If preseason has to get knocked down, I just still want the road test. I don't care about Indy, I know I have a chance to win regardless. :L

SSR5 is hard because it's a tough track and rome is hard because GT5 physics seend you into a wall at a ridiculous speed for no apparent reason. I think you can tell which one I'd be happy to see disappear :P

Xstylez- we have to keep Indy to run the new oval caution rules i remember last season @ the 200 there were so much confusion and chaos because we didn't run a practice session on Indy

I never had trouble @ Rome, I would like to see SSR5 disappear

Both have their issues; Rome has the kink which is horrific in dirty air and has a tendency to make the car spin and SSR5 has horrible visibility. I'll take your opinions into account but we're still discussing it 👍

I would like to see SSR5 used for that race. It's a nice track

I like Rome and I think the kink is just like any course and any discipline of motorsports in that its a challenge you have to overcome, adjust accordingly. Don't follow right behind the person through that corner, adapt to the situation.

I like SSR5 for most of the layout, the visibility sucks and the first corner is tough to pass into, but I think the problems we had last season will be lessened or erased this year with an experienced field.

so I think the choice is obvious, replace them both with monaco...

I just know that whatever decision I make here, I absolutely cannot win

It's tricky; I think Rome is a bit of a bore anyway and if you add the kink issue SSR5 will probably win in the end. We're off to preseason at Monaco Frasier so we'll still drive there mate, just wasn't overwhelming interest in a regular season date. That may change for next season depending on how well it goes down.

Well to add something to this board, gents I have met Marco Andretti and I'll do race highlights of the series :D

Sweet dude, where did you meet him? Damn, sport is one of the reasons I want to live in America when I'm done with school and uni.

You'll do a highlights package for us? I was thinking about this the other day but I don't have a recorder; awesome! 👍

I met him at a bar/grill(Buffalo Wild Wings) outside of Baltimore

and for the highlights all I need is ppl to pm me the greatest moments of the race to make the job easier/quicker

Kartman gets round a corner without damage, should be my biggest moment of the race. And yes, it will only happen once 👍

Awesome man, mainly we'll want coverage of the start, any cautions/wrecks, cars pitting in, battles and the finish. This will be brilliant

I was thinking maybe we can follow the actual 2012 IndyCar season minus a road and a street course like:

Rounds - Track Type (Course Suggestion)
1st - Street (Tokyo R246)
2nd - Road (Indy Road)
3rd - Street (SSR5, i suppose)
4th - Street (Madrid)
5th - Oval (INDY 500!!!!!!)
6th - Street (Rome, most likely not O_O)
7th - Oval (Daytona Twin 100s)
8th - Oval (Motegi Oval)
9th - Oval (SSRX!? or the Brickyard 200)
10th - Street (Madrid Mini, or it can get bumped off)
11th - Road (Motegi Road)
12th - Road (Monza or Suzuka :D)
13th - Road (Laguna Seca)
14th - Street (Monaco)
15th - Oval (Motegi Oval)

These are only suggestions a bit late but its been running through my head and with recent news it looks like 3 races will be bumped off so 12 races O_O

Too many Road Courses.

Tom, it looks like the Polls are tied now, even when you count out the randoms. Unless they have to be full time.

Yeah, full timers only Cowboys. Schedule is okay Indy but there's too many road courses, IndyCar should have more ovals IRL (I even got Tomas Schekter to agree to that one on twitter ;) ) anyway.

Ovals ftw

True but that is what we call 'tragic circumstances' because it should be the other way around ;)

Ah well lets change it to 6 ovals, 2 Indys, 2 Daytonas ,2 Motegi's 👍 :D

and 3 street Tokyo, SSR5, and Madrid and 3 road Motegi, Indy, and Laguna Seca :D

Well we've got 3 short ovals, 3 superspeedways, 4 street circuits and 3 road courses. I think that's a very nice split 👍

By the way guys, hope you're free on Sunday afternoons because I've got a new Grand Am series starting under the PURE banner. Really cool stuff, check it out!
