I really like the Z4 GT3, not a fan of the SLS but not tried the others, imagine the RUF is ass out crazy but I may try the Aston. Got bored of R8s in GT and have no interest in the Ginetta as it's not really a real car :odd:

What are you talking about? The Ginetta GT3 is a real car and running in the UK GT3 championship, among others.

I finally got it!

My first impressions have been that it's tough to drive, and you really need to take your time. You can't rush it. I tried to do a quick Ginetta race, and failed miserably.
Some advice. If you are on a wheel, pick one car and a familiar track and just drive and tune the FFB in and get used to the physics. Something like one of the Ariel Atoms is a good start, the S/C or Mugen. Oversteery, lots of power, not too much grip, reactive and responsive and good FFB through the wheel. If you are on a controller I'd still do the same, tuning in your controls and figuring out how the car reacts to inputs etc. Go slow. Every car acts and feels differently and it's not as easy to jump from one car to the next as it is in GT for example. It's like a fine wine, to be enjoyed in small sips, with a nice Cuban cigar, watching a sunset in Aruba. Oh wait..sorry, you're an American...no Cubans for you:sly:

As promised in the career discussion thread, I have attached a spreadsheet with a list of all noted championships within the Career dashboard for those wishing to keep track of their progress.

:)
Nice:cheers: You should put it up on the Career Mode thread as well.:)

So I drove the Ginetta's...the G40 is a fun little machine that is just epic. The G55 GT4 is quick and fun, with a great sound track. The G55 GT3...HOLY 🤬 I LOVE THAT ENGINE! SMS nailed that engine, it's so loud...and I mean LOUD. It's like a cousin of the Z4 GT3. Those shifts doe...oh my God those shifts! It's a GT3 car that is quite raw. I was loving racing it...until I blew up the engine on lap 4. :boggled: To add to that I blew the engine of the Marek LMP1 at Spa on lap 6/10. :banghead: The Ginetta was my fault I think but the Marek was....not sure. Maybe it was a busted radiator or something.

Had a great race at Road America with the Aston GT3 finishing 3rd though. :D

Maybe he meant that he isn't interested because there is no road legal (non-racy) version of it in real life like all the other GT3.

Sorry, I did mean that, looks like there is a road car version tho but for whatever reason it still just doesn't appeal to me.

Guess it's just not as glamorous as it's rivals!

No one is going to want to watch someone playing in chase cam with driving line and all assists on though, and you can't keep the car on the track for more than 10 seconds.

No offence.
I don't have all assists and when I made this video I didn't know how to turn off the driving line.

After the first few crashes. .. I mean turns; "break in a straight line. Break in a straight line. Break in a straight line" has become my mantra.
I love using the RUF, because its a Porsche. I've been using this and this as my livery.

I started with the Audi (got me 4 wins online so far), but since Monday I've been using the Ruf as well, also with the WEC livery... ;)

PS: Keeping on WEC topic, I made a livery request on pCARS forum for a Toyota livery for the Marek and a Porsche livery for the RWD, and someone has already picked up on both. So, hopefully we won't have to wait for long for those :D

That awakward moment when you're just about to stick it on pole in multiplayer, but the timer runs out when you're a second away from the line.

And then naturally get put right at the back of the grid and proceed to get smashed to pieces.

Oh, that has happened to me a few times. It genuinely pisses me off. I wish there was a solution to that.

Given this game is meant to be a racing simulator, it baffles me that we're not able to complete our final lap when the chequered flag is shown... surely it's not that hard to add a similar timer to practice/qualifying sessions as the one we get at the end of a race...

There are quite a few things missing yet to make it a truely immersive racing sim. Proper qualifiying is only one of them.
A virtual mechanic/race engineer for career mode giving you tips for setups on specific tracks and developing a proper pit strategy would be another.
SMS rightly aimed for realism by taking out the grind for prize money and XPs, but a racer doing all the work on a race weekend himself isn't realistic, either. There's only so much you can figure out on your own in a 30 minute practice session.
I mean, you don't even get hints on weather forecast or recquired amount of fuel.

I figured out my issue. I don't have internet at my house so I have to take it over to my grandparents house two doors down. The dlc cars were there when I was connected and even when I disconnected but when I closed the application brought it to my house and turned it on the content was gone. Has this issue been addressed if not it should.
