I defiantly seen it in the audio options somewhere. Don't think you can change it not to come out the speaker. Can only turn him on/off completely
they really should add that as an option, along with removing the subtitles. I play wth the wheel so he comes out of my headphones.

New guy here. Been a lurker on this forum for a couple of months now, decided to register today, in anticipation to the mail man to deliver my precious copy of Project Cars. Been awake early waiting for the damn delivery haha. Reading some posts here makes it even harder to wait, so frustrating. Happy gaming guys!

Can a WMD member please tell me how to delete my profile and graphics config files? Been searching the WMD forums but couldn't find anything.
Thanks

Alot of people give GT stick but SMS should have looked at their lobby/online options.

GT is much better imo :(

Thank you. So the 'your steam folder part' is that accessed through steam? And are they literally folders that I delete? Sorry I really don't know much about computers.

Well, I was going to get this today and buy the PS4 next week, but after hearing about the online and the fact that playing with a DS4 is damn hard, I'm holding off buying this until I can comfortably afford it, and when I have less school work. I'm a hardcore racer (even though I don't have a wheel) and thought this would be the game. Guess I'll have to wait for a month or so, until then, I shall play GT or ToCa 3.

Sounds good though. WMD memebers must have the best feeling ever waking up to all this positive feedback. Job well done! :)👍

I have started practice run, selected Nordschleife, clear weather, only me on the track (190E DTM) - PS4 went into super loud mode. Other game, that pushed my PS4 fans noticeably louder, was DriveClub with rain but it wasn`t even close to this. It`s like a vacuum cleaner behind the TV.
And what will happen with full grid multiplayer session? :scared:
My PS4 ran Driveclub silently, regardless of weather condition. Far Cry 4 got the fans going slightly louder though, as did RIDE. How's the airflow? Does your PS4 stand vertically?

Hopefully mine will remain quite. Will have to move it to a more spacious place just to be sure.

Well I'll be picking up the preorder tommorow (hopefully) and smashing it out for a few hours. Can't wait.

No I won't! Stopped by the store and they advised they can't let me have it now till tommorow. (Was promised and early pick up).

See you later... :)

Can you elaborate on this?

Gran Turismo 6 did have a rather good set of lobby options, with more options available than Forza Motorsport 4 (which was a very good game for online play). I'm curious as to what issues you're specifically having with the lobby options in Project CARS since I'd be spending over 90% of my time in multiplayer.

My PS4 have a lot of space from all sides, no limited airflow. Vertically, yes. Rarely used, maybe 50 hours clocked since January.
But i`m not gonna limit my racing time because of it - when it melts then it melts

Good to see it has been recieved so well 👍

Seems that PCARS has set the benchmark for Motorsport on the PS4.

Racing genre is looking at a bright future and maybe E-Sports can finally push through this time to a larger audience.

If i can make a small remark: would like to see lots more touring, TC2000, TN3, BTCC, TCR type of cars.

Nice to read there is so much happiness and joy around here:)

It's nearly midnight but I have a friend over just to try out pCARS with me... see ya tomorrow

So, first impressions from late last night...

My friend, who also bought pCARS but will only have the chance to play it by himself in June as he's on vacation in Portugal (he has his PC back in Switzerland where he works 10 months out of a year), came by so we could do some hotlapping with a few cars, all of them with assists set to Real and we used clutch when available.
First we ran some 12-15 laps each in Donington with a Ford Escort. He shared a lot of spins, going wide on corner exits, lock-ups approaching corners, but none the less we had a lot of fun with that car.
Second, we ran some 10 laps each in Hockenheim with a Focus RS, where we were mostly surprised by how good the car braked. We ended up sharing some laughs when he blew the engine twice while downshifting before the hairpin (first time he mistakingly selected 1st instead of 3rd, while second time he selected 2nd instead of 4th).
To finish things up, we ran some 6 laps in Spa with a McP1. Even with traction control (again, Real assists on), the car kept trying to get out of shape whenever we tried going full throttle on cold tyres but on warm tyres the car was a blast to drive. Also I have to say that judging by the way the car braked, I'm pretty sure that even though there's no wing animation, the aerodynamic braking is represented in the physics for that particular car.

To wrap things up, we both felt this is a game that we'll be playing for a really long time (most probably years instead of months).

I am very much looking forward to spending a bit more time with the game this evening, and then over the rest of the weekend.

Can any WMD members shed any light on there being an official pCars forum hosted anywhere, I am thinking something along the lines of ForzaMotorsport.net with dedicated subsections for organised racing, sharing photos, livery files etc etc. Is this something that is being planned or is it likely to be something that is community run like GTPlanet?

Edit: Originally posted this before the subforums were added here, if there are enough regular users here then we may not need it!
