E3: Project CARS PS4 video / Offscreen + no car sound

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_e3_project_cars_ps4_video-15457_en.html

Update: Slightly Mad Studios contacted us to say that the game we filmed had some bad settings which explains the jerkiness of the video. We removed it, and should have a fixed version as soon as possible! 'Oh dear, it seems someone has been messing with the development head and world movement settings that in fairness we should not have left exposed. This is making the movement look very odd indeed and nothing like it should. We'll fix it today so you can see how it should look.
The team are very proud of our PS4 build which is all but identical to how it looks on a powerful PC.
Thanks for your patience.'

I've watched so many project cars videos that I type it in on YouTube by accident when I'm searching something else

@JASON_ROCKS1998 some very good points there :)

Thanks, this looks like it'll be really good and the career system they're planning looks similar to that of the old ToCa games, which will make a change to the career style of GT and Forza

I thought I caught a glimpse of the Test Track still in development in the E3 trailer. I thought that track wasn't going to be in the game.

There are any news about wheel support for consoles? in specific logitech wheels. I have a dfgt
However i'm buying the ps4 just for this game, i may sound stupid but for me having a game like that (i'm excited by the track list!!.. and cars!) on consoles is a dream, something i've been waiting for. Hope to be able to enjoy it with my dfgt.

Still nothing...

The controls look like the worst I have ever seen in a racing game...
Extremely twitchy while the steering wheel almost doesn't move at all.

It looks like they still have heaps of work to do for optimizing this game for the consoles in this regard.

Unfortunately they completely screwed up all the control and camera settings. Its basically at the worst at could be... on the biggest possible stage for exposure. :ouch:

Here it is replicated with better settings: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8yFZHrqKI3jQXMtLUtfZ0hUUUE/edit

I am shocked how bad this actually looks! The controls I mean 👎...Until now I have been blown away with what they released but that gameplay video just killed it for me. Game looks stunning graphicswise and the content seems great too but I wait for further news according to the handling with pad on the consoles.

That actually looks already much better! Great chase-cam! 👍

I've been reading through the WMD forum a bit now and as far as I understand that's a replication on a PC, with correct controller settings.

I hope they get it sorted out at E3 and update the settings for day 2. I'd like to see it working on a PS4 directly :P

Someone messed with the settings on the PS4 video if I understood correctly. Very nice that they respond that quickly 👍

WMD community is the first group to highlight this kind of things :P So yeah, the devs are bound to notice the discussions @ the forums (even if they already were aware of the 'issue').

^ The exact reason has been explained several times above...

This is known to me as the demo-devil: some last minute detail will be screwed up when you're in a hurry and stressed out for a presentation. Been there, done that :guilty: It goes to show that the devs are humans after all, not some kind of omnipotent AI :P

Career Mode sounds nice. Now I hope we can choose the length of races in the career mode. I don't want a 3 lap each race gt/forza style career. I want to be able to play a whole race weekend with practice, qualifying and a race with let's say 50 laps or how many laps ever you want.

So players can play however they want. If they want a quick career they can race 3 laps if they want realistic career they can race 50 laps.

SMS if you listen, please add this :D

After looking at several Project Cars videos and the site, I am definitely considering buying this for the PS4. However, I have a few questions:
1. Is the handling like the driving on ice garbage handling that was in Shift 2 or is it similar to GT games?
2. Will all of the cars and tracks shown on the Project Cars site be on the PS4 game?
3. Will the safety car, formation laps, grid starts, crane pickup of cars, etc be in the PS4 version?
4. Will 64 car grids be available in the PS4 version?
5. What other things will not be in the PS4 version?
6. Will it be 60fps?

I really hope the PC and PS4 versions are the same.
