I wonder how the whole Road/Oval thing will work. Will the game choose it automatically? I ask this with the career mode in mind. :P

I've read that it'll just be two cars (Chevy and Honda) and the bodykits and physics automatically change based on the track you're on. You'd never see the oval car at a typical circuit or vice versa.

That would be a bit lame. Would feel quite bizarre jumping between Chevy and Honda cars over the span of a season. :irked:

FINALLY! Now they're making that IndyCar license promise to good use! Although, where's Indianapolis...?

The oval portion of Indianapolis was already quite far developped and driveable ingame when they had to take out the ovals to focus on the tracks for release (and before anybody boohoos: Not to milk us but because they couldnt get it all done for release, just not enough time and manpower - all other ovals were half finished or less).

The AI are real bastards this time round. They cut the track, cut you off and drive through your car.
That distorts your vision and you can end up off track, into a wall or another car. :irked:

I set them to 60%. Im afraid anything 70% or higher would result in drive by shootings.

60% is the sweet spot for me,mint annoys me how aggressive they are during qualifying.

Aggressive AI during practice session may be a more legitimate complaint. During qualifying, they are trying to get fastest lap times. Like the real world, your best strategy is to get on track when AI is on the other side of the track. I've had plenty of clean runs at 80% AI.

I think AI has improved after 2.0 and again after 3.0.

Pressed the 'PS' Button on my Dualshock 4 to go to the dash. Only to come back and find that it hadn't paused the game as it normally does and I'd trundled out of the pits to a stop and the AI was on the last lap. Fortunately the championship was already in the bag.

I deleted my profile save after the patch installed and did a hard reboot (X1) per recommendations

Liking the smaller increments for AI adjustment. 75% seems to be good for me in the Clio's atm

Frame rate is looking very solid now and the game seems overall very stable

Imo its now it the state it should have been upon release. Yep, very enjoyable now 👍

ps. That Scottish highlands track looks great, I hope we get it

Yes I have started playing again since patch 3.0 (I had given up for a while). Playing a LOT.

I also deleted my profile & started form scratch. The FFB is better. The AI are less stupid. The driving feel is fantastic on everything that I have tried since patch 3.0.

The best of all bit, is that I am now able to setup a quick race, have some (really) decent, exciting racing without encountering problems everytime.

I have fallen in love again, which meant I could also go and buy the DLC now too. :)
