I drove the lotus 72D for the first time a few days ago at willow springs and my god I love that car/track combination. It was only a quick 5 lap race with the AI on 80% difficulty. One day probably this weekend I'm going to sit down and do a 35 lap race there with 90% AI difficulty:)

My new favorite track combo thanks to the Historic TC2 career invitational: Hustling ze Merc 300 SEL Red Pig around Oulton Park. Feels like tightrope walking with a hippo, such much fun! :D
After these historical invitationals (where you get to drive the old Escort) I have not had much sympathetic feelings for that thing... Did not even drive it yet (must be the only one).

Jacks new FFB settings are great! I tried a few cars this morning and they are an improvement on already good settings. If you use jack spades FFB make sure to give the new 2.0 ones a go.

**Oh also, can someone drive the M1 pro car around Laguna Seca and see if they feel a grinding in the steering around 45mph? I never felt it before patch 3.0

Edit- Well I solved it but have not completely figured out.. thought I did. All I know is the v1.7 jack spade setting for the M1 Pro Car does not have the bad feeling that I get with the v2.0. Will mess with it again tomorrow and see what I can figure out.

That piece of BS PR talk is the only thing I really took a bit of offense with. But still, none of the points that wowbagger brought up apply. Especially the greed thing makes no sense. If they just would have been like "Ah screw it, its as good as it needs to be, lets not put any more time and effort (= money) into it and just profit!" why would they keep releasing massive patches and updates? They are getting very little back for that in monetary terms.

And frankly, looking at wowbaggrs post from tonight, it makes me think of this here, hard:

So your argument is that they are releasing patches, ergo the rushed release isn't something that diserves criticism? Do you honestly think that wouldn't pCARS be better of if SMS had taken more time to fix things?

The greed makes perfect sense to me, it's a business and I don't see anything wrong with a company trying to making money. What I do see as something wrong is a company not being trully honest whilst doing it.

As I said, the greed, or let's say the hurry to put the game on the market to star making money on it, is a perfect explanation to the very low QA standards at launch. Or could SMS afford to delay the release some more? Bandai wasn't making pressure?

And watching the Louis CK clip, I'm thinking that I should be thankful because pCARS crashed my PS4 two times this morning.

After a clean re-install and two new clips on the way towards Sony.

No, my argument is that you dont know the whole story, so you shouldnt be slanging around such strong words. Criticizing SMS for the state pcars was/is in is perfectly fine and valid, but you re doing a bit more than that. Including starting to twist my words, so I ll just step away from this conversation now.

Miss you guys. Hows it goin. Zaks, see your still ripping up the leader boards!!!! Hey spooky, you still racing in snl league? Can anyone join.

Yeah I still do SNL, I think there are spaces, there's a thread in the Online section. Also do a lot of racing with the CRAPpers, haven't raced in a pubic lobby for a long time now.:)
You should come and race with us sometime, we could do with a few more 'Mericans to even out the time zones a bit.
There's no drama anymore either.

I love Oulton Park, it's a really intense track. Cannot get on with Cadwell at all though.

So I was playing with the FFB back again this morning on the classic race cars. These classic race cars (M1 pro car, Stock Car, ZackSpeed Ford Capri) have a grinding feeling for me that is related to the Fx FFB value. I do not have this problem with the modern race cars (BMW GT4, Formula A, BMW Z4 GT3) or the road cars. See the videos below for an example. - To remove the feeling I had to lower Fx and dampen it. - On the official forum someone said to verify the camber, I will check tomorrow but seems weird that the stock tunes would have this issue? I have not changed the tunes for these cars - bust just in case I will reset them to default tomorrow and try again.

Here is the link showing the high grinding with Fx at 100 -

Here is the video showing it reduced with Fx at 60 with .2 dampening -

Phew, switched from to controller to G29 few days ago and I am having blast, it's complete game changer. I am still struggling in many cars, but it is slowly coming together as I am really enjoying precision and overall performance. However handling cars like Lotus 98T seems to be out of my league at the moment. :) Even with the latest tweaks, this thing is out of control. Truth is I had a hard time even with controller.

It is not the easiest car either. Don't worry, you'll master it ;)

Yeah my ego took a bigger portion than it could handle. :) I have to work on throttle control as I am too harsh on gas and its easy to spin out, which just happened with BMW 320 Turbo. Good thing is that everything makes sense and mistakes can be easily read and fixed.

You always have to be aware of when that Turbo kicks in as you can lose the back end easily in 1-3rd, especially when the car isn't perfectly balanced. With a wheel and pedals you have to roll on the throttle to get the revs up but sometimes not so much that you engage the full torque and power of the engine to maintain traction. You'll get the hang of it.

AI driving with headlights, you can even see them in the mirror, reflections on track too.
Some cars even have yellow headlights.
PCars is getting nicer almost every day :P
I didn't spot that in the patch notes. Does that count for rain and fog?
