Okay,
So Now I feel, both relieved and totally ripped off at the same time.
I pre-ordered Project Cars from Amazon back on Sunday, July 20, 2014.
Today I was feeling like I needed to be prepared the day this thing hits my doorstep and know that my Logitech G27 will not be supported, So, I went ahead and ordered the following:

1). Thrustmaster T300 RS Wheel/Base
2). Thrustmaster Wheel to Logitech Pedal Adapter - By Ricmotech (I think the G27 Pedals look a lot nicer/higher quality than the T300)

While there I also Pre-Ordered the following:

3). Thrustmaster TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On

I feel ripped off because I really would not have purchased a new wheel or any of this if my Logitech G27 was supported, so they kind of forced my hand.

I really hope that I don’t regret this purchase, can anyone comment on if they think this wheel is worth the money? I paid $399 for the T300, I am used to the leather on the G27 so that is what made me purchase the 28 GT Wheel Add-On.
The t300 is definitely worth it. Be prepared for some blisters and the wife complaining. I just wanted to play and play. Lol:lol:

I understand, I guess I just needed to vent, I never really gave it any consideration that a peripheral that I purchased for the PS3 would not automatically be supported on the PS4. This just seems odd, but I guess if you look at it from a financial point of view it makes perfect sense to the ones making the decision to do that.

Thanks for the info though.
Many of us have gone through the same venting process:lol:. I started thinking about making the switch to pc last spring/summer when it seemed my G27 wouldn't be supported and I didn't feel like shelling out $1k+ to play console games. I think you'll find many others around here that are in the same boat.

Guys the new t3pa pedals that Darin (inside Sim racing) reviewed on his channel are looking SWEET! I'm glad I waited on purchasing the orginals. That was a wish come true. I've been looking for some t500 pedals for awhile. I just hope the first ones off the assembly line are solid and functioning correctly. This is a impulse buy for me. Here's my money Thrustmaster. Sad I know. But hell, somebody's got to do it. My wife is becoming concerned about my new found Sim addiction. Actually, I picked up the habit years ago. Gave it up for awhile but now, sim addict!! A few purchases I've made recently has cost me some nights on the couch. All hale to the Sim god.:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: Lol. Man, I've lost my marbles!!! Haha

Simfan David,
Thanks for the info, I was pulling the trigger and thinking: I hope this thing feels better than my G27 or I have just wasted a lot of money and won't be happy.

Johnnypenso,
Thanks for understanding, I'm happy I am not the only one that felt this way. I thought about going High End Gaming PC but I have 2 PS3's and a PS4 so, I figured I should at least give the PS4 a try and I could still use the T300RS if I do go that route later.

I was on ps4 and ps3 made a move to a mid spec PC. Don't regret one bit. On PC you don't worry about delays to much because there is such a large variety of games available to you. I mean I spent 5 months replaying skyrim and the fallout series because the mods totally transform the experience.

I think PC also changes the way you look at games.

I checked yesterday and it looked like you only got the modified pack for pre ordering on steam, didn't see the LE cars mentioned?

When you go to the pCARS Store Page on Steam you have a "Pre-Purchase Offer" section where it mentions the Modified pack, then under it there's a "About This Game" section where it says the digital edition also includes the Limited Edition pack...

Does this mean we can look forward to Fanatec wheels with native PS4/Xbone support? Or is it just what it is, Fanatec wheels is compatible with the game pCARS, period?

From the Blog:

"Please note that for Xbox One you still need to add a Xbox One compatible steering wheel rim while on the PS4 the wheels will work as they are and you don't even need to put them in PlayStation mode.

The first Xbox One steering wheel will be announced very soon."

At least this stops all whining about old wheels not being compatible on PS4 and conspiracy theorists saying that Thrustmaster have an exclusive deal with Sony to lock out competitors. Finally Fanatec decided to do the right thing and pay the licensing fee or develoed drivers for PS4. Either way Fanatec wheel owners should be happy.

Wonder how long it will take all the other games on PS4/XBone to support Fanatec wheels.

If they are smart... not long at all. ;)
Also if Kaz is smart than GT7 will have Fanatec support too. CSWv2 plus Granturismo rim as the official GT7 wheel? One can dream

I knew this would happen as soon as I made a purchase and like clock work, I purchased the Thrustmaster T300 RS Wheel/Base, the Logitech Pedal Adapter - By Ricmotech and even pre-ordered the TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On just yesterday (The T300 will arrive tomorrow, really fast free shipping) and then the very next day Fanatec makes this announcement.

You may wonder why I even care at this point, well, the reason is that I was originally thinking of getting the Fanatec ClubSport Base V2, the ClubSport BMW M3 GT2 Rim and ClubSport Pedals V2.
The problem was the way that Fanatec seems to play games with the consumer. By this I mean things like “By Invitation Only” and of course there was no way I could get the invite because I was not a previous customer, that is a silly game (All products should be first come first serve period).

Also Fanatec was never really clear on how the compatibility would work until now.

I was also attempting to get some info from members here which was best with PCARS (Specifically Digiprost because it looks like they have used both T300 and Fanatec CSW with Project Cars). I posted the question twice but never got a response, Not sure if they couldn’t comment on it due to the news that was just announced.

Well, I guess the question that I have for anyone who has an opinion is: Should I be concerned about my purchase, Will I be missing out on better feel in the game/sim by not going with the CSW or will the T300 be a really good choice or compromise?

^ Positive thing is that the T300 gets better feedback than the older fanatec/ Logitech wheels with regards to ffb and overall feel. And the whole clubsport package would have cost you an arm and a leg.

Just ordered a tx wheel today and the Ferrari gte add on. I did plan on selling my g27, but I may wait a little while now on the chance they become ps4 compatible. Maybe I could squeeze a couple more bucks out of it then.

While the T300 isn't a bad wheel, the CSWv2 is much more powerful. Plus I personally prefer the Fanatec quick release system over the Thrustmaster one, which ended up coming undone mid-race.
Also I do think that the official add-on rim line-up of Fanatec is much stronger and more diverse.
Than there is the art of keeping the FFB motor cool. Fanatec uses two big fans that can properly deliver some good airflow, but I believe the T300 still comes with the same crappy fan as the T500 did. Which is worthless. I replaced my fan in the T500 with a Noctua 6cm one with better performance figures.

Anyway, I haven't used the T300 personally but from what I hear the CSWv2 is a class above it.

I have the original CSW and the T500 Rs and I can tell you for a fact that the CSW is miles ahead of the T500 in terms of functionality, FFB stregnth, smoothness, and quietness. It's far superior in every way. Even the wheel rims are much more realistic.

Well, I'd hope so. It is $850 for the Fantec wheel ($600 for the base, $250 for the rim) versus $400. It costs more than twice as much plus shipping. I dont know that it is twice the wheel though.

The pedals? $250 plus shipping for the Fanatec pedals is a bargain.

All currencies in USD.

Could this be a reason that Pcars was also delayed until may because they wanted this support in place first to sell more games a cleverly so
No, no, no, no, no and ummmm........ No! Project cars was delayed for bug fixing. Had the game been released in November it would have been added in post release. So can we stop with silly conspiracies on altererier motives for delaying the game.

@Termite111 If you look at some of the WMD dev notes people repost in this thread one will question how far off they were from two of the release dates. Implementing Fanatec drivers would have taken them no more than a days work as most of the code would have been provided by Fanatec.

Let's hope that Sony won't do a u-turn, become greedy and block access to USB ports in future updates to ensure they get some revenue off Fanatec with second tier licensing model.

Calm down! I wasn't on about November's release as clearly it wasn't in a good place then but a lot of guys were surprised with the latest release who have build access.

And it's not a as you say CONSPIRACY theory it was just a theory which I could see why they'd potentially do it IF it was the case!
