Relaxed, General Forza 6 Chat

I did a count of all forza 6 cars last night. Counted 531 cars which include base cars, anniversary cars, and exclusive VIP and all dlc. It excludes all unicorn cars or any other exclusive cars unlocked by vouchers. So with the porsche expansion, it will definitely take the car count to 550. It would be nice to know how many exclusive dlc and unicorn cars there are so we can add them to the list to see if Wed hit the 600 car mark. ?

Hopefully the DLC program runs a full year like it did with Horizon 2, in that case we'll definitely get above the 600 car mark or close to it. FM4 had 670 cars after all is said and done, I think FM7 will easily eclipse that number.

I was under the impression this March pack would be the last for some reason from what I've been reading on these forums ?

But I'm with you on this one, hoping that we get dlc up to September this year. Which was when Forza 6 released, sept 15-18 2015. I hope we're not wrong.

The car pass runs until March yes, but that doesn't limit them from releasing stand alone packs afterwards as been the case with Forza 4 and Horizon 2 which were supported for a full year.

Yes I bought the car pass as soon as I bought the game. Glad I did saved a whole load of money than if I'd bought separate. But I'm still going to pay for non pass content if we get it regardless if it costs more. I think dlc quality from T10 is more than worth it over dlc from some other games I could think of.

You talking about the Xbox live update? I read through it, you can compare gamerscore with with your friends list, something about party chat, a couple other things. The only thing that caught my eye that I like, is you now have access to your Pins when you're offline.

Was it an FM6-specific update, or an XB1 one? Because I'm pretty sure I had a system update around that size earlier this week.

There'll be reviews shortly thereafter anyway, assuming March 1st is the release date. Oh well, EA probably prohibited any promotion and exposure before the month of March.

Like I said, press is invited to sample the game early so their reviews can go live as soon as the game (or expansion) hits the market. I'm not sure why you think it's EA imposing the press embargo. Once they've got their money from T10, they could probably care less. It's T10 that's demanding the embargo, and that's just standard practice in the industry. They want as much press on release day as possible to really push the game. People breaking the embargo and publishing early steals the thunder and diminishes the marketing push.

Reviews based on the press event? Maybe. I may have underestimated things a little if that's the case. I hoped for nothing more than an on-stage presentation until I saw the picture of the booth displaying a Porsche 918 in FM6.

FM6 is my first game by Turn 10, so I can only compare practices to recent car pack releases. I expected more pre-release promotion for this expansion though.

For a while now, yeah you're right. Though they did the slow tease with the FM4 Porsche expansion, showing a few off every few days.

Really, not sure why they wouldn't want to do that this time.

There must be some agreement with EA and or Porsche on this secrecy, I think. I mean what else would keep Turn 10 so tight lipped about a large expansion pack?
