Bram TurismoNever fully understood those sequential gearboxes. On the upshifts there is no clutch usage by the driver himself , yet on the downshifts he is performing a usual heel-and-toe downshift?
I thought sequential gearboxes meant the driver didn't have to use a clutch himself on the upshift or downshift. A simple blip on the throttle on each downshift is enough to maintain revs.
Or am I thinking of a completely different gearing system here?
For clutch preservation I believe.
Exactly, it's just preserving the equipment. If you know what you're doing you can change gears in any gearbox without the clutch by blipping the throttle, you're gonna destroy it in no time but it can be done.
A "sequential" box can be in several configurations, in this example it's just a straight cut dogbox wich means that instead of helical gears they are straight cut gears(that's where the whine comes from), you can upshift while flat on the pedal but still have to blip it because the ECU doesn't do it for you.
Heres a proper sequential:

A top-end gearbox from XTRAC costs more than a GT3 Cup.

I just watched the SRT interview with Andy at Gamescom. This is going to be a long year for us PS3 only people.
RaitzigerThat video made me put money aside for new PC I will build a new system on Haswell CPU which are to be released in Q1/2013.
I can't wait until the car flickering is fixed, I assume that's because I'm running ATI? (still dont call it AMD)
It's the 60x timecycle. You can set 1x, 2x, 10x and 60x 👍Is there a bug with the clouds? They are moving faster than the car. It almost looks like the clouds are being seen from the rear view of the car, moving away from it.

Do any of you guys know if there are any plans to support OSX? (Dont laugh).

I think it's been sped up to show the day/night transition in a shorter time. I would guess at normal speed the clouds barely move.
Static cam video is pretty cool. Anyone know if console versions will have the ability to make videos like that?
