Has anybody tried the Passing Challenge showcase events yet? It struck me how close it was to GT4's passing missions! Basically what it does it puts you against other cars that position ahead of you and get head starts. You must wait until the timer runs out before you could start driving.

These are manufacturer only type events that gives you the fastest car, with a objective to pass the leader who is driving a much slower car than you, but is given a couple seconds head start. Thus you must pass all the cars from your car's past or models from the same manufacturer to win.

This is such a blast from the past, especially the corvette one. I know excatly what T10 did there. ;) GT4 also had corvettes running on Infineon Raceway (now named Sonoma) in the past as well. I'll show you a preview of what I went through in this particular event in FM6. It felt so nostalgic. :D

Saw a comment on youtube saying that in a stream the sound designer said the gt350r has the wrong sound or something right now, and it will be sorted in the first patch.

I read it was recorded in quiet mode, rather than loud mode.
 
I'm trying the online lobbies. I did so far 1 lap of a race and then got disconnected. I'm trying again and I can already see this being a disaster. There's 2 Gurkhas in the lobby list.
 
Speaking of controller options, I'd like to see a setting for adjusting the twitchiness of steering.

By the way, how does the clutch work on a controller button?
Unfortunately there are not a lot of adjustments regarding the controller. Either Sim, Normal, or Assisted. The first and most important thing to do is go into the controller setup, hit x for advanced and change the dead zones I run 0-100 percent on everything ( no dead zone). That goes along ways in removing the twitchiness.

Sim- It takes off almost all aids except SSS (speed sensitive steering). If there are other aids enabled I'm unaware. In the event of a slide you go from speed sensitive steering to full lock to lock. It also has a fast crossover speed. When I counter steer I tend to over correct (because I now have full lock to lock). I have not been able to drift consistently in this mode.

Normal- According to the game it dampens certain physical effects. It helps with over correcting and perhaps the fastest way to play. It will also give you full lock to lock in the event of a slide but the crossover speed is much lower.

Assisted- Enables assisted brakes automatically (I think) and helps guide you around corners. But it will slow you down a lot.

The clutch works well. I swap the clutch and handbrake and just roll my thumb from A to X or B.

I knew there was something I was going to hate. Damnit.
 
Good lord, Toko was right; though he got the names wrong. The Corvette event is under the "High Speed Chase" event section. Anyway darn, I just did the Corvette High-Speed Chase event and it definitely gave me a sense of deja vu.

I know excatly what you mean Fred. I couldn't even beat that challenge at all, and got so fustrated before rage quitting. :lol: Now I'm beginning to fear if there's such a event in FM6's High Speed Chase that features the Mercedes-Benz models on Nurburgring. Oh please god don't let it be. 0_0'

Ahh yeah you're right. That was its name but had shamely forgotten it. :P Anyway I never expect T10 to make this type of Showcase event. Glad to have mentioned. :D
 
The E-Trons great to drive, but they got the fuel consumption all wrong, I ran out of fuel after only 5 laps at lemans!🤬

Yup, but it's easier than the one in GT4; the only thing I had trouble with was the last harpin on Sonoma. I kept getting tricked by it.
 
I just realized the audio guys managed to capture the little fuel pump noise that BRZs(including mine) make while idling, and I'm actually really happy about that.



And unrelated, but I've noticed that only 4 or 5 of the 23 drivatars in a race are even on my friends list. Anyone know of a way to outright change, or at least influence that?

Great fun so far,

For most part the drivatars are pretty good

However I did not appreciate that Renault 5 ramming me off the road at a wet Silverstone.

But it's ok, I got my revenge a few corners later and spun him around ;)

Not how I like to race but other than that.. Good fun.

Me too. I think the game matches you up with players of similar ability so in my case I'm going to have to get faster to see most of my friends list as drivatars.
 
Anyone come across the bugged D-Class mini tune. I raced against it last night in the D-Class League. Was over 4000 ft ahead at the end of the Daytona race in which I finished second and didn't put a foot wrong all race. There's a thread over at .net with people reporting the same. Anyone else seen it?

Yes. I tweeted at T10/Community managers about it, hopefully they'll get the team on to a fix soon
 
If you thought the game was good wait till you get to professional volume. Group 5 cars in the wet. OMFG, this is the best racing game and the best rain I've ever played. No joking, that **** is intense, my heart was racing and my hands were shaking. This should shut everyone who though rain was a gimmick up for good. You haven't seen rain like this before.
 
Very much love the game, only got a couple of hours on it so far, will correct that over the next couple of days. I thought there was something up with the gt350r sound, not what i expected. It's beast fully tuned though, over 1,000 hp out of the voodoo motor. It's useable as well with the improved grip, first will blow the tyres off (bearing in mind with the race box and a 9k redline first takes it to 75mph), second it hooks and goes like hell with the most wonderful feeling of the rear tyres right on the edge of friction and the faintest tortured chirruping coming from the rear tyres. One thing i did like is that with the carbon rims, all the aftermarket choices are heavier apart from one or two haha.

They've already said the gt350r is playing the wrong sound file, it will be fixed in the first patch.

They are all over the leaderboards allready, but they dont go on the Hardcore filter, even tho it seems they have all assists off?


Edit, There might be more then the mini. Looking for a setup for the newer MR2 and saw a setup with the discription saying MOD HACK GLITCH. Didnt wanna download it tho.

Anyone else murdering transmissions? I'm not sure if my controller is bad and the clutch isn't engaging, or if they changed things up a little.
 
Is anyone else having trouble taking screenshots (via Xbox One - not photo mode) and getting the to save/share from Upload?

Absolutely murdering them. Clutch engagement is very bizarre in this game, though I have noticed it's a little better in higher level cars.
