OK, so get this – I'll be selling Resistance and FNR3 soon. Motorstorm will be the only game I have for quite a while. And you know what happens? Its game save becomes corrupted for no reason. I didn't shut off the console when it was saving or loading or whatever. I didn't use the hardware switch on the back of the PS3. And yet it's my first corrupted save. 👎

Hmm, the first real problem with a ps3? I dont know what caused it, but i hope it doesnt happen to many. And why are you selling your other games?

This is probably an obvious question, but when we get the ps3 next friday, there is going to be and my dad using the same console and will more than likly be playing the same games, now I know we can make seperate logins as it were, but if I save say RR7 complete, and my dad decides he want to play it, will he be able to see my save on his own profile and if yes will he ba able to save over it, and will it let him create his own save and keep it seperate from mine???? this is a big thing as hes so rubbish at remembering what hes done, and more than likly he will think he completed a game and delete the save or something.
Because I have no use for them.
...As for the corruption problem, it seems like there's also several people on PS3forums who are having the same thing.

Just started running it on the PC along with SETI@home, Protein@home, and Rosetta@home. Hey, my Core 2 Duo needs something to keep it from being bored!
Its 1/5 through a work unit on Folding and I started it about 14 hours ago. Not bad for running with all the other calculations.

Yup! Folding@Home is coming with the 1.6 system update..... I wonder what else is in that update!
So now you can use all that raw PS3 power to cure cancer! They have kind of pitched it as a game where you can see everyone participating on the virtual globe with glowing little yellow lights and there will be a leader board of how much you have calculated! Plus you get the cool protein visuals...
Gamespot go throughly through it in this on the Spot epsoide about 1/4 of the way through..... cool stuff but I don't think my PS3 would be on unless im doing something on it (which BTW you cant do anything if your running this program cos it uses most of the CELL cores).

I see only a few, and at least a couple were quick to ask, and get someone to send them their game save... which could easily mean they were just looking to get a game save with everything unlocked, and may not have lost their game save at all.Duċk;2605138
One member in fact, looks like they not only claimed their game save was corrupted, but when he asked for a 100% game save from another member, and got it, he then made a listing on eBay offering to sell 50 copies of the game save for $3 each. Pretty un-cool if you ask me. But as it pertains to Duck's observations from another board... don't believe everything you read on a forum.
In addition, the PS3 makes it VERY easy to back-up your game saves, which makes these reports all the more suspicious, when they then go on to ask for a game save from someone else. Just offering a different take on the subject, but for those that really lose their game saves, I feel for them.
Fortunately the PS3 does have a very good system for those that want to back up their game saves. đź‘Ť

It makes no sense to sell game saves. You'd have to be complete moron to buy one. There are so many places on the internet where you can download game saves.

Why is everyone on YouTube an idiot?
I'm not talking about the video, because if I wanted to raise fires I would have posted it directly. I'm talking about how the majority of the comments seem to be direct attacks against the person in the video ("get out of your mom's basement" or things of that nature), rather than constructive ideas about the video. I can only think that most of the people on the site are blinded by fanboyism or something, completely ignoring any point the poster and the person in the video may have had.

If you think that is bad, go check out the "Preview Buzz" at Gamestop.com under Halo 3 Legendary Edition. Somebody actually said that the 360 is the better console because it has 512mb of RAM to the PS3's 256 (which isn't true, I think the 512mb is combined, like the PS3s) and also said it is upgradable to 1GB of RAM...

Thanks for those great scans KENJIusa..... At first I didnt like the look of this title, and the graphics (for now) seemed abit jaggy..... but that cover system sold it for me! How cool is it that every time he goes for cover he changes his posture! I wonder how this game will turn out.... I dont like his female partner though, I was expecting something more Lara Croft style!
..... Is this game PS3 exclusive?Oh and another question, unrelated, Can you play your online PS2 games (of which there are few) on a PS3 using its online system? Im thinking TDU for PS2 being played online on a PS3??

Oh and about U Tube, half the people who post there know nothing, they read all the hype and they are like 12 year olds saying stuff like PS3 SUX!! etc etc... Even the video reviewers themselves mostly know nothing! I just watch them to pass the time on see the hardware, I rarely listen to what they say!

Thank you your answer, and im glad Sony have doen it this way, because as I understand it on the 360 its the total opposite (dont quote me on that im about 10% sure
) but its good to hear that my pops wont be able to skrew up my saves and files n that.

You can but you need to create a new ps2 network file. I've tried Toca 3 and it works, Burnout revenge i tried but it asked me to sign up to EA nation (I'll pass)

Are the demo's on the online store there forever, like do they just rack up or do they dissapear after a while?
Im thinking like 2 years down the line will all the demo's ever released be still available because I may never want to buy some games but just download the demo whenever.....

Well you could back-up the entire HDD, but I'm not sure there is a way of backing up individual games. I suppose someone with a lot of understanding of the PS3 disc archive system might be able to do that by removing the HDD and accessing it through their PC. It might not be worth the effort though.
