Somehow I'm not surprised its the same guy making the same complaint here. Responded to a similar post in the AC thread.

For a game that is aspire to be better in graphics term than GT5 i'm expecting something on the same level at least like in GT5.

Rain there is awesome, so far I've seen comparison like [lite rain pCars - heavy rain GT5] It's not quite fair, where is heavy rain pCars - heavy rain GT5 ??

Great video. It shows though how pcars has to many shadows. In the video the cars cast almost identical shadows on the ground, but pcars has shadows on the track regardless of where the sun is. Like the grandstands casting a shadow over half the track, yet the sun is directly in front of you. Its still early in development, but shows a bit of overkill on some effects.

It will be sorted. From what I can tell from the feedback we get from Dubai Autodrome, those Arabs are quite picky when it comes to getting the details right. Which I praise them for. The more perfectly detailed, the better the experience and immersion. :)

Work in progress. Which of these three words do you not understand?

Also, stuff like proper anti aliasing being in the game, as well as support for resolutions far beyond 1920x1080 - so, yeah, I'd say it's already better than GT5. Even if the rain effects (which haven't been implemented for very long) aren't as impressive yet.

These versions were cancelled in favour of the next-gen consoles IIRC.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to compete against GT6 on PS3, with a downgraded version, when the PS4 is out already. The game would bomb on current gen, it has a chance on the next consoles because their market isn't as saturated.

No. The idea is being considered but no firm choice has been made yet.

Unless I have missed something.

Maybe I misunderstood something, doesn't change my view though.
A PS3 version wouldn't make a lot of sense. Yes, the install base is bigger, but let's be honest, pCARS is a niche product and that works better on a system with less competition. Also, the graphics are an important argument for selling a game and a 720p30 PS3 version would definitely get a lot of harsh criticism.

Although I was previously against them dropping the PS3/360 versions, a current-gen version of the game seems pretty much obsolete at this point and even more sometime into next year. I assume that it would be the better option in the long term as well.

@R8TEDM3 : Great shots as always! 👍

Thanks mate ;)

I have to agree with you fellas, and i think it would be a great move skipping PS3 & Xbox360 versions! By saying that, some of you might not agree on this, but from a financial point of view, i think they should skip the Wii U version as well!

I love, own/support Nintendo, and have bought every system since SNES, purchased 17-18 games so far for the Wii U, but IMHO third party support sucks right now! Why?

Because the only people making $$$ on sold games right now is the Big N! Third parties are not even breaking even! Also today i read a tweet by "Emily Roger" who's ...check this link out>>>

It's pretty much the same, Wii U owners are not supporting third parties, and "Ubisoft" who was Nintendo's biggest supporter could be giving up really soon!

If that happens, Wii U will not go away right now, just because of awesome upcoming first party games, but come Christmas when PS4 & Xbox1 release it's gonna be just like when PS2 came onto the scene, and poor Dreamcast had to pack it's bags! I hope i'm wrong, but it's not looking good.

My only reason for not supporting them dropping current gen is purely due to financial reasons. By already having a console its on, all I have to worry about spending money on is the game itself.

It hasn't been decided yet, no.

So, just to be clear, it has not yet been decided that pCars will be released for the PS3 but it is definitely being released for PS4?

I'll buy a PS4 just for this game!

No. It hasnt been decided yet whether the game will come out on current gen (PS3/360) or next gen (PS4/XB1). Only sure release platform is PC and probably WiiU (although I think it wont be worth it).

Many thanks for the clarification FLX....will be waiting to see what is decided, this game (along with other factors) will be influencing my decision to go next gen console or PC....
