Except that Marco Massarutto took that picture and ensured a picture of Assento Corsa was in the shot and then posted it.

You do not do that by accident. That is no rumour.

Anyway, I'm hoping Sony really are talking to Logitech because that means I can buy a PS4. I won't do that if my wheel is not supported.

I guess we'll have to wait & see. As for GT's huge following; GT6 only sold about 2.5 million copies, it would seem it's already on it's way out.
I think you need 2 in a row to start thinking that way. You can have one bad game or one bad anything, but the feeling still lingers that they can do something right, they just have to turn it around. At this point I think most people that didn't buy the game, still love the series, and if it turns around they'll happily pick it up. Screw up 2 in a row however, and all the goodwill is gone. GT7 is critical, I'd still buy it in spite of GT6, even if I own PCars and other good games at the time. But this time I'll read the reviews first!!

I agree, I didn't buy GT6 as I wasn't pleased with the direction that the series was going after GT5, and from what I read about GT6 in the run up to it's release I wasn't confident that the issues that I was unsatisfied with would be addressed. However I am a big fan of the series, having bought every title bar GT6, and would love to see series return to its former glory. It's possible that GT7 will turn out to be great, although I'm more confident that PCars will deliver the experience I'm after. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

IMO, GT6 is strike three, beginning with GT4, but I have to agree they haven't lost their sterling reputation yet. A next-gen GT is a different kettle of fish from a same-gen GT with missing features.

I have to say, I bought GT6 around 1 1/2 months ago and was pretty satisfied in the first 10 hrs or so. But then it felt like every other GT. Hundreds of cars, tons of tracks but no challenge, no motivation. AI races are so god damn boring.

Now I got infected by Assetto Corsa 2 weeks ago and I already played 2-3 times longer than I played GT6. With its only 35 cars and few tracks, it is so much better. Physics, AI, Online, everything feels way better. I had great fun with the AI 2 hrs. ago. I never had one single race in GT6 that was even a quarter fun of that what I had with the AI in AC.

GT is a nice car museum game for public gamers and racing fans. You can turn on your console, grab your stick or wheel and play around. But it cant satisfy Sim fans. And I think it never will become a racing simulator like AC or Pcars (did not played that one yet).

I recently had my first run on AC, at Laguna Seca (you must download it if you haven't!), just did some shakedown laps in the 12C GT3. Holy crap, it is insanely good, and the sound effects, like hearing little clinks and clangs from in the cabin when going over rough surfaces, it's bloody brilliant I was smiling ear to ear! Turned the realism to max and the feeling of the car was so much better than GT. Incomparable.

Sorry, I didn't know where to ask this and I didn't find the answer in the pages that I read.

Any news on wheel support for this game? I have a G27. I love it. I really do not want to buy another wheel for Project Cars. I will if I have to. Just would rather not.

Thanks for your time today!

It really comes down to what system you'll be playing pCARS on: PC, Xbox One, or PS4. PC for sure it'll work...PS4 dunno. I think there were some posts about wheel compatibility in the physics thread.

Thank you for the quick response. Sorry I failed to mention what system I planned on getting. I will be getting the PS4.

Fingers crossed that they support it for that system.

Thanks again.

Did the Sierra have anti lag as standard?

Do you turbo lag?
If so I remember Dick Johnson saying when he raced them in Group A.
The power delivery is like turning on a switch, absolutely nothing until the turbo kicks in and then hold on for dear life.

I meant an anti lag system, but if that's the description of the power delivery then I'm thinking no.

I wonder, if they were to introduce a car that has an anti lag system such as a WRC car, not only would they have to replicate the engine response and noise dependant on anti lag conditions (it should be selectable), they will also have to replicate the effect anti lag has on the brakes on vehicles that have vacuum assisted brakes - because an engine in an anti lag condition doesn't go in to vacuum when the throttle is closed it doesn't produce vacuum to assist the brakes.

Ah OK, with you now @Punknoodle.
Confusion was on my side. :dopey:

Not sure about in pCars tbh, come to think of it I should fire it up again as it's been a while. Always nice to see the improvements after a bit of time away.
