Project CARS was just named Playboy's game of the month

That's my worry , My birthdays tomorrow and I'm getting mine from the wife ! But all I've ever used is a controller so it's going to be a steep learning curve I'm sure .
Ok guys. I know a lot of you are wondering what graphics settings are going to be on Xbox/PS4.
So I was digging through the graphics config files and found some presents. Two of them are called PS4 and XBONE, so there's a good chance that these are the settings that are used on consoles. However, it's also entirely possible that the devs have custom settings running on their consoles that they access through the debug menu or something.
I'm not going to go through each setting one-by-one, but I'll tell you that the presets currently are exactly the same, no difference between xbox and ps4, and most presets are set to MEDIUM quality. This is the only video I found comparing the settings:
It's old, so some thing have improved since then.
Actually the little bit that was written by a Jason Buhrmester. Of course the movie of the month was a Furious 7 (which also hasn't arrived yet)Hugh Hefner is a WMD member.
I know. I may well be wrong here. Just saying what I saw.The problem with this is that Everything that I have read about Project Cars has stated that the PS4 Graphics are the equivalent of High on a PC.
Can Someone verify this?
Also, it would be nice to see a video comparing: Low, Med, High and Ultra.

I prefer fps over visuals, that's for sure. I hope they squeeze out everything (ps4). Better let go of some graphical extras next to the track or something like this. I'm not an expert regarding AAA and stuff, but I hope you get my point. I wouldn't mind medium though.I know. I may well be wrong here. Just saying what I saw.
On the other hand, these current consoles are very, very weak, so i highly doubt that they can run high at all conditions at 60 FPS. I was just playing forza horizon 2 free version and that thing doesn't have great graphics, there were lots of tree pop in and other glitches, and that is developed by first party studio. So if they can't squeeze enough juice out of Xbox, I doubt SMS can do much better. Anyway, even at medium it still looks good.

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_pcars_gsy_livestream_tomorrow-16417_en.htmlAs you know, Project CARS was supposed to be released by the end of March after being delayed once, but history kept repeating itself since it has been postponed two more time since then. Because we've been playing the game since June 2012, we thought it'd be interesting to livestream the PC version tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. CET, while trying to answer the questions you might have. If you're interested in this new challenger to Forza Mtorsport, Gran Turismo and Assetto Corsa - to name but a few - be there on time!
And stream Spotify in the background...Us peasants on PS4 now have the option to suspend game anytime anywhere.![]()
Background music in racing games is the first thing I turn off. My favorite music in those games is engine sound! And stream Spotify in the background...
"Their" choice in music always sucks, which is why it gets shut off, my music does not. Blazing through The Ring playing Mozart is the bees knees!!! Just kidding, but some may like that. Background music in racing games is the first thing I turn off. My favorite music in those games is engine sound!![]()

Yeah. Everyone has its favorites.
But I doubt any real driver is listening to music because he needs audio feedback from the track and the car to achieve better. Even I get distracted by music (in gt that was). I'm more concwntrated when bg music is off.
Just a thought.
You found one who really does do exactly that! Mozarts Symphonies and Piano Concertos are far better than his opera for racing around the ring, try:
Symphony No. 25 in G Minor, K. 183, its a great piece!
I need to focus so hard when driving race cars like the Audi R8 and above so music only distracts me. All you pro racer out there might not have a problem with that but I do.I like to hear podcasts in the background when im testing cars or take a joyride on the Nordschleife. Just like i do when i haul along the Autobahn for several hours. 👍
I'd just like to ask some of the wmd members a question if I may.
I was just wondering how possible it would be to implement more informative displays on the cars dashboards.
My example is it see a fair few members use a display called Motec where they can toggle between fuel/tyre temperature etc on the led dash which as far as I'm aware is a third party pc programme incorporated into the game.
Is there any chance of SMS being able to put this in the game themselves for consoles as one thing we don't have the luxury of being able to have is third party apps running as pc racers can and have little info as a result
Cheers
It is not a special app, fully working incar motec displays are a core func
functionality of PCars.
That is what Im hoping for too!!That's brilliant thanks. I hope the could somehow in the future incorporate the ps second screen app.

Theoretically possible, linking up the opportunities that remote play/smartglass offer, but it would require offloading the data processing to another core/CPU (possibly the input/output processor, if my memory of the consoles' instruction chipsets serves me correct)). Again, possible, but who knows what that would open up in terms of bugs and unusual behaviour. Most smartglass stuff is scripted, not generated in real time. I think SMS would have to consider a Return On Investment about it. Would you guys be interested in paying for it?
To be precise here, PCars allows to get rid of the arms AND wheel. If the Wheel has a display with crucial information, only the arms will be removed.
Not happy about that at all. It will just add inconsistency to the game for those who wanna hide the wheel in every car. I need a 3rd option SMS!
