PS3 General Discussion

Otherwise, the PGR4 and GT5 comparison was just a quick one based on their new city racing (judging by some of the new city tracks), and the inclusion of what appeared to be the F1 circuit. The GT5 car models look far superior to that of PGR4, but environment wise, Bizarre seems to have won-out (I'm sure that will change, however...).

PGR4 confirmed 30fps. And you are comparing GT5:Prologue not GT5. PGR4 the full game is ready to roll to retail around the same time GT5P(not a full game) comes out.

The question now is weather or not the PS3 makes sense for purchase at this point or to wait a little longer. E3 has shown off some impressive games (Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, and MGS4). But im still skeptical, as the majority of 3rd party games will be on the 360 as well. But then again the PS3 price just dropped to $500....not sure weather to take the plunge or not. Hmmm…..

Actually, if the lowest price possible is critical, you can currently get the 60GB PS3 from Amazon for $500 with no tax and free shipping and they throw in a Blu-ray movie and PS3 remote for free. In addition, there is a Blu-ray promotion going on right now where you'll also get five additional free Blu-ray movies of your choice from a list of twenty one titles.

I checked on Amazon's marketplace, eBay, and Craig's list and you could easily sell each of these for $20 a piece as they are new and sealed.

So that's another $140 off the $500, giving you a PS3 for about $360... $40 less than the X360 and you get a fantastic Blu-ray player as well which by its self is worth at least $500 compared to competing Blu-ray players, plus a HDD three times larger than the X360, Wifi, memory card reader, wireless charge kit, and free online network and gaming. 👍👍

YSSMAN - So you're telling me:

NCSoft Buyout Announcement
Unreal Tourney III Time Exclusive
MGS4 Confirmed Exclusive
Numerous PSP games
KZ2 Video and Gameplay
New Home Features
New Motorstorm DLC
LBP Create system

These (plus many more I'm definitely leaving out) are all things you knew about?

Like it or not, SOny stomped everyone, they DIDN'T do what they always do (contrary to your ridiculous remarks) and they did what they should do: Show games.

Normally, Sony shows up to E3 with powerpoint slides, and spends hours talking about sales, and how powerful their console is, etc etc blah blah.

This year, it was game after game after game, with MS and Nintendo hitting the power point slides.

And if you're going to say anything about anyone trying to be funny, talk to Peter Moore. Or maybe Reggie with his attempt to milk excitement out of a SSBB date.

JR... please let's try and put an end to all the exaggerations.

I agree, Sony did a much better job this year than in the past, and arguably had the best presentation at E3, and there were several awkward moments in Peter Moore's E3 presentation...

That Rock Band performance was frighteningly bad, and instead of promoting the game it probably hurt it unfairly! Also, did anyone else catch that "whoopsee" moment when they were playing Assassin's Creed? The game glitched when the main character killed a guard on a ledge, and instead of falling to the ground, the dead body of the guard was floating 12' above the ground... making it worse, the lady leading the demo even blurted out "whoops" when she saw what happened. Not nearly as bad as previous MS presentations where they can't even get a program or operating system to work properly, but still I'm sure it was something they wish had not occurred.

That said, YSSMAN has been frank and upfront about his personal preference for Xbox, and while he too has exaggerated facts in some of his remarks, that doesn't mean you or anyone else should do the same in kind. Two wrongs do not make a right... I know this as I often have a bad tendency to respond in similar style to posts that really get me riled up... and that's not a good thing.

Let's keep it real. Stick with the facts, and allow each other to also have opposing subjective opinions. As long as no one is misrepresenting objective facts as a way to support their personal opinion, we should all be able to get along regardless of our differences of opinion. 👍

The only thing that was opinionated about my post was Sony "stomping" everyone else.

MS and Nintendo DID fall back on sales and marketing more times than I care to talk about.

MS and Nintendo didn't show as many exclusives as Sony.

Sony DID show the most games, the most exclusive games, and had the most surprises.

I don't know, as far as I can tell, I haven't exaggerated much.

And did anyone else find Assassins Creed extremely rough, and ultimately uninteresting? It left a bad taste in my mouth, that's for sure.

Well, I could continue on discussing how i disagree with YSSMAN's pov, but everyone else did an amazing job at it.

I am finally completely satisfied with the fact that I dropped 600 dollars on my Playstation 3. With so many great titles to look forward to, coupled with Home, I am very excited about the future of Sony.

One preview that got me pretty ancy was the Assasins Creed video. As Adam Sessler put it, it just looks so luxurious. I want to see more about this game.

Anyway, at least I have RS:V to tide me over until this fall.

Have you guys seen the trailer for the new UFC game?

PSNID pleeze.

It's Jeff13b(hope to see some of you online) I also got motorstorm today so I'll be playing both games online this weekend. Also, is there a link anywhere where I can watch this GT5 video?

again, where do you find your sources, Jeremy Ricci?

Since sales numbers aren't released often to the public unless tracked by NPD or Neilson, I am left to rely on developer comments, and as I said, Seb has confirmed many times on the Playstation Official Forums (as well as in beta threads and forums) that the original Killzone sold 2 Million copies world wide (US / EU).

I'm not really going to go out on a limb and find said post and dig up sales data (which would be nearly impossible). Either take my word for it, or don't, I'm sure you can find the info on your own.

These (plus many more I'm definitely leaving out) are all things you knew about?

We had known about the PSP redesign for a while, at least those of us who click around on the internet and read the magazines. They were loosing to DS far too bad to ignore it, so they added a video output and made it 33% better at something. Great. As for the PSP titles, I still stick that in the "who cares" file. We knew about God of War, and while the Star Wars game exclusive was neat (the Star Wars guys like me will go nuts over the PSP, probably), it wasn't a bit deal, IMO.

The NCSoft deal was news, I'll give you that. But I wasn't blown away by it.

I thought UT3 was semi-confirmed as exclusive as of last year? Or was that back when they were calling it UT:2008? The same goes with MGS4. There were rumors that they would jump to the X360, but I think most of us knew they would stay with Sony. Kojima would whore it out that easily...

As for KZ2, we knew it would be there. Most of us assumed it would look good. So if the surprise was that it looked that good, then yes they did a good job, but if the surprise was that it was just there, then it wasn't that big of a deal.

Speaking about HOME, you can add that to the "don't care" file as well. People are pretty hyped up about it, and thats their own prerogative. To me, its a gimmick really, but thats just my opinion.

Like it or not, SOny stomped everyone, they DIDN'T do what they always do (contrary to your ridiculous remarks) and they did what they should do: Show games.

Everyone showed games, and as I had said before, it depends on what kind of games you're into as to how you would rate it. Sure, we did without the "Riiiiidge Raaaaacer" moments this year, which is a good thing (Kaz has always driven me crazy), but that didn't save the show. Everyone didn't show much, IMO, as most of us were just waiting to see what they showed, but much of what was there were things that we've known about for a while. Quite frankly, the only big surprise to me was Wii Fit, probably because I found it so odd.

And if you're going to say anything about anyone trying to be funny, talk to Peter Moore. Or maybe Reggie with his attempt to milk excitement out of a SSBB date.

Hmmm, I thought I mentioned P-Mo looking like an idiot playing Rock Band. They need to bring back J Allard to do these shows, at least he was interesting to watch and listen to...

As for Reggie, I missed the opening of the Nintendo conference, but he was Reggie as usual. I thought his antics on Wii Fit with Miamoto were funny, but that may be my sense of humor.

===

So if you're expecting a cave for me to say that Sony outright one, you are mistaken. I'd say that they had a lot more to show off, and certainly care more about the future, but that doesn't make them winners in my book. By the slimmest of margins they probably beat Microsoft given their outlook on what will eventually happen, and Microsoft certainly gave me a reason not to buy a Wii for a while as well.

But that all being said, Microsoft blew everyone out of the water for the Holiday season. There aren't any questions there in my book. But, as I think Di-Ni said in this thread (maybe it was another?), the types of games Microsoft has appeal more to me than that of Nintendo or Sony.

So be it.

I'm being fair (I think), or at least I'm trying to be. I'll admit when I'm wrong, but it usually isn't easy for me to do so...

I'm being fair (I think), or at least I'm trying to be. I'll admit when I'm wrong, but it usually isn't easy for me to do so...

Well atleast you're trying.
I must admit though, as the owner of a PS2, GameCube, and Xbox, I feel I have enough room to say I'm not biased towards one system or another where as you seem to be very biased (which generally means unfair).

Of course, like I said, atleast you are trying. 👍

I too own all three of the previous systems, and the PS2 certainly has the most miles on it, but that probably doesn't mean much these days. I can still appreciate the PS3 for offering Blu-Ray at the very least, but I have still yet to find the compelling reason to buy one. All things considered, there will eventually be great games on the system, they just aren't there any time soon.

I'm having fun with my 360, so thats really all that matters. My friend is looking to buy a PS3 in the next few weeks, so I'll probably dick around with his for a while. But as I had said with others on XBL this evening, until GT5 drops, I really don't have a good reason to get one.

YSSMAN - Well, I'm not going to debate with you, think what you want, but realize you are the minority. Not just here, pretty much the majority of everyone who follows gaming and paid attention during E3 will disagree with you.

i'm still waiting for a descent price drop and either wangan midnight, the next Tokyo extreme racer, the next kaido battle, MGS4 or GT5 come out...

According to play-asia.com, Wangan Midnight will be released on July 26th :) Thats already in 2 weeks.

I hope that the first Gran Turismo will be released on PSN for Download

YSSMAN, for the sake of fact finding... as that's always a good thing, I spent some time looking into what announcements were made at E3 regarding the PS3 and the games coming out for it, and I have to say I found a lot that contradicts several of your previous assertions.

For instance:

Comparing the Sony conference to that of the others, I think it was more a matter of who was worried about the near-future, and who was worried about the distant future. While all of the companies are focused on the '07 holiday season, Sony had more that was coming after to show off, while Nintendo and Microsoft seemed to be clinging onto the '07 year only.
You might be surprised to know that there were actually many more PS3 titles scheduled for 2007 shown at E3 than X360 and especially Nintendo. And the 2007 PS3 titles from E3 outnumbered the 2008 titles by 3 to 1. In addition, there were several PS3 titles shown at E3 that are scheduled to come out before the November crush… so clearly it would be wrong to say or even suggest Sony had more at E3 that was coming in 2008 than 2007. That simply was not the case... now I'm sure there will be more new PS3 games released in 2008 than 2007, but in terms of E3, Sony did not neglect their upcoming 2007 titles, far from it.

While games like MGS4, Ratchet, and the obvious GT5 continue to hold my attention, the rest of the PS3 lineup seems to consist of multiplatform games that will be available on X360, so they're nothing special to me.
Actually just among the titles at E3, there were about 15 exclusive PS3 titles scheduled for 2007, and another three for 2008, although if you look at the list of all PS3 Games scheduled for 2007 and 2008, and not just those mentioned at E3, you'll discover there are many more than just those 15, and many times more for 2008. There were nearly as many exclusive PS3 titles shown at E3 than there were multi-platform PS3 titles, so again, it would be wrong to suggest that there were many more multiplatform PS3 titles at E3 compared to exclusive titles.

But if we're going to talk killer apps, and what it means to the consoles, that’s where Sony loses out. MGS4 and Killzone 2 are still a bit too far off to make a difference
Either you are not very familiar with the titles scheduled to come out on the PS3 over the next 12 months, or you are seriously underplaying the significance of many of these titles. This topic treads a thin line between subjective and objective analysis, but objectively, one only has to look at previous sales figures on many of these franchises and its clear they can't be dismissed so easily. You may not have any personal interest in it, as that's been fairly well established, but one doesn't have to look hard to see that the PS3 has many exclusive titles that have already generated a great deal of interest. Right off the bat you have to add Ninja Gaiden Sigma, which was only released about three weeks ago in Japan and has already sold half a million copies! I would certainly consider Lair, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, and Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools of Destruction as all being top selling exclusive PS3 games. Even Time Crisis 4 and NBA 08 may find a wide audience. PS3 also has some nice timed exclusives including Haze and Unreal Tournament 3 as well as the recently announced enhanced version of Collin McRae: DiRT.

Also in 2007, PS3 has some very high profile, multi-platform games coming out, including Grand Theft Auto IV, Devil May Cry 4, Half-Life 2: Ep.1&2: The Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Army of Two, and many more!

2008 looks even better for PS3 in terms of exclusive top selling franchise releases, like Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy and yes, even Killzone 2.

And I have yet to even include any of the announced exclusive PSN games for 2007, of which there are many...

Although, I will openly admit that the one PSN game, Electrochome (or whatever its called) looks rather interesting, and would be fun to spend a few hours with.
I think you'll find most observations from E3 regarding the upcoming slate of PSN games, like those for the featured PS3 games, have been vry favorable.

Here is a recent article on the subject published by ars technica, one of the leading technical journals online:

Ars at E3: Sony shows strong lineup of downloadable games on the PlayStation Network.
By Ben Kuchera | Published: July 11, 2007 - 05:33PM CT
Now that Frank and I are out of the Sony Press Conference, one thing is clear: the PlayStation Network is going to be become a powerful contender in the world of downloadable games. Sony lead off their PlayStation Network portion of the show with a new game called echochrome, a game they promised would give us the "least graphics with the most gameplay." They were right; the graphics consist of black lines on a white screen, simple planes, and designs that look very much like a very pared-down MC Escher work. The game's hook is that by revolving the camera you can change how you interact with each puzzle, much like the PSP title Crush. It's a great concept, and looks great. Even the game's classical score sets off its very new and fresh feel. Even better? The game is also coming to the PSP.

WipeOut HD looks great but then again, it's not much of a trick to make WipeOut look good in 1080p. Even though it's a no-brainer, the game looks like it'll be a must-download when it's released. Sony also showed off Warhawk, as well as a new SOCOM title called Confrontation. All these titles looked good enough to be full-featured PS3 releases, and they easily blew away the games on Xbox Live Arcade, at least graphically. Sony also promised a taste of the upcoming Gran Turismo 5 with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue available later this year on the PlayStation Network. The game looks great, but it was hard to tell if we saw any actual gameplay.

Outside of the sublime echochrome we knew about most of these games, but seeing them back to back really showed off Sony's ability to pull forward when it comes to digital distribution. That built-in 60GB hard drive allows them to create immersive experiences and sell them directly to the customers, and they're taking full advantage of it.

FYI: Here are the exclusive PSN games shown at E3 slated for release this year (except for the full version of LBP), although there are more than this:
  • Blast Factor: Advanced Reasearch
  • Echochrome
  • Everyday Shooter
  • Go! Sports: Ski
  • Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
  • High Velocity Bowling
  • Little Big Planet (2008)
  • Nucleus (just came out)
  • PAIN
  • SOCOM: Confrontation (like Warhak w/online gameplay for up to 32 players)
  • Wangan Midnight 3
  • Warhawk (online gameplay for up to 32 players & up to 4 players per PS3)
  • Wipeout HD

In defense of JR, I also looked into some of those Sony E3 announcements, and he is correct. Sure, there has been, as there always will be, lots of speculation, rumors, and hype long before any official announcements are ever made, and if you read enough speculation, rumor, and hype, many are bound to "come true"... but there's a big difference between speculation, rumor, and hype and actual official announcements... so from an objective POV, JR is correct.

OK.. I’ve done enough fact finding for one day! :D

But as I had said with others on XBL this evening, until GT5 drops, I really don't have a good reason to get one.

Right now I feel the same way about the xbox360.
Halo 3 is the only garunteed exclusive I know of that would warrant a system purchase (assuming Ace Combat ends up being a time-release exclusive).

But even so, right now there just isn't anything that warrants a purchase in my eyes (except for 3rd party titles that will be on both systems).

;)

They are not even competing with the DS. Ds sales figures mean nothing for PSP's success. The PSP is selling well and better than the Xbox360. Lots of people care about PSP titles. Do you forget the PSP is portable? You can access media files from PS3 and a PC from anywhere in the world. The games are there and many are good. Longer battery life and faster load times is a big improvement, they dont mention improved pixel response times but if they can get it to a minimum of 8ms, its a great improvement. They also revealed that newer games will run at the full 333mhz giving it a 50% boost in speed. Longer battery life and fast load times are a must.

And it pretty much isn't going anywhere for a long time. I'm a happy owner of the PSP and for my work it comes in handy.

I like being in the minority. Its fun. We've had our debates before, and neither one of us won there either. I've conceded that some of my statements were a bit obtuse, but I continue to stand by my opinion that while Sony may have one out, in my book it wasn't by much. Again, my opinion, Microsoft guy or not.

===

In other stuff: Thanks for the information there Di-Ni. I think I may have written off some of it because I usually tend to focus on the larger blockbuster titles. They're floating around in my head, but I normally keep screaming "MGS4 and Killzone 2!" The build-up of titles for the PS3 is well-deserved, and will likely make the platform more appealing to everyone.

I'm happy to admit that I'm wrong when I'm really wrong, and you've done so. I would like to thank IGN, Gamespot, and G4 for not showing the numbers however, which likely wasn't fair for Sony whatsoever. Media bias? Maybe. But then again, you'd expect them to stack-up against Microsoft.

Quick question about Ninja Gaiden: Thats the PS3 version of the same one that has been floating around for a while on XBOX, right? Not that I'm complaining, its a beautiful game and a lot of fun to play, but between car knowledge and my attention to politics and videogames, I get confused easily...

Where can I download Sony's E3 2007 Press Conference (MS and Nintendo also) with a good quality. I like gametrailers.com videos but I didn't find it there...

Good question. I believe they call it a remake, and the changes appear substantial... thus the likely reason for the name change from "Black" to "Sigma".

I never played Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox, but this is what the Wiki listing says are the differences between the remake and the last edition, "NG: Black":

Changes from Xbox version:
  • Graphics have been overhauled to take advantage of the high definition capability of the PS3
  • Some FMVs have been replaced with real-time in-game graphic cutscenes
  • Changes to some of the original level designs and mission mode missions
    • Rachel's story chapters are inserted in amongst Ryu's
    • Some items have their locations moved
    • This includes the addition and removal of some encounters
    • Some boss encounters have also been reworked
  • Some enemies' specifications (AI, damage, etc) have been changed
  • Changes to Ryu's reverse wind technique
  • While floating, Ryu can now hop up and run on water
  • While running on water, Ryu can engage in combat
  • Ryu can now shoot arrows in mid-air
  • The speargun is now classified as a projectile weapon
  • Ryu can now use restoration items without going through menus
New Additions:
  • A new playable character, Rachel, the demon hunter
    • She is playable in only 3 of her own chapters and 11 missions in Mission Mode (2 are secret missions)
    • For weapons, she can only use her warhammer.
    • For projectiles, she can only use her whip, the Peluda Tail.
    • For ninpo, she can only cast her Blades of the Ouroborus.
    • Whereas Ryu unlocks costumes, she can obtain 7 hairstyles (besides her default hairstyle).
  • A new weapon for Ryu, a set of dual katanas called Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang
  • Three new enemies have been added
    • MSAT bikers
    • Mermen
    • Ghost Fires
  • Two new bosses have been added
    • Gamov
    • Alternator (an enemy like Dynamo)
  • Shaking the SIXAXIS controller will increase the strength of the ninpo being casted
Contrary to claims of this being the "more complete" version, the following has been removed as compared to its predecessors.
  • The opening introductory movie of the legend between the Dragon Sword and the Dark Dragon Blade.
  • Movie Theater (this means the player will be unable to view the remaining 480p movies outside of Story Mode)
  • Some encounters
  • Two costumes
  • Many puzzles
  • Additional starting weapons on higher difficulties (only in Ninja Gaiden Black)
  • The Armlet of Tranquility has been removed from the whole game
  • Gobdecks (a fire-breathing dinosaur with spikes), known by some fans as thorn gallas, have been totally removed from the system
  • Trailing images and light effects from certain power moves have been removed
  • NES or Arcade versions of Ninja Gaiden previously unlocked as bonuses in the Xbox Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Gaiden Black, have been removed
You can only decapitate monsters and non-humans in the Japan and Asian versions of the games. This is due to their compliance with CERO's guidelines. The United Kingdom version similarly follows this ruling. The rest of the European Union and the North American versions however allows the decapitation of any humanoid foe.

Secret missions:
  • There is a set of missions hidden within the game's Mission Mode. The input sequence ( Up, Down, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square ) will unlock the set of missions.

Downloadable content:
  • On April 26, 2007, a demo of the game was released on the PlayStation Network American and Japanese stores, and later on EU stores. To the dismay of many Ninja Gaiden veterans, the scoring system of the demo has a scoring glitch which allows players to get exorbitantly high scores on the leaderboards.
  • Having downloaded and played the demo would also allow the player to start off with a bonus amount of yellow essence when starting a new game on the retail version.
  • Yusuke Hayashi, the game's director and producer, mentioned that the game will be receiving major additions via the PlayStation Network platform. The exact nature of those additions remains to be seen

Wiki = YMMV... but it's a good starting off point. :)

Just to clarify, 1/2 million copies were sold to retailers, not consumers.
Maybe you have some more accurate data. Bloomberg reported 450,000 "sales" of Ninja Gaiden Sigma in Japan, but maybe they meant shipped. Bloomberg is usually very accurate in their reports, and careful with the terminology, but if you have a better source that distinguishes between shipped numbers and sell through numbers for that title in Japan, that would be good to share. 👍

There were nearly as many exclusive PS3 titles shown at E3 than there were multi-platform PS3 titles, so again, it would be wrong to suggest that there were many more multiplatform PS3 titles at E3 compared to exclusive titles.

That's a "Great addition to the thread" and I appreciate such a quality post. 👍 (+rep)
Same goes for your wiki search regarding Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
keep up the good work.

Digital-Nitrate, you did a better job on the 07 E3 announcements than most of the hacks who were actually there! (how many times have I read some tit bemoaning "all of Sony's games are coming "next year!") Nice!👍

ExigeExcel. On my HDD I have some music (4 CD's worth..I might do more), loads of film trailers and game trailers (bulging since E3), about 100 photos and 3 demo's (including the Japanese only Folklore - I used to have all around 6 demos before) and 3 HDD games - Tekken 5 DR, Flow and Gran Turismo HD. I have approximately 35 GBs left. I could probably get 10 back by deleting trailers etc but I like to keep them, they look good on the XMB!

Thought it was better here than making a thread, but how much room are you guys using on your HDDs and what for?

Around 30 photos and no music on mine (I use media streaming from my PC to access most picture and music)

65 Video clips, some of quite a size (particularly the rather nice 8 minute Die Hard 4.0 clip)

13 games and demos
  • GT:HD
  • Tekken 5 DR
  • Everybody's Golf Demo
  • Super Rub a Dub
  • Flow
  • NBA 07 Demo
  • Lemmings
  • Virtua Tennis 3 demo
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma Demo
  • Q*bert
  • Go Puzzle
  • MK2
  • Bacterius demo

On top of that I also have 4.4 gig of Oblivion installed and the Resistance FoM map pack and updates at around half a gig.

I really must clean some of it out as some of the videos could be moved to my PC and streamed and I certainly don't play all of the demos any more (and a few of them are a good 800 meg).

That said I still have 28 gig of space left.

Where can I download Sony's E3 2007 Press Conference (MS and Nintendo also) with a good quality. I like gametrailers.com videos but I didn't find it there...
I'd like to know this as well... Sony was supposed to upload the conference to the PS Store, but it's looking like it won't happen. And I refuse to download a 500MB video from GameSpot at 5kbps.
Thought it was better here than making a thread, but how much room are you guys using on your HDDs and what for?

About 15GB of the 55GB available. Have about 23 videos, 22 of the are random game videos from 100MB to 300MB in size, and I have a full movie on here as well. Have 4 downloadable games (CaC, SSHD, fl0w, GTHD) and the Ninja Gaiden demo... and that's about it. All the videos are on it because I can't figure out streaming for Macs, unfortunately. :indiff:

And I have good news: it looks like Madden 08 PS3 is going to be 60fps instead of the 30fps that was reported. 👍

http://www.maddenwars.com/

So I talked to Kendall Boyd who is the producer of NCAA 08 on nex gen and I asked him the tough questions.

1. Is there a delay with the PS3 version of NCAA 08?

2. Does the PS3 version run at 30 fps unlike its rivalXBOX 360 that runs at 60 fps.

A1. Ther is no delay, he expects PS3 copies to be delivered in full. He did say earlier that the PS3 may not get to smaller retail stores, but then backed away from that statement and issuing that the PS3 will be sold on time.

A2. The PS3 version of NCAA 08 will be at 30 fps. Although this is a big blow, the Madden Version of PS3 will run at 60 fps.
