So this Mini glitch might be clogging up the leaderboards, but I had an awesome run in the Boss 302 at the Daytona alternate layout that the League runs on. I'm 32nd in the Americas (with the top 25 spots going to the Mini), while I'm 80th overall (with 56 Minis above me).

Yeah that Mini glitch is a pain, they're onto fixing though so hopefully on launch day we get a patch for it.

Raceboy77's tunes have been my saviour since FM5 now, he's just such a great tuner.

I got the D-Type in a spin, tuned it for C-Class. Its a little slidey for me, since there is little room for upgrades (it starts at C487, so I can't put Race Tires on it) but it's a fun car to drive and sounds great! Not sure about the other two.

I don't know, I downloaded a 660 tune to use in the second volume as Ultimate Sport Machines doesn't allow cars tuned to the top of the class so I assume sport tyres were all they could fit in and keep to the PI.

I wish they'd have a little icon telling us the PI allowed/required for whatever race we're going to

I know its not a major, major pain but it'd be handy and tidy imo

In the tuning shop you can reset to the default parts, then all you do is look at what parts of been purchased for the car when using the tune.

One of the issues with Forza is a lack of rolling starts. The D-type was never designed to perform a standing start as no races it would be entered in ever called for it.

There was an issue a while ago when top gear got hold of one and Clarkson drove it, making lots of smoke for the cameras and trashed the drivetrain of the near priceless car in the process.

Anybody tried the Model S P85D yet? I added the upgraded motor with close to 900hp and put on the sports suspension and it's dead on A700. OK, it doesn't handle that well without a tune, but 0-60 in 2.4 and to 100 in 6.8 according to the benchmark figures is going to blow away anything in that class off the line.

Well, I have a Logitech G920 wheel on order. My boyfriend said I can have it as an early Christmas present. It should arrive sometime tomorrow, as we did next day delivery. I will let people know how it is in FM6 once I have it and have spent some time with it. I will also be testing the Logitech G27 shifter with it, as I have seen a couple of reviews that show it working with the G29 wheel. So hopefully it will work with the G920 also.

Yeah it was some close racing, we seem pretty equal. The Golf i was racing is not my setup. But its one of my fastest cars, so i will try and build some using it as a benchmark. That Civic of yours was a true rocket

Just hoping we'll soon see some real D-class hoppers as that league hopper is just multiplayer rivals.

That golf was destroying my cars The Civic actually did better then I thought it was going to! I was was a little scared at first because I didn't think it was going to do so good on the straights, but It seems that I made up enough time on the turns that it didn't matter.

Yas Marina was a really, really close one between us lol.

That may be the case for your region, but it is purchasable here in the UK. Both the G29 and G920 are available through Amazon.co.uk, pcworld.co.uk, and on Logitechs own website.

I believe the other league hoppers are opening today. I am only an average racer at best so I will probably hang in the no collisions hopper for a while until I get some more cars set up. Right now I only have maybe 6 vehicles that are set up barely decent for D class. Even a station wagon that yielded me 3rd place a few times in a room with at least 20 people.

Generally I am usually in the middle of the pack building mainly fun cars to drive.

I try to use the cars that aren't often used. That said, I'm extremely disappointed that they took out the Infiniti Q50S. It was an amazing fast/fun car in FM5

Same here. Those are the classes I have run since F1. I also try to use cars no one else uses. I absolutely will never use a leaderboard car. I would rather run something slower I enjoy and be in a lower place, rather than run what everyone else runs just to be in first.

The sad part is that the Eau Rouge is overdone and is just crappy in its respective class. The Q50 was the real performer.

The Golf is very well setup, it has low power and stocks transmission but is using Street tyres. I am gaining on it with my E28 M5, also a car thats not used much.

I prefer cars i can be consistant with rather then do one fast lap in the race. But trying to learn how to tune for both speed and consistantsy, seems quiet hard to get.



Also im racing mostly in the lower classes, S class and above is a little too insane for my slow brain

Le Mans was a standing start all three years Jaguar won it with the D-Type, 1955 through 1957.

Thanks for the tip but I've since worked out that my tyres are slidey because the series I was racing was at night and they hadn't warmed up. With the short races they don't really get a chance to reach a decent temp as far as I can tell. Back to mod cheats for me.
