I was just going to say that you are best leaving it to install fully, saves on potential issues. I think you may like FM6 more than FM5 by the way, at least where the steering feel on a pad is concerned. It feels more like FM4 in my opinion, so will be interesting to see what you make of it.

I would keep the demo on there just to be safe, until you win the car. It actually took about 6 hours until the car unlocked for me. But that could have been a delay on T10's side. First day is usually a bit slow. As I expect for today too once more and more people start getting into the game. Going to be a great day! Cant wait until some of you start playing.

I did detect better steering response in the F6 demo, so I'm very much looking forward to how this translates across various cars and racing conditions. Speaking of F4, I miss it to death. I really should hook up my X360 soon... fat chance though now that FM6 is here.

BTW, can I ask you guys how much free space is needed on your HDD in order to keep things running smoothly, optimal loading times etc? I have around 90 GB free at the moment (I will once FM6 gets done, assuming it's around 45 gigs)

The game is 45.9GB in size on my X1.

As for storage space, I have an external 2tb hard drive. So I have a lot of free space on the internal hard drive. I would highly suggest you pick one up.

I've been toying with the idea of getting it though I don't really need additional space at the moment. I won't have more than 5 or 6 games installed at a time.

Is your 2 GB faster than the built-in one?

Just finished installing - 44.3 gigs here, so it's going to need a day one update then.

Easy and quick reinstall though.

And more importantly not the main game!

I just deleted the Demo, and all that has been removed is the demo. Nothing from the full version of FM6 has been removed.

They are talking about all that happening if you delete the demo BEFORE downloading/installing the full game. Once the full game has been loaded and is playable, then it should be fine to delete the demo.

Been itching to see detailed pictures or video of Forza XB1 Console.
Thought it weird none of the big name gaming websites had a preview making it look lush with detailed photos, well found nothing during recent searches.

So it officially went on sale today in some regions but not UK till Friday and sure enough decided to try YT as bound to be owners showing theirs off.

Well, no, they aren't. They can't accidentally delete all FM6 content, if they content wasn't installed yet I deleted the Demo before I installed FM6 and it worked fine, and I also got the Ford GT as well.

Weird, I jumped on about 11:54 pm, got a notification that Forza 6 was ready to start, held down the button and the game launched; then it just quit and went back to the home screen, tried several more times with the same result, the last try was well after midnight. Hopefully I don't have to uninstall/reinstall tonight because that would suck.

You'll likely have to do a hard reset of your console. That is not an issue isolated to FM6.

I'm hoping it was just an issue caused by the game not being available to play until a certain time (usually it's about 2:00am PST, not midnight).

Well, talk about score. Just picked up my copy of F6. Since I've been a member of EB Games here in Oz, I never utilized it until the Signature Edition of GT5 and the 15th Anniv GT6. To my surprise, the lovely young lady behind the counter goes to the back, comes back with my game in hand and says, "You also get the special V8 Supercars steel cover edition."
As far as I knew, only pre-orders got that book. I'm a happy man. See you all in a few days.

And it gets better... I was wondering why the cover said Limited Edition. I also got the 10th Anniv cars. Plus, the Hell Cat and TT RS. Now, to figure out what is in this 2.2GB update that F6 says is required.

Can't believe how much easier this game is with the pad compared to the wheel. Have been struggling with the wheel to finish in the top three so thought I would try the pad, which I haven't used in a racing game other than arcadey games like Drive Club for over five years, and immediately I was winning races easily. It's a real shame that the wheel is so badly optimised as the handling with the pad is sublime.

Soooo, am I imagining things or were sounds upgraded? My SLS AMG GT3 used to sound weak but today it sounds downright evil. Low engine grumble, snarling exhaust every shift - pure audio bliss. I've driven this car quite a few times since the early release and I don't recall it EVER sounding this good.

Edit: Just took my Civic Type-R out for a spin. There's a definite improvement to audio (though that awful echo is still present - seriously, who thought this sounded realistic?). I'm also noticing cars backfire which I made a personal note of them missing the other day. The same shift/redline noise from the Forza 3 days is still here.

I tried Leagues, it was horrible. I did about five races and in all of them I was bashed against the wall at the start. In one of them I was left last because not only was pushed but also the car spun and lost a lot of time, finally I was able to get back to third spot. It didn't end there, I pass the guy who was third at the back straight of Yas Marina and as I'm finishing the pass the guy or girl bashes his car against mine making me spin again! I was able to finish 6th.

I hated it, if you are slow deal with it. Man, I can't understand this people, I'm a slow driver but I like having clean races. What's the appeal of winning when you used the guy in the lead as your brakes ( that happened on my last race, I was leading and he was in a Mini)?

I've actually had some pretty fun races in leagues. I think they need to open a few more ad make them ghost only, so if you are having a bad time of it with the first corner and collisions, you can stay clear of it.

Best to let your game finish to 100% installation before playing. Always.

Affirmative - 2.2 gigs. Don't know what it fixes or improves though.
