Woke up to see this in my Forza messages:

I am a very happy and relieved individual right now. :embarrassed:

That's impressive. It doesn't always turn out like that.

Almost had a heart attack, my games were loading slow but six worked after it was on this screen for a while

I almost thought I had to restart my game. The same thing happens with Horizon 2 but the furthest I got was a black screen, I'll try it after I get done with 6.

Pretty much sure within the end of this month (if it's not today) we could get the March car pack, and this make sense as February is shorter than the other months and that the Porsche Expansion is coming March 1st.

(Holy man, I'm really starving for new DLC.)

People always crave new content but the Porsche Expansion would probably overshadow even the best monthly car pack for a few weeks. Therefore it makes most sense to get the car pack out of the way first. The silence surrounding the Porsche Expansion is slightly unnerving but I guess that's just Turn 10's usual strategy, i.e. saving the announcement for release day. We'll know soon enough and I cannot imagine they would keep everyone in the dark if the Amazon leak was incorrect. After all, the news broke on most major gaming sites. Turn 10 knows the general public anticipates the expansion on the leaked release date, so not releasing it without any word would only cause a backlash. Of course, Turn 10 never announced anything other than 2016 but everyone knows how disappointed customers tend to blame companies for things of which they have no control and how rumors become facts in people's heads. Microsoft doesn't need negative attention like that if it could be prevented with a simple heads up from Turn 10. In fact, maybe the Amazon leak was supposed to happen. The power of viral marketing and so on. Just how I see it for now.

Sorry for being a broken record but:

Thursday February 25th there is a big Microsoft news and Media event in San Fransisco. If, and that's still a big if, the date on the Amazon leak was correct, Thursday may be the day we get an official announcement on the Porsche Pack.

It's possible but how likely is it the Porsche Expansion would get a mention, assuming Amazon was correct? I'm asking because I have no idea how significant it is within the very broad context of Microsoft news and PR.

I'd say the chances of it being mentioned are reasonable, if only because it's an expansion, not just another monthly pack. It'd be Microsoft's biggest news in the genre, at any rate.

Personally, I was hoping they'd do a slow tease like they did before release of the full game. Showing off a few cars each week. The silent approach doesn't do any favours.

I'm hoping this is a somewhat appropriate thread, although it's not about the game itself.

Would anyone be interested in a program which acts as a local offline leaderboard? Kind of like those featured on the older GT games (for those that played it). It would have separate leaderboards for each track so all the user has to do is select car, track, PI, drivetrain and enter their time and it will store the times for next time it's opened, also could add optional power, weight, torque inputs if that's wanted. I'll probably think about adding filters once I've finished the main idea.

The data would all be stored in text files so you can add/remove cars and tracks or just try to break it through there . I know for my personal version there won't be any Team Forza cars or drag tracks on there.

Just wondering because I need to try and get back in to C# programming again for a group project and thought this could be a fun little side thing that at least I'd use if no-one else does, so if anyone has any questions/suggestions/ideas I'm listening.

...but I'm racing right now!

@Im_Lukas - like the Hot Lap Boards? That could be interesting.

I'm slowly working through my affinities via the D Class hopper. Stumbled across a very competitive tune for the '70 Camaro, which maxed out Chevy. Wrapped up Datsun and Honda too. Next up is Toyota, since Audi doesn't have an appropriate car...

Overall the car pass was a decent deal, but it's a shame the amount of cars dropped from 10 to 6 per month, I know people like to complain about too much DLC, but honestly a game like forza can never have too many cars. Also wish they added some new tracks to make the wait for Horizon 3 a bit easier. The roster is pretty good as it is, but the classic fantasy tracks are sorely missed, nothing like Amalfi Coast and Fujimi Kaido in FM6 sadly.
Which makes me guess what kind of tracks could they bring in FM7? It seems to me they've covered all the major real world tracks that people have been asking for, japanese tracks might still be too expensive/hard to license, so what could they do? Bring fantasy tracks back? Cover even more American/European tracks?

How much did it cost to get that GT500 R35 as opposed to getting V8 Supercars(for all these years) and Mount Panorama? Could be something in that.

I think the sister tracks of Brands could come in: Snetterton, Oulton Park, Bedford, and Cadwell Park (my personal favourite). I wouldn't mind seeing Anglesey either, it's incredibly picturesque. Jerez, Portimao, possibly even Ascari... there's quite a lot of tracks that could be introduced, even without the Japanese locations. Though personally, I only really miss Suzuka.

Fixing the chicane before the Nordschleife portion of the N24 layout could be done.

Unless someone breaks the embargo tomorrow, don't expect any news from the event: being a press-only thing, it's not going to be streamed. Interestingly, all the news will come out March 1st...
