i hope for 32 cars on track on PS4/XOne

If the target is 60fps which I assume, Im hoping for at least 20 cars on the PS4. I would be happy with that. Thats just enough to have a nice two class race.

Sure PC can run 60+ cars, but your going to need the latest processor and graphics card to do that at the highest graphics settings. If PS4 can run the game at 'high' settings and 60fps with 20 cars on track, I would be more then happy.

Well, call me dumb but does gt6 run at 60fps? If not I was completely OK with that rate. And I wouldn't complain about around 20 cars if its not like gt6 where all but 1 show zero tallent

It runs at a max of 60fps but can go as low as the 20's depending on how many cars on track, weather etc. GT6 is also not full HD or 1920x1080 it's 1440 x 1080.

If you want to see what PCars will look like in full HD mode (it makes the Youtube stuff look like 2004) go to http://www.gamersyde.com/ and you can download and watch. Make sure you pick ones that say 60fps as some are 30fps, to show the difference.

Who knows where pCARS could go in future though with a bigger budget. I agree pCARS (1) in itself isn't likely to attract the huge, varied crowd GT can that netted them 60 million sales but the franchise in general could move a lot closer to it in future. Just depends how well the first one sells and how much they have to work with for future games.

Indeed. If it somehow happened that pCARS was to be as successful as GT1, then you can look at GT2 and see what sort of levels of content are possible.

Of course, that's wild, glittering, flailing success and it won't happen. But if pCARS does well and they decide to make a pCARS2, then the car count can ramp up pretty quickly. And the track count is already up there with the best of them.

The obvious advantage PCars has over GT1 is that it's available on all gaming platforms. It only needs to be moderately successful on each platform to be an overall raging success.

I am only missing Opel and Alfa I guess. Why missing Opel? While not succesful they were present and without them the grid feels like it is lacking.
Hopefully we might see them (the missing pieces) in DLC sometime, but I am not holding my breath.
Are there any new infos concerning Opel and SMS?

We dont know any more than you do.

If it looks like that I will be absolutely thrilled. The thing is, the Wii U does have power, but it appears to take a lot of effort to realize it. Makes me wonder if SMS have noticed this, because surely if they were developing it like a last gen game they would still have churned out the 360 and PS3 ones.

So hype for E3 now.

The only problem I see with the Wii U is the console has no controllers which have analog triggers so unless you map the throttle and brake to an analog stick, you won't be able to have precise modulation. Digital works fine for arcade racers like Mario Kart but I just don't see it working well for something like this.

It'll be interesting to see what SMS has done to work around this though.

Thank you for the information, I appreciate it. If it works well that is a huge plus for those who plan on purchasing it on the Wii U.

I wonder if they'll ever have Track updating.

Example, say Laguna seca in real life gets new curbing and gets new asphalt on the track surface in real life, then SMS releases a little update to add that to the game. Thats just me though, what do you guys think?
