You are definitely missing out then, no offense but I'll never understand people who are that picky about frame rate.If pcars had a stable frame rate I'd get.. But it doesn't so il never play it.

just 2-4 lap races
Are Endurance races in every series then? So instead of doing 3 lap races in hot hatch series we can choose to do 10-20-30 laps?Im not very far into FM6, but I have had races up to 7 laps in single player so far. Endurance racing, as stated by @SlipZtrEm already (which people seem to be ignoring), is back in FM6. Plus in free play and in a custom multiplayer room, you can set the race length up to 50 laps if you so choose.

In offline free play races can you choose the car for each AI opponent? Or an option for all AI opponents to use the same car the player is using?... you can make races as long as you'd like in either Free Run or Online mode,
I've had the game since launch and have still hardly driven any cars, 450 would be insane! The physics are so good it makes you find a car you like and you'll just drive it for days and days until you want to start tuning another then rinse and repeat. Yes there are definitely issues, but the sheer joy of driving in pCARS is like no game I've played before.I don't think Project Cars is as good as advertised. The classes are terrible, the car list is way to small, the options are far and few in between and the game isn't optimized at all.
As far as the content goes, what you say can only be true if they advertised content that they didn't deliver at launch, as promised. Since the car list was known before launch, it is as good as advertised in that regard. And the game is also optimized everywhere as far as I know. Perhaps you meant is full of bugs and glitches which is not the same thing as optimized. 1080p/60fps, 45 cars on track and full weather tells you it's optimized.I don't think Project Cars is as good as advertised. I'm on console, Xbox One specifically. As far as the content goes, what you say can only be true if they advertised content that they didn't deliver at launch, as promised. Maybe il own a good enough PC one day to really get the most out the pcars engine..but on XB1 it's forza all day.
It's pretty solid now on PS4 framerate wise, I'd say. Replays a bit wobbly and trackside detail kinda flat in order to (try to) achieve 60fps though.Sometimes I wonder whether that's what it comes down to. I only have Project Cars for the Xbox One. I've hardly played it. Whenever I play it I just can't get into it (and things go wrong). I honestly don't understand why people think it's so good. Unless, of course, they're all playing the PC version, or at least not the Xbox One version?
The physics are identical on all versions of the game, the only difference is in graphics and it takes a decent pc to exceed the console versions of the game. I'd guess the pc version probably runs better overall, but bugs aside, the experience should be the same. In my case it's the badly fluctuating frame rate on Xbone that makes it unplayable for me. The game seems to slow down and lurch forward repeatedly. I also have the PC version which has none of these issues and is a lot more playable (although it appears to be missing the comparative lap timer which was so useful for me on XB1). But it's been gathering dust now that I'm getting stuck into Forza 6's career. The physics are identical on all versions of the game, the only difference is in graphics and it takes a decent pc to exceed the console versions of the game. What you notice is that both FM and GT are gradually turning into a mainstream 'car' games, instead of a racing game. Probably because it sells better with the general public. The simulation of real life racing takes second or third plan in their design direction as long as there are lots of cars and pretty graphics.Yeah, I tried online last night. Again, same story as with career - no qualifying, random (I think?) grid placement by default and 2-3 lap races. I see that you can set up custom lobbies, but aren't those only for you and your friends? Is there a way to create a custom public lobby? If that was the case, at least I could increase the lap count, but still no qualifying is a big miss.
I know there are endurance races in career, still that's just one series with only specific cars. I guess something's better than nothing. I don't see why they don't add an option to increase lap count in other series. Default can still be 3 laps. Maybe by FM7 they add that and qualifying. Then the game could really shine.
Funny thing is - the intro trailer in Forza 6 is all about how racing is in our blood and it sets you up for a certain expectations about the game, but then racing is arguably the weakest part of the FM6 package. What you notice is that both FM and GT are gradually turning into a mainstream 'car' games, instead of a racing game. Well it seems every game that comes out, seems to not promise what's promised.Reading reviews is the best way to avoid deceit![]()
