so not sure why you suggested I have no idea as one of way is to have differ polycount modelsThere's a few different ways to do it: tessellation, low-poly models, etc. The general idea is still the same.

I voted Q4 2020 because I'm thirsty for a new GT. I know it's far from reality given this is PD we're talking about.
Yeah... how much GT5 has been in development? 4 years? IIRC, GTHD was apart from GT5. If not, then it should be 5 years in development... wow, freaking insane for a racing game. And the final product didn't even looked polished enough.3-4 years between games is the average
People are still burned from GT5 which is where this extra long dev time narrative came from
Looks fine to me...GT5 is very anachronistic looking because of the amount of older assets that are used. Even the cars and tracks from GTHD and GT5P were starting to look dated by the time the full game rolled around.

Give us sauce about the GT announcement. Is there any article about it?The expectations for the next GT are so high. I miss so many tracks and features. When I think about it : a whole generation without Deep Forest, GT mode and car modifications! A French journalist said this week that the next GT will be announce late May, early June. I want to be optimistic and hope GT7 is planned for Q4 2020. However, I don't want a GTSport 2, I want a complete game at launch. Forza 8 will probably be huge and Poly won't top its car list, so Polyphony has to understand that sometimes less is more : Gran Turismo 3. Many good signs at the studio and who knows, GT7 could be the return of the golden age.
Yeah, maybe we ll get some news in coming few days and weeksPolyphony was the first in-house SONY studio to showcase a next-gen engine a year and a half ago with the ray tracing demo at SIGGRAPH.

I think the chances of Gran Turismo being part of the PS5 presentation are very high.
If they do that oh boy...Somehow I expect that Sony will publish Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4 at the end of the year with a patch for PS5. But if that happens we will have to wait ~4 years for the true nextgenOnlyGT.
If it comes out this year it´s for sure PS4 Game.

In all fairness they did the right thing by releasing GT4 on PS2.But what they did with GT4 and GT6 was bad
"Fake news" is news that isn't true. What the user posted was his opinion of what could happen - which cannot be either news or untrue. What he thinks might happen might not happen, but that doesn't mean he's lying about what he thinks might happen. That is Fake news.
but if you look back this could happen, they did it with GT4 on the ps2
and with GT6 on the ps3
That doesn't even mention that it'll be incessantly compared to MS' next-gen output, as Forza Motorsport 8 is set to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X
Finally, GT Sport doesn't require a re-release. PS4 games are backwards compatible with the PS5, and Kaz stated the next GT game would a "combination of past, present, and future". I don't think a re-release of a game developed on old hardware meets that criteria
It was a case in past but now aaa studios are very proffesinal and competent and also consoles are much easier to develop for. Ryse son of rome is one of best looking x one games and was launch title. To be honest... Even if it will be PS5 only title, i don't expect anything more than updated and complete version of GT Sport with added real Career mode and maybe dynamic time of day/weather and RayTRacing. I am pretty sure that GT Sport works as a base for GT7. With each console generation this is always the case, first games doesn't push consoles to their limits, they looks like slightly updated versions of last year games. The biggest and best graphic monsters always comes in +/- mid life of generation.
No, no chance because GT7 is being developed for the PS5 only. What i heard is that Forza Motorsport 8 will be cross gen... Maybe GT7 will be too?
I think 2022 is the year,gt sport will have some big updates in the first year of the ps5.
History tells us that Polyphony are not the type of company to go back to an old game and update it after a new game comes out. I doubt this will change with GTS being playable on PS5.I think 2022 is the year,gt sport will have some big updates in the first year of the ps5.
I meant updates exclusive to the ps5If we’ve already been told that updates will be modest this year why would they then ramp updates back up on old hardware
