Excuse the livery, its still a WIP, but I love the fact we have the Evo 9 back, with Rally Upgrades too!

Played 4 hours. Feels like they nailed it. Still wish you could run against all factory spec opponents in career, but it's not been a huge issue yet.

I agree, I wish the game didn't auto upgrade everything. Whats the point of spending all this time capturing cars ( spring rates, tires, etc) if the first thing they do is remove the stock setup.

There are some spec races in Showcase Events.

Just went back to Leagues. My GT1-liveried ND was placed on the grid directly behind an NA running my same blue livery. Feels good. :D
My marathon for the day is run.:D i unlocked a bunch more showcases which I'll try tomorrow after some sleep.

Here's a question on something that I don't think I've seen mentioned yet, do all the vehicles have opening hoods this time around, or are there still certain ones that don't allow it?

Nah, some still have the same bare bones "Vista," even some cars that are new to the series.

On a side note, COTA is an awesome track!

Well, I've been playing this game all day since 8 am. Anyway, it so far is just amazing; it's living up to what I expected from a Forza game on the Xbox One when Turn 10 had some time to get use to the system. Great job Turn 10!

Has the audio bug from Forza 5 been fixed? The one where after a few races everything becomes extremely distorted and you have to reset the console to fix it.

I found a new glitch on fm5 some time ago that requires you to open the door and force your way into the car.

I'm going to see if it works on FM6 tomorrow

Hopefully it does work for photo purposes since in fh2 + ff and fm5 you can force your way in during a race by pushing against a wall in the work. I tried it on the demo but they fixed it up. Hopefully the fix doesn't apply to Forzavista too.

Damn son, this game is sooooo good. I wasn't expecting it to be this good, this might just push Forza 4 to the side as the best Forza game ever.

I agree. Even though we don't have Porsche yet it feels and looks so much more refined and I love the fact that they've included so many racing disciplines. I also love that you can choose NOT to see community-inspired liveries while racing. Tarting a car up spoils it for me personally.

WOW! I am so relieved the handling with a wheel is not what it was in the demo. I was terrified I wasted $100 for the ultimate edition. I am running the fanatec csw v2 and I am happy to report it works well. Counter steering / drifting with "simulation" steering is much better than FM5. I have only a couple hours worth of gameplay but it is good . Now if you excuse me I have some more forza to play .

I really enjoyed a long session yesterday

I was a bit tipsy by the end of it though so when I fire it up today I'll see what lunacy I committed :ouch:

I usually paint all my cars vivid pink when I get sozzled

Played for a couple hours just doing hot laps, so still haven't actually dived into the career. :P

Did notice the GT-R's spoiler brake light doesn't work though, and the stripe glitch from FM5 has returned where if you try to paint certain parts of the car, the stripe will disappear (like the GTO in FM5, the 458S' will also vanish if you try to paint other parts).

That annoying bump in the road called work is my enemy today. Loved the few hours I got to play last night, though.

I enjoyed 5, but I think I'll love this one like H2.

Oh it's just no good. I forgot to try the Hellcat out last night. :banghead:

If someone could try it and tell me about it, that would be awesome.

My impression from several hours of the game now:
1. Career - it's damn awesome, easily the best career of any FM game, what I like is that it uses available ribbons progressively, so eventually I assume you'll drive all of them, this is great, Forza 5 got stale real quick because it didn't even make full use of it's available tracks. The career doesn't feel like a grind, but a steady progression.
2. Rivals mode - something that I haven't used much in FM4 and 5 because it was kind of convoluted and didn't make much sense to me. In FM6 I might actually put some serious time in it, the car is provided (love this), you can clearly see the time that you have to beat, you can clearly see Worldwide/regional/friends leaderboard right there above the rivals event. Just seems better realized to me.
3. AI - it's fantastic, once I've landed on the right difficulty setting for me I've had some really tight races, going three cars wide into a corner and not colliding with each other, jesus, I can't remember a single time that happened to me in any other game. T10 has certainly made some adjustments in their skill and behavior, less pushing around and more cool moves and techniques - saw one drivatar consistently fish tail around corners without losing control, looked very impressive. Overall my races felt tight, but pretty clean, again I'm impressed.
4. Track list - this is probably the best thing in the game, so many great tracks that I've wanted to see in Forza for ages, it's very robust and diverse. The only way to make it better is to bring japanese tracks back. Plus all of them look beautiful, easily the best looking tracks in a simracer imo. Nice details like dust and mist add to the atmosphere.
5. Car list - again very diverse and a lot of fun cars I'm eager to drive.
6. Physics - is a massive improvement over Forza 5, no contest, the cars feel a lot more grippy and planted, the edge of traction is well communicated through the controller and overall I'm having a lot more fun, whilst in FM5 I had to fight with sliding around way too much.
That's all for now from me.

Exactly my feelings so far!

Well I had a fantastic night of racing with FM6. So much better than 5. Still some quirky handling stuff going on with a wheel but I can live with that.Really wish you could increase the volume of your own engine. I really struggle to hear it and for me it's so important to be able to hear it to drive correctly. I almost feel unconnected from the car as a result. Loving the showcase events, on the toughest AI level they really are a good challenge and I've has some great battles so far, the MX5 Spec race around Laguna Seca being the highlight so far.

Even though I already bought the XBONE, I was waiting for this response to handling. I can't wait til Tuesday, but I have to.

Anybody else driven the WSR BMW yet, I drove it round Brands and it didn't have as much rear grip/traction as I would've thought.

I can't stop driving my M235i though, I love it.

Even thiugh I still have millions left in the bank I think I'll cheap it out by using my trusty '05 Impreza WRX STi for both Spocom and Rally Day Heroes runthroughs. Those fluttery leaves on the rural tracks sure are pretty.

The Zakspeed Capri event at Watkins Glen I just ran was absolutely sublime, such a great handling car and a great flowing track. I totally zoned out there for a bit.
And overall I feel like T10 has done a great job recreating the tracks, I've tried Watkins Glen in PCars before and didn't really "get it" you know, seemed pretty meh. But in Forza I've had an absolute blast.

I'm loving the game, but I don't get why the drag strips are not appearing in free play mode. They're only available in test drive mode and whenever I set a time it just takes me back to the menu. I hope the split screen mode in free play has drag strips.
But really this game blew me away in terms of physics and sound, I've only played Forza 3 and 4 in the past and nothing comes this close.

Belay this foolishness, @Clark's post reminded me I have an M235i waiting to be driven in this class.
