A lttle more perspective:

The buttons on my controller do not work except for X. I set the others to KERS, change view, and look back and they're not working.

Also my mirrors are all gray with no reflections.

Had a quick play before bed, first impressions are excellent, had a go at karts and then did a quick clio cup race at Laguna Seca, it feels good but I have yet to get everything setup how I want it, can't wait to throw a few hours at it over the weekend, get it setup right, dial a bit more feedback into my wheel and then go racing!

Did you notice a drop in sound at the top of the engine revs in the Clio? Trying it in free run with just me on track there's definitely a loss of engine noise.

2 words it's awesome. Not gonna lie I had the free Internet version and damn what a big jump from then to now. I always had faith it was gonna be awesome and you WMD guys sure did deliver. Thanks for making an awesome sim. Now who wants to race some mp on steam?

First few laps. 50km with the BMW 1M at Donnington Park and 65km with the Clio Cup at Hockenheim Short, ending on rain.

Game feels good. Not as harcore as Assetto Corsa, but not too far.

Still need to spend some time with the ffb tuning, but now it's time to go to bed. 1:30 am allready :(

Sorry but if you are going to release a game on consoles, you gotta get the controls right. Forza and GT have great controls so it can be done. Hopefully SMS can improve it but as it currently stands the XB1 version is in for some harsh criticism.
I use a wheel for the most part but have tested pCARS with an Xbox controller from time to time over that past couple of years. If I can drive pCARS with a gamepad anyone can. I think it's just as capable as a gamepad in GT and Forza, but I was never a big gamer (racing only mainly) so it could come down to familiarity. If you are a heavy PS or Xbox gamepad gamer it could take a little time to get use to pCARS only because it may feel different, not necessarily better or worst.

Have you tried the different modes in the controller options? Have you played with the sensivity options?

On PS4, I find mode 2 (default) much too twitchy as well and after some testing and tinkering I now use Mode 3 with steering sensivity reduced to 35, speed sensivity reduced to 60 and countersteering aid enabled under "advanced" and I can control LMP1s without aids on pro mode just fine.

First impressions are its absolutely stunning:D

Although that statement is based on one track and one car which is all I've been able to use due to the painfully slow download speed from psn:crazy: ( still 10gb to go....) got lots of practice in the LMP1 @ Dubai

Its very very smooth and looks beautiful but the ghosting is there in certain situations but by no means a mess and not off putting at all....

Playing on a T300 GTE with T3PA Pedals and they both work unbelievably well BUT so many options to adjust half of which I have no idea what they do and one annoying thing is it seems I have to calibrate the wheel manually every time the game is started.... hope this is sorted when the download completes or they patch it if not...

Apart from that really am over the moon and highly recommend:gtpflag:

Last time I ever preorder from ebgames NZ - it's 1pm on the 7th and my order status has just gone from processing to packed - they haven't even sent it yet!! I'll be lucky if I get it tomorrow now and if not then it won't be delivered until Monday. If that's the case then it's the last purchase I make from them ever! :grumpy:

I need some help from you guys with fresh installations as I can't tell one thing from the other on my end... what's the install size and is there anything additional?

Patches, etc. I need exact sizes.

PS4 Project cars : 19.904GB
Day 1 patch : 817MB
4GB initial download to actually start the game if playing digital download although this gives very little access 1 car 1 track for me.
Total size on HDD : 20.45GB
Is this what you want to know ?

It'll likely be the 12th. Same here in Aus due to the Sydney warehouse flooding. Some reported getting emails from EBGames (I got one from JB Hi-Fi) confirming this.

Temporary turncoat = create UK PSN account.
I may be wrong but if you're planning on buying it on that account I'm not sure it will work. I know it didn't used to work for UK people trying to make US accounts to use their store. It recognises the country of your credit/debit card and refuses any from the wrong country.

I usually order from Mighty Ape, they are usually the best when it comes to getting you your stuff on release day.
I'm on Steam with my PC now so dont use them too much, but would still highly recommend Mighty Ape before anyone else.

You're correct about country of credit card, but there's a workaround. Purchase Redeem Codes from cdkeys to fill up UK PSN wallet. I've been playing Pcars tonight... in US... on May 6.
