Not happy about that at all. It will just add inconsistency to the game for those who wanna hide the wheel in every car. I need a 3rd option SMS!

The information carried on the wheel can be pretty essential in some cases. iRacing does it in the exact same way and while the info on the dash of a V8SC might not be all that important, in an Indycar or F1, you'd be flying blind in many ways...

Regardless, it should be the players choice. I would choose to drive with in car view & the wheel & arms hidden. Can't do that if I'm gonna be forced to see the wheel in some cars.

:(

The video in question is only 30fps for the record. And he said he watched it in 1440p, but I'd lay odds his monitor is only 1080p:lol:
iam not daft. i watched on my 4k panel using the 1440p option which was the highest available. thats why i questioned the quality of the graphics

If you take a close look at GT6's transparency effects, you'll see that they are really bad. This is however a common problem on the PS3. Many other games have been forced to use the same low-quality solution too, even if higher quality effects are easy to make for other platforms.

Shadow resolution in GT6 is also really poor.

Here's a proper nerd question for those with the game already (if it's already been asked then I apologise): Is it possible to replace the fictional liveries in the game with real-world ones? I'm not talking about having the fictional ones and community-made real skins side by side, I mean getting rid of the fictional ones altogether and having only real-world paintjobs in the game.

Thanks :)

You can have 1 custom livery on each car. So if you are racing solo, then yes, if you add AI, no. Obviously this is PC only. Consoles don't support custom livery.

however for the pc guys there is a wurth grp 5 capri livery which has been okayed, if i remember correctly. So thats semi official.

I think I'll do just that. It's a feature I wish more console games had. USB keyboards aren't exactly rare and expensive accessories. They don't even have to be big, a simple usb numpad would give you 17 extra keys and not be larger than your palm. Perfect size to put in a sim rig.

Lets say i would not be surprised if keyboards on consoles are supported.

Naturally. There is just so much you can fit into 256MB VRAM.

As for keyboard support, GT6 technically support them, but you still can't use it to control things while you drive, only in replay mode. Hopefully there will be full support in pcars.

I kindly asked SMS if the Wii U version would be getting the DLC cars on Twitter but they felt fit to simply keep retweeting those piling on the praise and replying to them before my silly question got answered.

Can anyone answer this by any chance? :)

A good start with automatic transmission: as I just have a brake and a throttle, what's the best way to get away fast? Do I just press the throttle when the light goes green or do I ref the engine up and then letting go of the brake?! Does it depend on weather conditions?! Like when it's wet, using just the throttle carefully? Any suggestions?!
