If we're going to have a poll about such a serious topic, maybe it should be a more serious/meaningful poll... that's just stupid and pointless if you ask me... sorry...

Agreed.

It seems to have stupidised(?) my thread about a horrible event in our home town.

I never knew...I just heared about how they were trying to make it so you could get a signal and assumed there was none originally. My mistake.

Most stations (esp. in Zone 1) you'll have a job getting any signal, but quite alot of the 'Underground' is actually over ground... at Liverpool Street, the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines are over ground, but the Central line is underground... still, I dread the day that technology allows mobile signals to pervade the whole of the underground... mobiles are irritating enough, but maybe the security ramifications will prevent their insidious spread onto the tube! :yuck:

Indeed... it's unnecessary... I know it's probably not meant to be taken too seriously, and I'm probably having a sense-of-humour failure, but given the context, mood and tone of the rest of this thread, it somehow seems inappropriate.. :guilty:

@ the idea to catch and kill the terrorist:
First of all, you really can't. It could be one of your best friends, or even your mom. You can't see that he's/she's a terrorist.
Second, is that you can't kill them, since they're executing suicidal attacks...Which this probalby was. All you need is a bag or backpack or w/e..

Need to make 1 thing clear before this is started up.
Mel quoted "This one will turn into the " its all the Americans fault " thread."
I want to make this clear before it even has a start.

America is not the fault of these bombings. Its Terrorists.
If 1 American is to blame, its Clinton.

I've sat and listened (involuntarily) to mobile phone conversations taking place between Cannon Street and South Kensington - mostly low depth line, but still clearly below ground until Sloane Square.

I personally would be more than happy if they jammed mobile phones on the underground, but it couldn't be done... (I don't think...)

Way to contradict yourself...

ugh. my stupid TV is so ****ed up....I can't see anything.

There's all this crap on the hurricane when I want to see the london episode.

That's really unfortunate. These islamic terrorists are complete morons. They are totally un-islam. Jihad is a defensive struggle. If anything, they should declare jihad on themselves and hussein and all the other murderers breaking islam teachings. I have a good friend who's a muslim and we feel the same way. He's ashamed that these morons taint his religion.

All the luck to the UK...as Famine said, you've been through so much more.

Crap...my power went out upon writing this. ugh....I've had to wait here with battery power forever, and this is really pissing me off. no internet :( )

Whatever.

I'm pissed off enough listening to assholes on other forums blame Americans for the bombings and Terriost.

I meant, America itself, isn't to blame.
And I what I should have said is that if you want to blame one, blame Clinton.

I was in Glasgow today and the police were absolutely everywhere. My brother and I must have counted at least twenty or thirty cars and we didn't even go right into the city centre. Things are a bit crazy (to say the least)

Clinton had many chances to catch Terriost Organizer, Osama Bin Laden after his attack on WTC parking lot.

Of course, Clinton was too stupid.

Clinton wasn't in power in 2001...

He is talking about the Bomb in the parking lot underneath the WTC a few years earlier.

Clinton wasn't in power in 2001...
WTC had attacks before 2001.

During the time, Clinton could have caught him.
The World Trade Center has had 3 attacks.

1993
1 more
and then 2001.

Wikipedia only has the 1993 and 2001 ones...

The 1993 one occured one month and 16 days after Bill was inaugurated. And was planned by a Kuwaiti man named Ramzi Yousef.

You're right to be pissed off about people continually blaming America, and I agree with you to an extent - the sole responsibility here lies with the terrorists... my point was that Clinton is about as much to blame for (any) terrorist attacks as my granny.... these so-called jihadists (who care so much about Islam as to bomb Aldgate East underground station, right outside the East London Mosque :dunce: ) are not under the control of Bin Laden, or anyone else for that matter... they merely have a 'common cause'... even Hamas have condemned these bombings (as galling as that must be to bus bomb victims in Israel...)... in other words, they don't even speak with the same voice as other jihadists... quite what Clinton was expected to do is anyone's guess... and besides, Bush hasn't done much better, has he?

Though the six principal conspirators were in fact caught and tried 4 years later.

Funnily, we're nearly 4 years after 9/11. How many principal conspirators for that have been caught and tried?

I doubt it will.

It seems there will always be people out there that hate the way you live, and will do anything to stop it.

Whoa whoa whoa, whats happened to this thread, why this thread has been mergerd with one where someone is looking to provoke a fight I don't know. This thread needs to be civilised, and whoever melaniemoon (post 86) first quoted probably doesn't want that.

I just don't see how "Killing the terrorists" make it any better... Are we not then becoming terrorists ourselves? :odd:

No we are not because we are acting in prevention of future terrorist attacks.
