Well I still get some legendary cars. I love all 5 of them!
You're mixing the packs... Modified has 3 cars (RUF CTR3 SMS-R, Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster and Ariel Atom 3 Mugen), while LE pack has 5 cars (McLaren F1, Sauber C9, BMW M1 ProCar, Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupé DTM and 1967 Ford Mk IV)

Oh, I googled project cars modified car pack and it showed up the 5 legendary. But the modified pack is pretty awesome too

100.
However this remind me of the spinal tap advert for amps as theirs went to 11 rather than 10 so it must be louder.

I personally never understand why it doesn't just go to 100 with that being the most difficult.

I think in most old sims 100% was max AI ability, after 100% it would increase their grip/modify AI phisics to gain more competitivity (that's just pure speculation)

Are all those cars DLC only? If I don't get the Modified pack or LE pack then I won't have those cars?

I find it interesting that so many people are talking about AI.

Considering PCARS is being touted as a SIM, who amongst them considers racing against computers to be true to life? I'm buying PCars to race against real human competitors with my real driving physics. I don't find racing against my console satisfyingly in the least.

Of course everyone is different, and it's good that Pcars are trying to cater to all skill types within their 'campaign', but I think you all can be safe in the knowledge that it'll be better than GT!

However if you want to challenge yourself, race real people! Race me!! :D

Ooooooo It's On Now!!! That's what I'm talking about.

@Captain Roh
Real competition is nice sometimes, but I don't want the quality of my gaming experience to depend entirely upon the skills and sportsmanship of strangers.

Not to mention the time spent finding a lobby, waiting for everyone to get ready, and waiting for the game to start. Oops! Connection error. Time to find another lobby.
Unless you organize with like-minded people, it's seldom worth the effort or inordinate amount of time spent staring at a timer. And I won't be able to race cross-platform against most of you guys anyway.

I'm in a similar situation... everyone I usually play GT6 with and who are going to buy pCARS are going to do so for PS4, while I'll be playing it on PC (decided to invest 1000€ upgrading mine which I'll be able to use for other games as well plus I'll be able to keep using my G25, instead of spending 800€ on a PS4 + Wheel + PS Plus + Game itself, which would only be used for this one game)

I think the majority of people who buy this game have no interest in racing online. Console players are by far more interested in offline play. GT5 even at it's peak only had a few hundred lobbies open at any one time on the weekend meaning just a few thousand players online out of 10million units sold. Other games have staggering numbers relative to this, in the hundreds of thousands of users online. In racing you depend on the other guy to act like a gentleman at all times or it can easily ruin your experience because let's be real, the chances of running across someone online who actually behaves like a gentleman are pretty slim. In most other games you expect the other guy to try and kill you so it's kind of hard to be trolled in a FPS. The online experience in racing is just too hit and miss, so if you only have a half hour or an hour to race, you could easily go online and never have a good race in that time and/or spend most of your time waiting. Offline still offers up a great alternative for most players so long as the AI is competitive, and the leaderboards are well done for those that want to solo/hotlap and compare with their friends or the world.

And to add even more to that, the AI has been tweaked further since that video was made and their awareness should be increased further - which is especially great for open wheelers, as they are now less bumping into you when driving those, while still rubbing doors in tin tops.

It's in the builds already? I know Doug mentioned that Chris was working on it, but I didn't see anything about it in the build notes for this/last week yet.

EDIT:
Sounds like it's something that will be in by end of the week (along with better starts), based on what Doug just said on WMD.

The only other thing they need to look at, I think, is the long races with tire wear/mechanical failures enabled, and I'll be very happy with where AI's at for release! Even now it's great and beats most other games though.

Quick question regarding preorders, I'm going to buy a ps4 just for pCars when it comes out and I was planning to get the electronic version from the ps store. Does that mean I can't preorder the game and miss out on the modified cars pack? I want the RUF! Since i don't own the ps4 yet I'm not sure how that works!

I know this was discussed before, but I can't remember: in free practice, or time trial, can we have AI on track? Like, creating something like winter testing sessions?
