His opinons carry a lot of weight, there are a lot of issues and downfalls that I fear will continue to plague the series
I don't disagree with some of the points brought up. But it's how it's presented.
There's a disdain for the 24 car lobbies and the smash-fest that result. That's not really T10's fault, as idiot drivers are readily available in every single online racing game.
Could it be lessened with custom public lobbies? Possibly. I do find it a little funny that out of the two big fanbases here at GTP – Forza and GT – both want what the other has. Public lobbies are the norm in GT, but it can be tiring having to search for a suitable room. Some people just want to jump on and play, and the hopper system allows for that. It certainly isn't perfect, but as someone who doesn't want to spend time looking for the absolute right room, it appeals. I'm not a fan of the short races, and the seemingly small pool of tracks it constantly picks, though.
I do agree that non-collision Leagues should be scored on a clean lap, time-only basis.
The complaint about the Leagues changing regularly seems like a complaint for the sake of it. If they stuck to the same one for too long, you'd hear a complaint about that, too.
I've had tons of great, clean races in the hoppers. If I find a dirty room, I leave. *shrug*
The PI system not being perfect? Expected. There are countless variations involved, and the track the cars are on will play a part in it too. Just look at the
Lime Rock Hot Lap Board, and you'll see that not everything lines up. There really isn't a way to build an automated system like that without some problems cropping up. Looking at the tops of the A and S classes on the Modified board, personally, I'm surprised at the variety of cars that can run fairly close to each other, but that's me.
