Rinsky's 2021 MSN / Rinsky's 2022 Final Tour Archives

There is no car model restrictions this season. It's our last season so I figured let everyone have fun. If things end up a one make so be it.

I would have specified if it was the non Chicane version. You can always ask if you not sure of something. I wouldn't have scheduled the non Chicane version without Tuning

By the way you thought we were at the Sarthe No Chicane and you chose the Nissan GT-R? It accelerates great at low to mid speeds but, it's a brick at high speed. The Gr.4 GT-R eats tires too.
Yea, the chicane thing was my deal. I seem to overlook little things like that. ??? I picked the GT-R because it had top speed of 172mph w/no chicane. Everything I tested was 170. I was sub 4min laps w/o chicane. It ate tires, 5 maybe 6 laps, I didn't get to DL the reply to review. But braking was good, handling was good until the tires went. I wouldn't have known about low/mid speed because I stopped using time trials. I was shocked as **** to be up front like that. It hits top speed AFTER the 1st chicane. After my JackAssery idea, I was lucky to keep Jarkulary in sight. After about 632 penalties I was out of it. Trying to take a little corner was major penalties.

As a side note: CW, you really put a lot of thought and effort putting this together. The up coming tracks are so different from eachother😉👍🏻 I'll run the rest of this season. I'm not sure about getting GT7 vs racing ACC, but if I get it, I'll be back. Thank you for your efforts.🍻🍻

Why use the sticks instead of the triggers??
With all of the new wheels coming out there has got to be bargains on used stuff if you ate in a bind. A wheel just improves the game so much, if I only had the DS4 to use I highly doubt that I would play but since I have a wheel I would drive everyday if I had the time.
I have tried using the triggers for GTS since it's what a lot of newer racing games have gone to. For GTS it doesn't properly register throttle and brake inputs with the triggers.

My current gaming focus is GT7. Unfortunately the price tag of the wheels is a little much for us. I would need to be able to slowly pay it off. I also don't really have to room around my PS4 for a wheel rig setup. So I view myself as poorly funded race team. We can't afford a modern state of the art race shop. With some big fancy wind tunnel facility.

I generally don't like Sarthe No Chicane without car tuning. Because it basically becomes battle of engine limiter. So whatever car has the widest default gearing is the fastest car. In the Gr.4 Class that goes to the Porsche Cayman. Which has very strange wide gear ratio.

@fastone371 That head-butt-wall emoji is made me laugh, thanks for that. You whooped me at Tsukuba.

I'd love to have a group practice with anyone, any time this week. I work 2pm EST to close with Sunday and Monday off. Sometimes I start it up after a cup of go-juice in the morning but I'm a night owl and don't sleep well so sometimes I'm getting up at 10-11am. Doesn't leave much time before work when that happens.

What times would you be available for group practice this week? @fastone371 @Cold Warrior @ThisGuyHere @Racer283 @Jarkulary

I'm a suffering insomniac on who lives a 3rd shift schedule by choice. I usually don't get up until mid afternoon. Unless I have something I to do before then.

Tomorrow I have off because of a snow day so I can do anytime tomorrow. Usually evening work for me unless I'm spending time with my Fiancé. I get off work around 4:15pm MST and home by 4:40. I could use a lot of practice to get comfortable with my wheel.

LMAO!!!
I get home from work at about the same time we start our races on Saturdays. I would be available for a few hours except Weds nights, I have pool that night.

Unfortunately I'm unemployed due health problems. I simply just lost the genetics dice roll. Most of my health issues are minor but, dealing with multiple issues at once is the problem. My attempts at being a productive member of Society have been short term because of most employers don't want to deal with me. So I still live with my family and I'm force live on government chump change.

2/5/22, South Tokyo 300 km
5. Tokyo Expressway - South Outer Loop
Gr.3, 58 Laps, Qualifying 10 Minutes
Twilight 18:00 Clear, Grid Start
Fuel x3, Tires x8
Fuel at Start 98%
Gr.4 Tires: RS, RM, RH

Looks like it says GR3 & GR4, look by tires

Was at work all day, what kind of lap time might I need to be competitive??
Thanks alerting me of that mistake. I corrected on the main forum.

From our practice today. Apparently upper 1:32s if you want to compete with QTip8329Wags here. I'm struggling just to get down into the 1:34s.

Well I am off too. Tires were frozen solid and the boss said stay home. Who is up to practice?

@Cold Warrior @fastone371 @Racer283 @Kermit_2142 @ThisGuyHere @Yard_Sale @anyone else I am missing.
Suuuuuck😒 I wish I would have known. Is it freezing everywhere or what🤔 We are having mid 20s in So. Oregon. I'll definitely be up for any time Mondays, Sundays a 50/50 depending what HQ has going on. Not sure if I'm making it for Tokyo. Wife has visitation rights every other weekend🤣 which made Rinsky perfect for me. I'll see if I can massage her a little, maybe get to chop the wood😉🤗🤣

Sorry I wish I could have spread out this season a little more. With Gran Turismo 7 being released March 4th. We were given a very limited time frame to close out this series. I'm worried about next weekend being a holiday weekend.

Don't listen to him...I ran my first 1,32.998 in the 'Vette right before we stopped. Was running a 1,32.5XX with the GTR in FIA Manufacturer Season 2 of 2019. 1,34-1,35 range is fine.

Anyone up for Practice 2 here in a bit? Sometime between 9pm and 10pm EST start time?

It's getting close to dinner time for me. Hopefully someone else join.

Still up for a practice lobby. Chances of work tomorrow are 50/50 but I still need to work out T1 and a fuel strategy. RS tires for certain though.
I just logged out at about 9:15 EST, I had a friends only lobby open with race settings. I always check friend lobbies to see if anyone here has a race lobby open when I log in. I could only manage 1:34's in the Corvette of course. I am still learning the track, I am not very familiar with this one, I dont see many places to make up time on this layout, its too short and not enough turns. The best tracks to make up time usually have a slow to medium speed corner before a long straight where corner speed really makes a big difference on straight line speed. Due to an oval being on the schedule there is really no other car option that I am aware of, I took a thorough beating by a Vette while driving the RSR last year, I learned my lesson.

Don't what season season your referencing. You won 8 regular season races last season. And 4 of them were Gr.3 races. Jarkulary ran the Gr.3 Corvette last. And you finished 5 of the 6 Gr.3 regular season races ahead of Jarkulary.

Due to issues with his wheel which has caused him to not finish a single race this season. And big promotion for job. Jarkulary has unfortunately withdrawn from the rest of the season.

Holiday🤔 Where you taking us🤣 No worries on schedule, I knew GT7 was on the radar. Nice to have a mini series prior👍🏻
