Invisible walls you say?

I remember the first time this happened to me. I was driving the Clio in a career race and hit an invisible wall at Donnington. The car came to a complete stop with the rear of the car off the ground. The car behind me drove right underneath my car, which pitched me onto my roof. My initial thought was "oh dearie me, that's not gone well. " I found it pretty funny, mainly because its only happened that one time.

Talking about invisible walls, I love that Sonoma (infinion still sounds better) has so much freedom. I was on free practice just exploring the grounds of that track as if it was skyrim or witcher. However, I was disappointed with the fence around willow springs infield

Does anyone else think racing in the rain is absolutely fake? I'm at zolder in the rain, and my telemmitry is telling me I'm only using 20hp under a small amount of throttle and the car goes into an uncontrollable spin at only 2 mph. What is with that? I know what a car in the rain will do at 20 HP and its not going to spin.... Could it be type of tires? (Sierra group a, zolder)

Edit. Never mind... I may have had some serious suspension damage at the time... Went back to pit and came out the car is fine

HP is not relevant, torque is and it then depends on what tyres you have on, what temp they are, and how that applies to each corner.

The wrong cold, race tyre on standing water from heavy rain has bugger all grip at all, so it is possible to loose it. I've not done it at speeds that low in that car and on that track, but as I say that depends on the tyre.

I almost lost the GT5 championship yesterday. In the first race at the Donington GP circuit I came last and in the second I came first. I won the championship, but I was on equal points with the guy in second:boggled:

When i left the farm and joined the noblemen in the castle i payed 700 euros for a GTX960, i5 PC pre-assembled by someone on Ebay. It eats a PS4 for breakfast and the Xbone for lunch.

This comparison is using 2 gtx970 with consoles. Reflection is only considerable thing I could notice. Other stuff is pretty good in PS4

I don't really see the point of the safety car in a game to be honest. The only time safety cars are used in real life is if a car gets stuck or debris is on the track. In pCars you can't get stuck and I've never seen random debris on the track.

I've seen an Escort lost one wheel and stayed in the middle of the track.

At Watkins Glen (which I love) the impact barrier tubs from the pit wall got strewn over the start finish straight and stayed for the whole 15 lap race.

I honestly didn't mean to kick off a futile console vs PC debate, especially in the General Discussion thread. Are you sure that YouTube compression isn't disguising some of the PC goodness? Heaven knows the FM5 vids I've seen come nowhere close to capturing the image quality of even that game.

I'll try using clipconverter.cc to download this video in full 1080p/60fps and make up my own mind but I'm sceptical that people are spending hundreds of £/$/€ for next to no improvement.

Yours, XB1 console peasant ;)

Me too, pleased to meet you :D Add me as a friend if you like, gamertag in my signature đź‘Ť
Hi there, I'm pretty sure you're already in my Friends list but will check again. We serfs have to stick together, it's feudal out there. ;)

Things just got crazy in here. :scared:

What tire wear does somebody recommend for a scaled down race? Like a race that's only 30 or 40 minutes?

I was just about to throw in the towel with the "not saving car setups glitch"

I was so excited to do the classic group a cars but every single time no matter what I did the game reset the BMW not to the default setup, but something with absolutely haywire settings.

All is well, I've found my love again in gt4 :D

But seriously, I need this glitch fixed over any dlc, any new stuff at all, or any other glitch.

Well dang...the Alpine (Oreca) LMP2 is temperamental, blew the engine and I didn't think I was pushing it. Can't wait to accept that previous WEC Mclaren GT3 offer I got. Get back in GT before this LMP2 ruins my swag lol. :P

Funny thing is that the Oreca is better when it comes to cooling...Alpine what did you do?!

It's pretty shocking how fragile the cooling systems in this game can be. Even Touhou-style grazing somebody tends to eventually result in tragedy...
