Probably a stupid question but what is the white bar under the gear counter? Is it the fuel level or something?

I'm willing to bet that as soon as it turns 2016 Turn 10 are going to constantly pestered with

"Where's Porsche?"
"When are we getting the Porsche Pack"
"Is the Porsche pack available yet?"
"It's 2016 why isn't the Porsche Pack available yet?"

They said 2016.. so they could wait till 31st December 2016 if they wanted to

Though I would be very surprised if they did :P

Anyway, nevermind that, I want my Skoda Pack! :P

I want some more info on the Porsche pack myself and to know when they are going to have it so that we can purchase the classic Nissan Silvia in the dealership rather than going through a thing of menus to get to it.

So I think I might have figured out what is going on with the fuel mileage in Forza. I like having accurate stats on my cars and I was looking at the distance driven on a brand-new car tonight since it had a digital odometer so I could see how far I have driven the car on the track in Rivals. With some math and looking at all of the car history and Forzavista I've worked out that Turn 10 is basically doubling your distance driven. So if you go out and do a lap of Alps Club, a 2.52 mile course and come back and look at your cars history you will have around 4.95 miles driven, not exactly doubled but the weird part is that I was driving a brand new 500 so it had a KM odometer, stopped right at the finish line with 4km, go home view car in Forzavista and.... 8km on the clock.

With that I know the interior odometer is not accurate, or at least does not match the car history, 8km being 4.97 miles. What I am wondering is why would they mess with these stats? Yeah I wish the fuel consumption more closely match the tire wear but I'd take accurate information over that any day. (I'd also take a new format for Forzavistas distance driven, really? How is 100 miles hard to put there instead of 528000 feet) Has Turn 10 said anything about the fuel mileage? I'm guessing not given it is Turn 10 but...

Apologies if this has been posted before.

Does this have to do with double stints being the furthest we can race? As far as endurance races.

Clues for January:)

The January Car Pack will be announced Tuesday January 5 at 6 a.m. Pacific. The January Car Pack will be available for download later in the day.

Clue 1: You will be astounded when you unleash this beast.

Clue 2:
When you take a car to this level even a Prius is exciting!

Clue 3:
It’s ruling planet is Ur an us and it’s life path number is 4.

Clue 4:
They were a sensation, but this car is something truly special.

Clue 5:
Built to battle the Beetle

Clue 6:
One this bell is rung; you may find a seat.

Clue 7:
Two references to the Toyota Prius is two too much.

What do you mean? Like the length of the endurance races only being a double stint?
Yes. It was said by T10 "endurance" races would only be approximately, double stints in length. I've run my Mini '65 for about 12 laps(iirc) at Lime Rock and ran out of petrol.

How? That's the first I heard of it.

Did it just appear again?
Even if he happened to make another brand new save file after cancelling the sync, the next time he reconnects a notification will pop up alerting him that the save on his console is different than that on the cloud, allowing you to choose the older save file. If he backs out of the game before anything saving though, then when he starts up again it'll just resync.

So having reviewed all the cars I really want to at this point sans DLC, I suppose I can say which of them has been best.

First properly good car I drove was the Mazda Cosmo. Thing is exactly as a car of its level should be, drove it again today to complete the entire Super Street section although I have to say upping the power made it rather easier to unbalance. Still great though.
The Mitsubishi Evo 8 is probably my favourite car to drive in this game and that's not even taking into account my bias towards it. It's just so perfect for the way I drive in every way, although I suspect it might have helped that it was the car I started with as well. But even then it just feels better than anything else.
I like both the Maserati MC12 and LaFerrari, both of which have ability which defies their seemingly rather threatening power outputs. Yet they both are superbly controlled cars.
Lastly, shoutouts to the Formula E for being just as good to drive in game as it is to watch in real life. That series can do no wrong in my eyes right now...

The game itself is superb and it really does manage to separate the good cars from the bad ones - with the realism behind it you can really notice it. It's a superb driving game. That said, I'm not sure how the most powerful 'Dare' mod I've gotten is TCS and STM off - I've run without either since the very first race absolutely fine. Still, I'll take the 20% boost every time...

The question I have to ask now is; how should I handle the DLC? Part of me wants as much of it as possible so I can safely I say I have 'everything', but then again there are only three DLC cars at the moment I really want to drive (maybe four if I get the whole Furious pack), and I could just buy them separately. Which way is best, guys?

Also, is there any such thing as a randomiser similar to the one that someone has made for GT6?

If you really only want to drive a couple of the DLC cars, then it will be cheaper just to buy them separately. That's being said, I highly recommend the monthly car pass. Theres only a couple cars in the three monthly car packs that are out so far that I don't care for, and I'm enjoying cars I never thought I would. I've gotten all of the DLC, and the fast and furious cars I actually drive the least, but they are still fun. Just about every car can be made fun to drive if you know how to tune or follow a good tuner.

Just completed the Stories of Motorsport volumes, and boy does it feel satisfying. :embarrassed: I'm not sure if I'll go back to finish the car divisions, cause all I wanted was to get the career mode out of the way. Now that that's over, I can finally just relax, tune some cars and take photos until Forza Horizon 3, can't wait! :D

I just started playing multiplayer on Forza 6 for the first time. In the multiplayer hoppers, how do you select the car you want for a class? I did a race and it automatically assigned me a car for A class. Or do they just randomly assign you a car?

Never mind, sorry for the stupid question..I figured it out.

How did you find the wreckers? But seriously good luck, and don't be too surprised if you randomly get disconnected at the start of a race, it's a problem with their servers, along with sometimes cars not appearing, cars appearing but being able to drive through them (not ghosted), and cars appearing but being absolutely invincible to any kind of contact.

I'm sure these last 3-4 days have been the worst I've ever experienced with wreckers in a Forza game, usually the group I race with will just stay in the lobby and soon enough the worst wreckers will leave but these last few days there's no escaping them, we even went to a private lobby (a first) and had to start kicking people after every race because they'd join through their recent players or friends. Occasionally we race with a developer and people even start wrecking him, so he has no problem subsequently banning them from multiplayer  but we can't always be so lucky for him to be present.

I really wish we could get back the public vote to kick system that FM4 had, but instead of it only being for one player just have some numbers next to every player name showing how many votes they have against them, and how many are required for them to be removed. Sure, some people will abuse the system but it's got to be better than what we have now, where I'm wondering if anyone has ever been kicked through voting.

I raced about 10 races, and honestly the Internet connection was fine...I've read all the stories about the Internet disconnecting, and I was surprised that it was ok. I don't know how to judge my internet speed, it's not super fast by any means, I downloaded Forza horizon ultimate edition and I think that was around 44 gigabytes and it took about a day to finish, but it let me play before it was finished installing.
As far as the wreckers...lol. I knew what to expect, so I really wasn't surprised. I was actually laughing pretty dang hard..there's nothing you can really do. If you don't get a good position upfront, it's hard to get up there. I got rammed into a lot, that I noticed. When you try to take a turn at a reasonable speed you get slammed into from behind. I did race a couple races where there was only 10-12 cars, and that was a lot better. 24 cars is too much on certain narrower curvy tracks. Wrecks non stop, I was rolling on the floor listening to people in foreign accents curse and complain. So yeah it was definitely a cluster:censored:. Lol. I didn't really notice anyone intentionally wrecking yet, and I had good fun in a couple races with people racing clean. That's only 10 races or so though. I'm anxious to see what leagues are all about. I just tried the lobbies so far. Like I said I knew what to expect, you have to take it for what it is, so I didn't let anything upset me.(so far) :)

A few days ago there was a guy in one of the lobbies (D class I think), that was running people off the road with a FedEx van. It was annoying, but kind of funny due to how random it was to see a FedEx van in a race.

Gotta love making a racing livery on your day off. I've had to come and go several times today, but it's satisfying to get it finished before bedtime.

Sneak peak.

Is the sequential upshift and downshift specific to each individual car? I just started using my sequential shifter and up was downshift and down was upshift- it kinda threw me off.

That's how sequential shifters work. The theory is, as you accelerate, the weight shifts backwards, so it's easier to pull back rather than fight the inertia and push forward for an upshift.

I like it, and it does make sense. I Just wasn't sure. I had always binded the up with upshift and down with downshift when setting up PC games. I'm showing off my noob-skills, it would seem. Thanks :)

Reminds me of the backwardsness of Hyundai's window controls; backwards rolls the windows up, forward is down.

I'm really wishing for more Forzavista locations and camera freedom.

:(

Me too. It's sad that GT4 was a decade ago, and we still don't have an easy way of getting incredibly high-up shots, or ones outside of the track barriers. I'm also not sure why there's a distance limitation built into Forza's Photomode. Why does it matter if I want to walk far away from my car?!
