Guess that doesn't apply to 45/30/20/15 minute races then? so which means they do pit if the race is over 1 hour long.

I don't know about 45 minute races but when it is 30 minutes or shorter, nobody will stop in my experience. If you still want a mandatory pitstop, just do what McKiernan suggested above. ;)

That game had the potential to be the best driving/racing game of its generation imo

The handling was terribly wonky though. Content was epic however

I say had they figured out the handling model correcting the excessuve understeer and snap oversteerand giving measurements for tuning steps the game would ahve been much higher recieved, as it stands now though its still buggy and feels like a tech demo

I just finally got round to getting the Audi Ruapuna DLC....ive got to say its worth it alone for the R8 LMP!! One of the best cars ive driven in the game, and during my Oulton Park tests, was the only car that got me a sub 50 second lap apart from the Formula A of course.

The e-tron is very nice aswell, but suffers from bad visibility in cockpit view, much like the other Audi LMP1.

Here is my lap in the R8,it couldve been faster as i took the final corner a bit conservatively....

Is this worth $20.00 on the Xbox one? Have most of the bugs been taken care of? Is there much online racing, or is the lobby a ghost town?

Is it just me and some kind of connection problem or is there never anybody playing online? When I first started playing a couple months ago, there were at least a dozen multiplayer sessions each time I checked, but recently: "No multiplayer sessions found to join!".

Felt like an idiot today. Just found out there are kart tracks that indeed exclusive to the karts (Summerton, etc). I'm always selecting track first then the cars. I ussually do my kart thing on Snetterton and Stowe.

Guys i need help understanding gear shifting. Now don't get me wrong i know how to Play and Drive in games like PC. But i have always wonder if my shifting is right or am i shifting to early in the gear?

Made a short video simple on how i normally shift

or am i just over thinking it and it really doesn't matter :indiff:

So I finally got around to trying this game! And for the love of God/Allah/Buddha/Vishnu/Jesus/Rachard Dawkins, why did it take me so long?! Excellent game!
Now I've only been playing it for around 10 hours, but loving every minut of it! Now I know it's not fair to compare a ps3 game to a ps4 game, but in many ways Project Cars just feels like everything Gran Turismo should be, by now! (admitted, I haven't played GT6 at all, so things may have changed since GT5)

Only problem is, it's going to cost me more money. I'm probably gonna have to get my hands on a steering wheel again, this game kind of requires it. I've actually already bid on a Logitech G29.

I have one question though. When doing some races, I get updates from the chief mechanic. But the message is written on the screen, instead of said out loud. How do I change this? It tends to distract me from driving when I try to read it. Which is a bit ironic, since every so often he says something along the lines of
"You're doing really well, keep it up. Dont loose focus"
Well STOP texting me then! :)

Quite agree. I had more fun in the Clio championship in PCars than I did in GT5 and 6 put together.

I know that feeling, I bought a T150 and Playseat Challenge because of PCars, but it does get good use with Seb Loeb Rally and will get more with AC and Dirt Rally in the next few months.

Switch him off and get the Crew Chief app, does a much better job of acting as a mechanic and also acts as a spotter for you (and is invaluable for that). One of the great things about PC on consoles is we now get to run outside apps, I use PCars Dash and Crew Chief on android and vrHive on PC for recording telemetry.

Sounds interesting. I'll give it a look. Thanks :)

You can shift later I tink. I don't know about the exact performance data of the car and therefore not about the ideal shifting point, but you can go closer the red line.

annoyingly you can't get rid of the text box unless you go to the options and turn the pit engineer off completely. It doesn't make sense. Also I think as default his audio comes through the pad unless you change your pad settings in the PS home settings (IIRC), but as said above, it's far better to silence him completely and run the crew chief app either from a nearby PC/laptop or through an android device. It's so much better.

Well there it is i finally hate the 2014 Audi R18 e-tron quattro 🤬:yuck: Cant win a damn race with this car no matter what do. Just now did a race against just one opponent and i still lost

Arh, that explains why I can't hear him. I have volume for that, turned all the way down.
So did I and his audio then came through my amp (TV audio out), not sure why yours doesn't. I'll take a look at my settings later and see if anything else needs doing.

Maybe I don't have it turned completely off, just really really low :)

Bout time you got you act together buddy

Hello everybody.
I mostly play arcade racing games, except for a short time I played NFS Shift.
Now, after a year playing Driveclub I decided that I want something more connected with motorsport.
I now play Project cars with a dualshock 4 and enjoy it. I'm thinking it is time for me to make next step and try to play with a manual gear, but, unfortunately, I won't have an opportunity to purchase the wheel in the nearest future.
So my question is does it worth it to learn manual gearbox gameplay with dualshock, or it doesn't make any sense?

I always used to play manual even with a pad, things like Forza or even PGR to an extent. Well worth doing as you'll still get all the benefits from manual shifting as you would with a wheel. Plus it's another level of immersion which is always good when gaming.

Same here, even with a pad I've always used manual.

Ok, thank you guys. Just wanted to make sure I won't waste my time trying to do the impossible.
Tried it today with some not so fast Renaults and worked ok for me. I think I'll eventually get used to it and will be able to use manual gearbox with faster cars as well.
