Maybe it's me but while the clean/dirty lap indicator seems a bit more lenient with regards to going slightly off track, I seem to be losing power on uphill elevations a bit more easily.

I Think they are aware, they removed the D class hopper. And now im in a D Class league hopper, and not a singel mini in here... maybe they allready did something?

There is definitely something broken with the clutch. With the car in neutral, depressing and releasing the clutch still makes a grinding noise. At the end of the video, I put the car into first gear without the clutch and it didn't generate a noise and it didn't damage the car. Don't mind the piano and Hello Kitty shopping cart!

Not at all. I replicated one of the JNC Hot Wheels Celicas when it was added in 5, so I had it on file.

I only did the Aprilia and Honda bike livery in Horizon 2, but I intended to do several and never got around to it. I plan this time to recreate a fair few bike liveries on this game.

Just working on this for the initial series races :-) View attachment 445322

I can't wait to create my own RX-3 racer.

Really enjoying the current VIP Veneno rivals event, the car feels slightly more alive than it did in the two previous games and then adding the extra challenge of night time makes it so hard to hit that perfect lap. Managed to reach top 10 a few hours ago with a big slide through Blanchimont so will give it another go soon.

Does anyone know if affinity does anything other than the credit rewards for each level? I've reached level 12 with Nissan and received 6,200 credits (I think) but don't see any other effects. I know at max affinity level you get a badge and some rare mod pack.

Well, I haven't played today yet. Though, I can talk about my online experience. I had fun in the multiplayer races up until some jerk would ram into me. Aside from that, I had fun just trying to race the players that weren't trying to treat the game like burnout. Though, I am annoyed with myself as I tend to make more mistakes online than when I'm playing against the drivatars.

I just can't understand why someone would spend £80/$100 for a driving game that's intended imo to be used to race cleanly and with good intentions, then faff about like impatient 10 year olds

Just won my second Ferrari The Ferrari in a spin again, at the end of the second volume. Seems there's a different system in place here: you don't get the option of taking a second copy, you're given the credits right away.

So, extra 800k for this guy.

I don't know how much more of the AI's bull:censored: I can actually tolerate without breaking something or full on deleting the game.
They're working on a fix for the AI.

I honestly haven't found the AI to be to bad, just inconsistent. Definitely not worth deleting the game over. I've had some very enjoyable races, especially some of the showcase events and the Sports Icons Volume in Career.

I didn't get anything good with my Level 3 spin (which annoyed me since the E23 was the grand prize) but..

I tried online again tonight and I enjoyed myself a bit more; I'm learning to deal with the rammers that should be playing burnout.

Aside from that, I just tried some new cars and career events. I tried the Zakspeed Ford Capri, Focus RS, Ford Capri RS, BMW 3.0 CSL, and some team Forza cars. I probably shouldn't had tested the Capri Race Car on the Nurburgring, because it was being crazy. The 3.0 CSL oddly enough felt controllable; I was expecting that to be crazy aswell.

What wheel are you using?

I have a TX, and I am fairly new to wheels, what a difference!

I like that system, I got 980k yesterday because I already had a One 77, got a P1 today, happy! :)

Welcome to the world of sim racing. It's a slippery slope. Wont be long until the next peripheral comes calling! Quick tip which seems to improve things some what. After the game starts and you're at the main menu. Makes sure you depress all pedals their full amount a few times. Seems to help with calibration.

The Merc AMG GT, what a car I couldn't stop driving it round Sebrung last night, so much fun.

Picked the C7 Z06 for the track day event, that thing has huge amounts of grip and really hauls down the straights.

So true! The only thing holding me back from expanding it any further right now is lack of a basement. At that point I'm going to build a gaming PC and it'll truly get out of hand!

I sometimes think I'd like a really good ffb wheel, wheel stand and gaming seat. At the moment I have a non ffb wheel and a comfy recliner chair

But I go through phases of just wanting to kick back the chair and use the controller. If I spent a load of money on high quality peripherals I'd feel almost compelled to use them all the time

Is that weird or does anyone kind of understand?

I do,which is why I think I should be playing this game 24/7 until it fully releases here,but I don't like using wheels,never have,probably because I don't drive irl.

Just out of curiosity... is anyone one of you, who's playing the Ultimate Edition already, able to run with a controller and simulation steering incl. all assists off? Generally I'm all for disabling most of the aids (I ran Project CARS, GT6 and FM4 this way), but I find myself spinning out way too much in this configuration. Esp. counter steering while the back of the car steps out is killing me constantly.

So I'm struggling how to train myself:
- Run with normal steering and all other assist (except manual clutch) off
- With simulation steering and traction control (which at least helps a little)
- Start fiddling around with the controller settings, while staying with everything off and sim.

Where did you guys settle with assists and controller settings?

Abs,no assists, auto, cosmetic(cause I want to finish and place well),I am struggling with some of the top end cars though.

Edit: oh and brake line only.
