I'm really hoping there are multiple configs for Infineon (or whatever it's called these days). The only layout of that track that I really enjoy is the config used for NASCAR.

Same goes for Watkin's Glen.

Watkin's Glen already has the multiple layouts in use. As for Infineon, Silverstone, Nurburgring, etc., they will come, but only once the track models have been finished. There's no point in having to remake 3 or 4 different versions every time. Just model it once, and then change the circuit outlines. But to reassure you, they have been confirmed that all circuits in use by the track's owners will be used.

Ahhh, good news! Thanks for the info. The NASCAR layouts for Infineon and Watkin's Glen are 2 of my all-time favorite tracks.

Speaking of The Glen, have there been any pCARS videos of the NASCAR layout of it made? If anyone has a link, I'd LOVE to see it.

RUF cars are:

1987 CTR "Yellowbird"
2012 CTR3
2012 Rt 12R
2012 RGT-8

I hope the big manufacturer is Mercedes, i want the DTM 190E EVO2!

I still hope we some day will get a Porsche license though for pCARS...
I mean... this iconic car would be nice to drive...

The Porsche 917.
The below video is one of the first of many restauration videos on this machine (so if you want to watch more... ;) )

i am realliy interested in getting PCars but i have to wait until i create my gaming computer.

Well, then you might have to buy it when it retails because the funding is almost complete. After that I believe the doors would close for new people to join the project.

I think the big german manufacturer is Opel. SMS has definitely contacted Audi and Merc, think about whats in the game and whats supposed to be in the game... R8 LMS, RS3, C-Klasse DTM, SLS GT3, 190 Evo DTM... they need those, so I would be very surprised if those two werent among the very first that have been contacted by SMS.

My guess: Opel. They are looking for PR, they are big, they are German and one of the members set the contact up recently. Makes extra sense because imho there arent any interesting Opels for pCARS besides the Astra VXR, so its understandable SMS didnt contact Opel themselves. Maybe some classic race cars, but otherwise..?

PS @bzking: If you want to influence the direction of the game, you can already join now and play later. Funding is like 1 month away from being complete, after that you would have to wait until release to play if you re not a member by then.

Thanks. That also confirms what I thought, the Facebook page is not official, it's run by that Manager David although obviously they don't seem to mind him posting all of the WIP shots.

So I guess that makes it sort of psuedo official, obviously not to the extent you mean but the de facto facebook page (that I know of) to go to for the newest screetshots. They seem pretty lax, at best just restricting what pics he can and can't release.

Yeah I know I was probably being over cautious about posting -indev shots here, I just remember it was clearly said that any in-dev shots not publicly posted by SMS shouldn't be posted anywhere else.

I agree with that it is most likely Opel. Though I don't agree to the assumption that the only interesting car is that one Astra.

I would love to have the Lotus Carlton which was build under the Opel license and thus sold by Opel. It was faster then a Testarossa and definitely a good road car (which people have been screaming for) to add to pCARS.
I mean, who in Europe hasn't driven in an Opel/Vauxhall in the 80's and 90's by either themselves or as passenger? ;)

I saw a Lotus Carlton last time I was on the Isle of Wight, it's the ultimate Q-car because everyone just sees a Vauxh-- Opel.

There's plenty of fast Vauxh-- Opels SMS could include in the game, such as the Astra DTM, Kadett touring car, Corsa OPC (is it OPC still or VXR? I thought VXR was Vauxhall-specific and the Opel version was OPC) or the Opel Corsa 1 litre rental car, seeing as it's a known fact that rental cars are the fastest cars on earth.

Whoopsie daisy, you re right of course.

Opel = OPC
Vauxhall = VXR

Anyway @ Logi: My point wasnt that there is only 1 interesting Opel, I wrote "interesting for pCARS", it has to make sense in the context of the game (career mode, matching other cars well etc). I wonder if SMS contacted Vauxhall already, seeing that they are a british company.

Actually I like vintage Opels a lot, racing versions even more, so some Group 5 Opels vs the Capri and 320 Gr5 would of make sense too, yes.

Woah, multiplayer's out for team members, looking to hop in to a room later.

We should get together a few of us to run a quick multi-heat championship so we can crown the first pCars league champ. :D:tup:

Formula B should be pretty fun once it gets the seta tire thing!

Tried online again tonight, still very messy with so many people wanting to win in the first corner, even when there is nothing to even win. Also people then decide to leave their car in a stupid spot. Then you have the issue of hitting a car, getting turned upside down with the iffy collision detection and then you're in the way even more.

Online needs a lot more features to make it fun at the moment.

The often hated beauty of a stats/penalty system, that's what separates iRacing from the rest and what this game has the oportunity to adopt and perhaps even pefect.

I agree but I just don't understand why at this stage of testing people are going gun ho trying to win when there is nothing to win, we're just meant to be testing it. I had one good race in about two hours where 8 of us agreed to take it very easy into turn 1 and then start racing for real after a few corners with everyone up to speed.

It's obviously got a long way to go but right now it needs some care to make the testing phase a lot more comfortable, mainly better collision detection and stopped/slow car ghosting.

Because, straight up, the majority of people in mp right now dont understand that or dont care. Look at all those names in the lobbies that you never even read in the forum uness they have a gamebreaking problem.

It wont be a problem for long anyway (just until private lobbies, host kicks etc are implemented) and until then try to remember the hosts you had good races with. From the top of my head I can recommend Frank Pabst, petrolhd, syggy, Scott Coffey, halcyon... basically the people being decent in the forum are also decent on track.

And no, that doesnt always include yours truly. My inner Montoya runs free from time to time and then I have a tendency to make surprising/risky/stupid overtaking maneuvers that dont always go as planned. :D

I try to look for trusted names I recognise from the forum (Was with Remco earlier) but of course with the one race then quit setup it's hard to keep finding them. Once we can end races properly and go back to the same lobby it'll be much better. I don't play online much in general, not really my thing but whenever I did on Forza or GT I found a lobby I liked and stuck with it.

PS Without trawling through the forum is there a way to post chat messages mid game? I caused a large start pileup in one race because my wheel disconnected (Well I accidentally pulled the USB cord out with my foot but shh) but I couldn't work out how to post a message to apologise?

In race, just press t to start typing, but the space for messages is short, so be careful. As for people to recommend in lobbies, Captain_EZ is good.

Thanks, I only wanted to say sorry because everyone piled into me whilst I was wondering why nothing was happening. :P

Not sure how I feel about opel. A few cars from them could be nice - some classic DTM and maybe a road car.

I Hosted some races tonight and it was a blast... formula rookie w/ 8 guys was a lot of fun. Even though there isn't much lag with 25+ people it seems the more people there are the more chaotic the race is.

I'll try to host a race this weekend to try to get us GTP guys together.
