No i havnt...whats the general rule? Say for a LMP1 in endurance?
there is not really a general rule, except lowering pressure for almost all cars in dry conditions. The default pressure is too high, which leads to tires not reaching optimal temperature.
Personally I have not encountered big issues with the wet tires yet. No overheating. I rarely change the pressure for the wets...
Tire behaviour has changed over the patches though.
Best is to test drive and check, that is what I do, since it also depends on track temperature, car, used tires, brake duct settings... Just e.g.

Ok thanks. The weird thing was in the first 8 or so laps in the dry the tyres werent overheating..staying at bright green.

But then when i changed back to drys after inters they were overheating after a few laps, something they werent doing before..which leads me to think its a glitch of some sort.

Have you checked your pitstop strategy ? If you don't change tire pressure there, that may have caused the issue...

So i was racing online last night with these guys that got like a indycar league going on and oh my god it was such a good race. We was racing at road America doing 31 laps. The tire wear was set to i think x3 and over the long run my car just felt so great on old tires compare to the competition. I ran 3rd for most of the race. At the start i fell like two positions from 4th which was my starting spot. But started to work my way back up and like i said got to 3rd. I went from 8 seconds back to 2 seconds by the time the first pit stop came. Came out third and spun because the tires was just so cold. Just lost control of the car. Then i made a lot of time up again and we pitted. I came out first and then the race became a fuel mileage race. But guess what....... A lap car 🤬 my race up and i had suspension damage. So my race was done. Not to mentioned i spun out two more times and also ran out of fuel coming out of the last corner. :banghead: But yea im looking forward to racing those guys again. That was a blast racing them last night:)

Anyone think PCars could have to remove the FA cars now?

Also anyone had micro updates on certain DLC's and community livery packs over last few days?

I think because of the copyright issue going on with another sim, but I don't remember the name. I don't think the FA is an issue since it's fictional, and not calling itself an F1 car in an F1 series.

Yes but my friend with it on PC has loads of real life F1 liveries downloaded at cost I assume and SMS clearly have the FA as an F1 car even of fictional.
Not sure how it so vastly different to what Rezieza (sic) are doing really. Someone modded an Audi GT3 car into PCars with no license and SMS endorsed it on their official forum!

Ive gone back again to the Clio Cup to do it on 100% distance and 85% AI .....fantastic racing.
The below video is me battling for 3rd at Donington, this is what racing is all about, fighting the guy in front while the guy behind is also fighting me,putting in consistent laps while racing on the edge, and its swings and roundabouts for a few laps until i finally get past. This is where the game really shines imo.

On lap 11 i do a great overtake to get 3rd but then the 5th placed guy comes through and takes both of us! This is where they really got the AI right, here. The 2nd race i actually won by 2 seconds,as i got more used to driving the track in the Clio again.

A few Things

1 Why do helicopters fly when you pick thunderstorms/rain/storm???

2 why don't the lights on the side of the LMPs lightup?

3 When you pick night racing why do they use the 2011 Palmer Jaguar JP LM? car has no lights so its kinda silly when you run up to it at night

Note this are not complains

Lock if old :embarrassed:

I'm really thinking about getting a wheel. Idk why but i been wanting one lately. Now before all of you start to recommend me a wheel.....im not buying a a $300 wheel or anything like that. I'm gonna start off with something like around $100 like the PlayStation wheel. Now my older brother has that wheel but doesn't use it. So i asked him can i have it and he said it wasn't working the last time he try to use it. He said he gotta see if it works again because he hasn't used it since like December. So idk if I'm gonna have his. I used a wheel before. When he first bought that wheel he brought it by and let me test it out. I used the formula c car and did great and i did great with the gt3 bmw z4. But i used the gt4 mustang and i struggled. So i think i won't be bad overall whenever i do get a wheel. Another reason i want a wheel is because Assetto corsa is coming in June. I wanna get it before then.

Keep your money and save for the 300 dollar one!!!

i know a few people who have the cheap one, they do great btw.
But the feeling of the 300 dollar is really a lot better...
and i know how much you play racing games, it is worth it!!!

I'll see. I'm just trying challenge myself more. I'm really great with a controller and i wanna see if i can be equally as great with a wheel.

So while looking around at the Add-on content for this game, I read that the Aston Martin one has two of the cars with contracts in career mode. Out of curiosity, do these packs have any cars that add contracts to career mode?

- Japanese Car Pack
- Audi Ruapana Park Expansion
- Renault Sport Car Pack
- US Race Car Pack

Haven't really made up that far in Career so not really sure.

What about the Japanese Car Pack or the Audi Ruapana Expansion? I've got my career set towards LMP1 so I'd like to know if I could expect a contract to drive the Toyota TS030 or the Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro.

I fired this up again just to see what has changed and to check out the new GT3 cars. I can't believe what a huge piece of crap it still is. Spent all this time qualifying, P4, then my car spawns for the race on top of someone else's car in the back of the pack, lands facing the pit wall, and it gave me a drive through penalty for jumping the start. Unbelievable.

You can expect contracts for these cars, yes...

Well thanks to DiRT rally.............

Why?

Because it's taken some of the pressure off PCars as being the only racing/driving game I can't put down. It was a tough crown for any game to have to bear let alone a fantastic but flawed one in many ways.
So whilst i'm obsessing with DiRT and its fantastic career mode I can use PCars for things like yesterday inbetween watching BTCC on TV i was setting up 10 min races with 100% AI on Donington National, in Clio's, Ginetta GT4's, BMW M3's, RUF GT3 and retro touring cars.... awesome stuff, loved every moment of it. PCars at its very best.
Thanks DiRT!

Quick question, what tire pressures do others run for GT3's and GT4's? I've been running around the 2.00-2.10 mark. Guess I might as well also ask about Indycar tire pressures as well, no idea what I'm doing there.

I would avoid the T80 at all costs ,just not built robustly enough for an adult ,The T150 is a decent wheel but The T300 is the only wheel built for the ps4 that can be upgraded in the same way a fanatec wheel can ,well worth paying the extra $ for IMO
