any sort of testing done.

The E30 and 190E are bugged for some reason. If you notice in the last build thread I mentioned this too. It felt bliss two builds ago though. This happened after last build messed with the tyre carcass's longitudinal stiffness figures went haywire. They tried to fix it this build, but we are back to where we were a week ago.

Also I don't see the Caterham R500 Superlight that is now in CPFT as a race car, but a road/trackday car. A car which (if we have a bit of money) we could all use for daily shopping if we have too, although it lags some space for bags.

Unfortunately, this won't happen any time soon for two good reasons: One, both MS and Sony will not authorise the use of beta demos or versions of software without being digitally signed first, and that means they have to test it and license it, which costs a lot of money (which SMS doesn't have); and two, the game is still a long way of being beta level yet. I would say give it another 6 months yet.

Now that's a nice one for some box cover artwork. Damn, that beast of a machine looks mean and aggressive in that shot.

ya I know I just wish but Its just a wish I know won't happen but I understand why more know thanks, in six months sadly most of us non pc players will have moved on to ps4/xboxone. time to pull the plug on my member ship. I thought the game would have been out this fall when I signed up.

Same here, but the thing to remember is this: Have you needed the money you have invested in the project? If the answer is yes, then pull your membership. If the answer is no, leave it in and reap the reward when it gets released.

Funnily, that was my first thought too. Made a quick one for the PS4.
